Do you know sportline springs that are lower than the standard ones? That they are not Eibach because in the end they go down too much ...

Here's a list of standard rear springs (including KYB RA5337) for the Superb MK3 Estate 2.0TDI 4x4 190PS showing that they are sold to replace OEM part number 3Q0511115M

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/coil-springs-10213/skoda/superb/superb-estate-3v5/115169-2-0-tdi-4x4?criteria[100][0]=HA

The "VW Online Parts Catalogue" shows that 3Q0511115M is used on the VW Passat 2015 onwards. The VW online parts catalogue only goes up to 2016 so doesn't include the Superb MK3.

Take a look at the following 11 sports springs (lowered 15mm) that are used on the VW Passat 2015 onwards. The list goes from softest to hardest, or weight range 1 to weight range 11.

3Q0511115S

3Q0511115T

3Q0511115AA

3Q0511115AB

3Q0511115AC

3Q0511115AD

3Q0511115BH

3Q0511115AE

3Q0511115AF

3Q0511115AG

3Q0511115BD

However, autodoc don't list any matching aftermarket springs for these 11 sport springs. You could order any of them through a Skoda parts department, but you won't know the specification, other than knowing what the weight range is on the Passat or where that particular spring is in the above hierarchy.

Mine has "1JP = Rear shock absorption"

....and "G04 = Shock absorption in front"

It has factory DCC, non Sportline.

1JP and G04 refer to  models with electronically regulated shock absorber (DCC).

Model numbers differ for the springs, but the part numbers are often the same.

For example,

1JP (DCC): Rear spring PR-1JP-0YD = 3Q0511115AK

1JA (non-DCC, Standard, no Sportline): Rear spring PR-1JA-OYC = 3Q0511115AK

@Haystack1 could you take a look at the springs on your car for color codes or actual part numbers? Front springs have painted color codes. Rear springs have paper tags with part numbers printed on them.

My car is about to reach 100.000 km, so I just ordered off ebay a set of Bilstein B6 dampers to assemble with the original springs maintaining the original ride height. I'm sick and tired of the bouncy ride specially at high speed roads.

https://www.ebay.es/itm/401530447405

Part numbers are:

35-229872 + 24-229890

Can't wait to have them assemblied!!

Hi there

just joined the superb mk3 with my 2020 2.0 TSI 184bhp saloon version. Am based in Singapore and the car here is right hand drive

may I know what is the bilstein B6 damper part numbers? The current suspension setup is too soft and wallowy

Thank you

A question for those who have gone down the B6 + stock spring route.

When fitting the spring to the damper, did you still have to use the item marked "13" on this diagram, for the bottom of the spring to sit in ?

Many thanks!

Una pregunta para aquellos que se han ido por la ruta de primavera B6 + stock.

Al colocar el resorte en el amortiguador, ¿todavía tuvo que usar el elemento marcado como "13" en este diagrama para que la parte inferior del resorte se asiente?

¡Muchas gracias!

If you install them, tell us if you lift the body, please.

When my shocks go B6 top of the list for replacements. Can is a standard SE, my priority is comfort, not sportiness.

Can B6 drivers confirm if the comfort has been retained, or has any harshness crept in since swapping?

When I fitted B6s to my octavia with stock springs there was a definite firmness added.  On short low speed journeys it felt more jiggly, particularly when the shocks were cold (this could be cold bushes).  Medium and higher speeds it was definitely more comfortable to the point that I felt fresher after long journeys (compared to stock shocks).  The lowering changed the dynamics once again but that's a separate discussion.

To answer your specific question:  no harshness but a definite firmness.

I fitted them to my Yeti a few years ago, I found them just as comfortable (in fact given the old dampers were knackered and thudded/crashed about - it was a big improvement), but with more body control, exactly what I feel our Superb needs.

I'll let you know in the week when I fit them! But if you are going to get them, be prepared for 6 weeks of waiting... Thats how long it's been for me....
