Thank you @jacekben76

I don't know the source/content; I recommend downloading it from https://mibsolution.one/#/1

After installation, load 1985 or 1989 instead of 1969.

Hola, donde podría conseguir los archivos de la 1969? gracias.

Edited by Toniortiz

This update happened to me OTA last week. Update seemed to go ok. Message asking me to accept the download. Then another message asking me to accept the install and advising me to get out of the car, which was great because I'd just parked up for the night outside my house. Then next day, a message saying update was complete. Followed by another message asking me to accept "Application updates". All seemed to go ok, no error messages.

But since then I've had nothing but problems with the Infotainment console.
Switching between applications (e.g. from the SatNav to Phone, or from Phonecall to Home Screen) causes the system to just hang. Sometimes after a minute or so it will reboot itself, sometimes it just hangs and I have to hold the power on/off button to get it to restart.
Switching to CarPlay worked ok to use the mobile phone SatNav, but then when I arrived at my destination the console stuck on the carplay map display. Trying to press the Home or Menu buttons did nothing.

Infotainment also seems to take longer to 'settle down' once I start the car. It seems to try to start back up on the same screen that it was on when I turned it off. But when it starts up I get messages like "Carplay not available", or "Home not available" etc, before it all settles down after a couple minutes.

If I can get it to respond, if I go into System Info, I can see its at firmware 1969, so the update has definately installed.

Hoping either this stuff will all settle down as it maybe finishes cleaning up after the update, or if its an issue with buggy firmware, a new update will be coming soon that fixes it all.

This sounds like the car has installed the new 1989 software rather than 1969.

@WaveyDavey Sorry, typo. Yes it is 1989.

And since yesterday its getting worse. Now it randomly decides to disable the parking sensor but then its ok next time I turn the car on. And pressing the Home icon consistently causes the unit to hang and reboot itself. The Menu icon and screen seems to mostly be ok. I can access the apps like NAV or Phone or Radio and use them ok. Sometimes switching between apps causes the unit to freeze and reboot itself, but not always.

Its starting to drive me nuts! Its a second-hand 70 plate Octavia Mk4 with MIB3, so its well out of warranty and if I take it to a Skoda dealer to get it looked at they'll probably charge me a couple hundred quid just to reset/reinstall it all.

At this point, I'm considering trying a 'factory reset'. Anyone know exactly what this will do? I assume its going to revert the firmware and maps versions back to what they were when the car was new? And then the OTA firmware update will kick in again? And I can reload the latest maps database download from the Skoda portal?

Thanks.

There's a separate thread about the new 1989 update with others having the same issues..... You might be better posting on that thread instead.

Thanks. Sorry for causing confusion in the wrong thread.
But Very Happy to learn other people having the same problems as me! It likely means I didn't do anything wrong (or we all did in which case I don't feel like such a dummy if other people did it too). And I've gotten some guidance about doing a 'factory reset' which others have reported fixes it all. Fingers Very Firmly Crossed!

Hello!
I got firmware 1788 on my car, and never got any system upgrades via OTA.
How should i update? 3 or 4 steps process 1788-1941-1969 or 1788-1896-1941-1969?

Hi.

I had 1804 and i made direct to 1969.

No problem, only take some time (about 30 minut es)

I went straight from 1896 to 1985, so if you do manage to get to 1896 no need for '41 or '69, although unsure if you'd need '85 before '89.

is there any release notes what is fixed on 1989 ?

How you download software

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum, so I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with a self-update, as I am currently looking for the installation package to update the old software in my infotainment system.

I’m looking for some help with updating my infotainment system on my Skoda Octavia IV. My current setup is:

SW Train: MEN3_EU_SK38X_P0393L MU SW: 1315 Hardware: 096

I am experiencing several issues, including the missing "User" icon, which prevents me from using online features and OTA updates. My local authorized dealer is asking for a ridiculous amount of money for a manual software update, so I’ve decided to do it myself.

I am looking for a reliable link to download the full firmware for MEN3 (ideally version 1896 as a first step, or any stable newer version compatible with my hardware). I want to make sure I don't "brick" the unit by installing the wrong (MOI3) software.

Could someone please provide a download link or guide me on where to find the correct files for manual USB installation?

Thank you in advance for your help )

Does any one know how to download skoda 1969 software

There should be a link on here for it somewhere, search through the entire thread from the beginning

Hello,

I have bought 2020 octavia combi first edition. I live in Croatia. My current firmare version is:

Device part number: 5E3035816F

Hardware: H56

Software: 1806

Display unit hardware: H44

Display unit software: 2088

Navigation Database: 23.11

Media Codec: 3.1.4

Because I cant make myself as primary user and link car to MyŠkoda app (factory reset didn't help), I want to update firmware.

After reading this topic, i will try to update to version 1941 first. While I wait for USB-C drive, can you guys check if I have all the correct informations:

-Firmware is located on MIBsolution.one -> MQB_Solution ->MOI3 -> LG -> MOI3_EU_SK_R9410L MU1941_SK20230615S

-USB drive formatted to exFat

-car hood lifted

-not sure about the engine, because i saw both versions here in replys - 1) Only ignition turned on, lights and clima off, battery fully charged or connected to charger OR 2) engine running during update process

-wait untill everything is updated and restarted (around 30 minutes)

-factory reset and that's it.

Hello. That's it.

I left engine running during update, didn't have hood open though I don't think
