Unit must be patched first (swdownload) and MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T version with modified metainfo2.txt file must be used. If you don;t have CANTON then after such upgrade right and left channels will be swapped.

Dont bother, I found in previous post that latest is MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T. But what does this mean :"External amplifier (Bose, Bang&Olufsen) might need dataset after update."? Is there som guide available what needs to be done?

I have Canton sound system in my L&K 2018 Superb. Maybe this should not affect my case?

If by MIB2 Columbus display you mean 5E0919606 then the answer is yes, but two buttons (NAV and TRAFFIC) will not work as 5Q0035840 does not have oem sat nav built-in.

I managed to update to MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T without issues.  Just needed to follow instructions from fw download site.

When you unzipped the file and copied contents to SD card did you get some files saying they couldn’t copy properties over?

No, i just unarchived downloaded archive file, and copied all the files to sd card which I formated to fat32 and set allocation to lowest possible.

Ah ok I just used 7zip to extract to card rather than windows ‘Extract All’ and it seems to have done it with no nonsense

Nope, 5Q0035840 (with no letter suffix) supports MirrorLink only - no Android Auto, no Apple CarPlay.

I've attached a photo of my system. I am seeking the ability for it to support Android Auto specifically. I have read that I need to be wary of what version my device is, I am currently Android 14 on a Pixel 7a. 

 

Do you have any other information that may help me with enabling this on my unit?

@skodanewby315 I sent you link for the latest firmware for your unit. These units support Android Auto - see the screen when you select SmartLink from touch screen menu.
