I finally got around to trying my 200GB MicroSD card in my Columbus as I've more music than fits on the 64GB card I've been using (about 70GB when I last looked)....

I've never been able to get mine to read 128gb cards for more than the first couple of tracks.  64gb similar, and until recently, 32gb worked fine, but now one card is playing the same trick. Other 32gb card is fine.  The 32gb playing up was used to upload satnav update, tben formatted, then music added. Wierd. Maybe I'll try new cards, unless someone on here has any ideas as to the problem.

I'm using a 128Gb micro card and adapter.  No issues.  It was an old card from my drone so 4K speed,  maybe it's a speed issue?

Don't think so, as all my cards are rated for video capture.

By video rated I assume you mean that they V10 rated? I just upgraded my dashcam from a Nextbase 512GW to Nextbase 622GW and the cards that worked perfectly in the 512GW will not work at all in the 622GW. I had to purchase a special card rated for 4K video to get the dashcam working, so I suspect it is a speed issue.

What rating are they though?  My card is a SanDisk Extreme V30  (200 MB/s IIRC).

It might be worth chucking £14 at the problem and buying something like this

Thanks for the replies. Already using V30, but will try different brand and see if it works.

It could maybe be one of  those duff far eastern cards which is pretending to be a better card than it really is. Or on the other hand, it could a problem with your radio, some things will only accept cards of a maximum size. I have across that with dash cans and also some cameras will lock up if you try to use a bigger card.

Whenever that song (or artist) is mentioned, it is fixed on my mind the great view of Tango's sister playing to that track 🥰

My Blackvue Dashcam's Night vision stopped working, after 5 yrs.

So I decided to replace it with the 70mai Omni 360 Dashcam, and whilst I was hardwiring it, I tidied up the fuse wiring too.

I've used the following fuse locations for the dashcam:-

#16 - Phonebox (permanent)

#47 - Rear Window Wiper (switched)

Why have you got 2 permanent 12v supplies going to the dashcam, and why are they from different fuses?

U should take a closer look at the pic.

I don't have 2x permanent supplies for the dashcam.

Oh, so when you said that you had used

#16 - Phonebox

#30 - Boot 12v Socket

#47 - Rear Window Wiper

you didn't mean all three locations had been used for the new dashcam, fuse 30 for the Boot 12v socket you had previously used that for the permanent 12v supply to the TPMS and that you had tidied it all up?

Fuse #16 is the 12v permanent supply to the dashcam via a piggyback fuse and the phonebox and fuse #47 feeds the rear window wiper and also via a piggyback fuse, the switched supply to the dashcam 👍

Correct.

I've now updated my post so it's less confusing. 🙂

Just watched a video about this dash cam, interesting little tool, I'd like to hear your thoughts about this in due course after you have used it for a while. I recently upgraded mine from a Nextbase 512GW  1440 resolution to a Nextbase 622GW which is also 4K resolution and I like it but it was pricey.

Very little time lately, so just little things. My ride came with the 'metal pedals' but no footrest, and I could not help the bling 🤪

Install is a simple job, but I could not get the plastic retainer for the lever to open the bonnet to get back to its place. Nevertheless, the lever stays in its place and does its job ....

Checked if my Mk3 is concerned by this Takata airbags story.

Fortunately, it isn't!

Maybe a useful link for all those who'd like to check too:

Take care.

Thanks for posting this, I just checked mine and it is all clear.

Thanks! Mine also seems out of it. Still, next month when I have oil change will ask to check ...

With help from youtube, installed  AutoStopDisable. Video really works, just take your time, easy and with care.

Good video on getting the panel trim out, I'm looking to get the auto Stop Start module installed too, followed by replacing the peeling leather gear stick covers.

It appears that they pop straight out but the top clips that hold them together seem to easily snap.

Then looking to get some PDR due to botched Skoda workshop warranty job on the fuel flap, as well as replacing the whole fuel flap with a new one with new stickers.

How old is this recall? Googled it and seems a few years old, unless it’s another one

@Danoid It's about 2 years old. My O3 pre-FL was serviced and had MOT in 2022 and then in Dec 2023 it entered for another MOT done by the same Skoda dealer, but this time they replaced the whole steering wheel because of a potentially faulty airbag. The car's warranty has expired long ago but I guess that security features are still covered for longer.

Drove mine to Greggs and Back about 3 miles in total and no warning lights, horrible noises or blowouts so I'm calling that a rare win

Surely it working fine is now considered broken? 😂
