Well I bought a Spanish SIM, used it as a WiFi hotspot, and Roberts one of Father's brothers.

...how to make one of the most stunning circuits look boring...run F1 cars around it. Praise be that Assen lost the fight for the Dutch F1GP to Zandvoort.

You need IPTV in your life and a firestick

Wasn’t a bad race to watch. Was acceptable. Lewis running away with the championship. Bottas can’t be too hard on himself, must suck racing against one of the best of all time in the same car. Way to make yourself feel deflated every other week.

Thanks for the top tip 😉. My Firestick is sat here in Spain with a top VPN on it, just the lack of a TV or Internet connection is holding things up.😆

100 Meg Fibre install Tuesday, big screen 4k telly's start at 200Euro, so we'll be all sorted by the weekend.

(Torque is the motorsports app I'm using, bloody brilliant, years ago it was call Motorsports Replays I think. Glad to see it back)

Did "Cool Thud" bleat endlessly about "how unfair it was that drivers who were cheating by running off the track got stuck in gravel traps"?

Stefano Domenicali the ex-Ferrari Boss will take over from Chase Carey as the Head of F1 from 2021 it has been confirmed. Must be paying him more to leave Lamborghini. Mercs looking like 1.0 seconds faster than 3rd fastest Renault after FP1 and FP2 in Sochi.

So the era of Ferrari having a different set of rules to all the other teams is likely to continue :wall:

Lewis puts in a blindingly quick lap in FP3 at Sochi to leave his team mate 0.7 second behind and 3rd fastest Sainz 0.8 second back. Max a full second back and Alban must have car problems because he is over 2 seconds slower than Hamilton. Boiling nicely for qualifying at 13:00 BST will LeClerc manage to hold off Russell in the Williams as he was 1.5 second slower than Lewis and the Williams 1.7 second slower (finished 12th and 13th).:D

Ferrari is so nice to drive Charles is 11th on the grid after Q2 and team mate Seb crashes (again) and ends up 15th. Excitement for Lewis jumping from 15th to 4th barely starting his Q2 lap with just one second left on the clock. That could have been disaster.:whew:

Lewis dominates Q3 with a 0.5 second gap back to Max in the Red Bull and Bottas must be gutted with 3rd place on the grid. Pole Position 96 for Hamilton.

It is a disaster. He had to do that time on softs so he's knackered strategy-wise. 33 & 77 are on mediums, so they'll likely tow past at the start then hold him up/go longer on a one stopper. Hamilton will do very well to get better than 3rd tomorrow.

That was already confirmed last month. Ferrari's bigger slice of the pie, and their rules veto are both written in to the new Concorde agreement that all the teams agreed to.

Where do we start with the Russian GP summary. Shocking stewards giving Lewis a penalty and more points on his race licence. He collected 15 points for 3rd and now has 10 points (penalties) so another 2 points awarded by the stewards would give him 12 and an automatic race ban, just what F1 fans want.......not. :wall: Bottas gifted his 9th race win and only 81 behind his team leader. Glad I'm not allowed in the Mercedes team de-brief.:fubar:

2 points to Hamilton now rescinded.

How I laughed at Bottas "F*** You" to his critics.

Surely he must see his win was gained wholly in the stewards office (with a Fellow Finn driver steward no less).  Hamilton started on the wrong tyre because of a penalty in Qually. And without the 10 second stop go penalties, Bottas didn't ever really look like beating him, even on the better tyre choice.

I suppose Valterri must enjoy whatever crumbs fall from Lewis table, but the radio "F### You" speech wasn't really valid this time.

Call me cynical, I have lost count of how many seasons the FIA or F1 authorities have intervened to try to extend interest in a season or counter a dominant team, by changing rules or spurious decisions. Verstappen said 'we managed to split the Mercs'Er no, the stewards managed that. All's fair in love and war until it's Ferrari, the team which obviously cheated terribly last year and a private deal was done to keep them in F1. No other team would have been allowed to cheat so openly. Watch Hamilton get a race ban for something else....

What a farce today with the decisions

love how Grosjean smashed throught their daft turn 2 bollards too.

joke race

I don't have an issue with a driver getting penalty points for a transgression of the rules, but it seems that dangerous manoeuvres, causing accidents and crashing into barriers causing a safety car or a red flag are racing incidents. Twelve drivers were warned regarding the re start pile up at Mugello, but no penalty points handed out. Enter the pit lane when closed or carry out a practice start in the wrong place and out come the penalty points.

How does Hamilton have 10 points and Grosjean the most dangerous driver on the grid have 0.

probably a bit of underlying racism although Lewis can’t quite say that.

The stewards rescinded the 2 points bring him back to 8 points and replaced them with a 25,000 euro fine instead.

The stewards ruined the race.

would of been a good race with the different tyre strategies of the mercs, but they blew it. Snooze fest.

Sainz is honing his skills for when he joins Ferrari by hitting the wall.

Get the feeling that the FIA don't want Hamilton to beat Schumacher's race win record.

Probably not or equal / surpass his titles.

Lewis did say in an interview afterward “they are trying to stop me”

Perhaps they have a problem with his recent choice in tee shirt messages. Less politics and more sport might be a good idea .😉

I suspect it is because of the thing that he actually did. His team expressed surprise when they saw how far up he went to practise his starts. They even said of the second practise start, 'that won't go unnoticed' so they knew he might be in trouble. Misunderstanding between Hamilton and team, unfortunately, led to his being penalised. Perhaps 2 x 5 second penalties was a bit harsh, but he was always going to get something for the second start
