Is there a best point in the engine bay to connect the negative to? A photo would be really handy.

Top right hand corner above the battery is the chassis ground point.

Chucked a bucket of water over it. Three hours later this is the result.         Happy with that

Great. Thanks for the prompt response.

I use the 12v socket in the boot, into which I leave the CTEK plug attached to the CTEK 2m extension lead. It’s quicker and more convenient in my case, as I always reverse park onto the drive so I open the boot, take out the extension lead and attach it to the plug from the charger, which I leave hanging down from the closed window with about 15cm of lead and once inside, I switch on the charger.
I should add that I do have the battery cable with the socket permanently attached to the battery too, as this is easier to use in some locations.

So there is something pretty interesting that ive not seen on a single superb....

You can control the front passenger seat from the rear passenger door. I have no idea how this piece fits into the rear passenger cabin area, cant work out where it would mount on the door card or anywhere else?

Below is the references i can find for it.

Note: Not for memory passenger seat

It's standard on mine (a 2021 MY Irish spec Style) and is nothing but an annoyance in the absence of passenger seat memory.  My kids are always bumping off it/leaning on the controls and changing the seat position

Thanks both of you @varooom.

that’s pretty interesting to see where it’s positioned.

im in the process of fitting a memory passenger seat so half tempted to attempt to make this work with memory seats. Could be done with some internal modifications to the switch packs.

also if anyone has a destroyed ventilated seat - let me know, I want to strip it down and see if it’s feasible to fit to a sportline seat somehow.

Just got mine back from garage (jndy).  2018 reg with 39k on the clock.  Oil inspection service, MOT, CAM belt and water pump done as well as DSG service…just what you need right after Christmas lol !  Indy was nearly £400 cheaper than the stealers so could have been a lot worse!  Good time to maybe flog it now or PX for a campervan 😜.  It’s bloody filthy inside and owt, can’t wait till the better w weather comes so I can give it a right good going over!

Cleaned my iffy ignition switch after I almost couldn't stop the car engine this morning. Quite easy once you know how

I've also added more pictures to the original thread.

rolled over 160000 last night on the way home. Very happy with it. needs a service again, though....just wondering if this will be water pump + cambelt time. 5 years old in March... maybe not just yet but it should be at 180000, I think.

You might wanna check, mine was 5 years old or 40k miles whichever comes first...it just so happens that both fell at the same time as I only do about 7k a year due to it not being the only car in the household (we use the wife's for trips with the dog so mine doesn't get filthy 😀).  The annoying thing is that the water pump went about a month after I bought the thing (it had 1k on the clock at the time) and it got replaced under warranty but Skoda only replaced the water pump and not the cam belt (i was a bit less informed at the time sadly).  If yours hasn't been done at all yet then it might be long overdue given your mileage but don't quote me on that.

Finally got round to changing my spare key “cap”

interestingly from 2 years ago it’s a new part number with even more icons 😂

2 years ago end cap

New part number of anyone wants it and it was larking £18

Should it be a special P/N for UK or Canada? I don't really see any good reason why it should be different from the rest of the world... 🤔

Didn't you have the opportunity to change for the L&K model with both chromed ends? Even nicer and classier... 😉

Strange also this kind of "recyclable cannabis leaf" icon...  😂

I saw UKCA on something earlier too, so I’m not sure if it’s some new logo that’s meant to mean something, I’ll have a google.

The both chrome ends jobby looks good but I’m pretty sure that’s for keyless only, but I have the old school (which I prefer) flip key

My mistake! You're fully right! ;)

Here is the explanation about UKCA marking🙂

Have u got a TCU (DSG) tune?

If not, getting it might allow u to unleash more Torque.

Yes. Tvs stage 3 was done when i went stage 2 ecu ;)

Thats my engine tuning days done for life!

Just got to order the correct rear eibach springs, as the ones i ordered were an inch too tall. 😠

El mío no es OEM.

Es una pieza de AliExpress.

Como arriba, la escotilla no tiene una pieza cromada de fábrica, como la del vagón, ni son compatibles.

Awesome! I really like the power curve, that the peak power is at the rev limiter!

Can you explain your setup? Which aftermarket parts did you installed?
