  • If your tailgate handle is 92x35mm and you ensure the camera is an NTSC camera then yes it will fit and work once you’ve done the relevant coding tweaks.

Ouch! However, directing someone else to do the hard work sounds like the way to do it :giggle:

I can add that ,ordering from aliexpress ,best option is to seek a camera with Sony lens(fisheye and clear HD picture +turning markers). It's a good quality and long lasting product! There is also one more benefit: It might be connected to all OEM Skoda medias(many people think it's iimpossible ,but it is).I'm using similar(without Sony lens already two years trouble free)

I'll be doing this when the weather warms up so keep the info coming, please!

All sorted now :)

Hi I’m looking to fit a reversing camera but want to do as little wiring as possible, ideally not having to pass wires through to the front of the car via headlining etc.

Has anyone installed a wireless camera and if so how easy is it to do?

i’ve got a 2017 pre facelift VRS Estate so any direct links to a suitable wireless camera would be appreciated.

Resurecting this old thread - just picked up a facelift VRS and would like to do this. Are the cameras linked from AliExpress still the best ones to go for or is there a better alternative now?

I'm after one with dynamic lines and a washer. I'll be hardwiring it in.

If you want one with a washer only OEM ones are available and they need to be bought with the parameter file loaded onto them unless you have VCP. Few people on eBay sell them or I can sort a price for supply and fit should you want that :)

Is this camera ok. I have O3 (my2016 with 6.5 screen and MIB2?  system.)

Camera 1

it appears it comes with all the needed connectors attached .

Yeah those are good cameras as long as you double check handle size :)

Do i need any other connectors, or is all there?. Since  my screen is 6.5",  720p camera is fine? Or should i look for 1080P?

Also is this set of tools for removing plastic panels to route cables ok? Do I need any other special tools for glove box removal?

TOOLS

Thank you for the help :)

Hi Sasha

By all means give me a price for the parts only as I don't mind having a go at fitting something like this.

Handle size is 110mm and it's going to a 2017 MY Columbus head unit. Can you do the parameter file as well?

Is it possible to code the camera Camera 1 with ODB 11 Pro or do I need to invest in VCDS?

You need MQB Handle A and these cameras require no coding :)

The supplier I get them from has 3 different handles for various applications so I’m used to defaulting to each handle type. Not sure how it does it, but they are plug and play, I’ve fitted 6 of them now.

local supplier ?

Makes sense ... have you used that aliexpress supplier above or are you able to share your supplier ?

Cheers.

I get loads at a time so you get some decent discount for that. Seller is reliable and packing is very good.

So it’s handle A to fit 2017 FL Octavia hatch with nothing else required and no coding?

Sahsa - thanks for the link ... I have a 2015 (December) Octavia and a 2019 (June) Superb ... so I need MQB A for the Octavia and MQB B for the Superb (it has the curved handle 111 x 44) ... and I dont need to do any coding !!! ?

Sounds too good to be true :)

If you have one in, can you send me the price for a 2017 MY Octavia 110mm original handle ideally with washer jet.

Thanks

Yes, as long as the Octavia has the bigger boot handle

I don’t quote to supply only unfortunately, there would be no money in it for me so if you want a handle with washer you will need an OEM one for which I recommend vwmodul.de direct or via eBay.

Nice one, thank you so much. Now to find a fitting guide on ripping the interior apart lol
