Don't forget to leave 1.5m clearance when you do ...

That’s no fun, I need to be close enough that they can experience the full effect of my 8mph wake

Stanley didn't make it ☹️  After consultation and medical (read arboreal) advice it was agreed to switch things off and allow nature to take its course.  He went peacefully to join his maker, and wasn't in any pain.  It was the right thing to do 🥲

At the risk of sounding cruel and shallow, meet Stacey:

Stacey is a rescue.  She came to us with her bigger Sister, Stella (it didn't seem right to part them) from a garage sale in Seaford.  She seems amicable and good natured.  Nice, stable outlook and I'm intending this to be her forever home 👍

I missed that one...oops. Been away for a while with family matters.

I oft notice your absences, and just assume you're on a working assignment (or stealing pizza 🍕).

None of our business, but I hope the family stuff's alright, or as alright as it can be.

Thanks for the thought.

Mum passed away last week. She fought dementia for 4+ years and so in many ways it was a relief that she finally received lasting peace. It's a very cruel illness and I recently heard someone call it the "family disease" which sums it up well.  I'm ok now, as it was worse to see her suffer for so long.

Watching the further dismantling of the Royal Sovereign Lighthouse 😞

Crappy photo through wobbly binoculars with a wobbly iPhone:

The main bodywork and helipad is now off and floating away on a barge, just leaving the concrete tubular column it stood on.

Keane's song will never be the same  😢

EDIT:

A better photo than I can take:

Stables across the road from us lost a barn full of straw, hay and feed today. Volunteer fire service arrived about 11:30am. Technische Hilfswerk (volunteer specialists) arrived later to dismantle what's left of the barn. They're still working on it now at 20:00. Thankfully no animal or human casualties.

Boo.

Boostered only a few weeks back too.

First time for me, as far as I know.

Headachy and coldy but nothing severe really.

With any luck, it might only last a few days. My son had it a few weeks ago and after 4 days he was clear again.

Medicinal whisky has been deployed. I don't seem to have lost my sense of taste, cos it's still not nice.

Yeah, that's what I do when I feel ill, I have a hot drink with a good slug of medicinal whisky in it and go to bed a sweat it out.
