  • Glad to report had no problems with mine so far (5500 miles) but the tyres are a bit crap in the wet. Even the grey seats have survived the initial onslaught of oil and charcoal from the kids - get t

  • I also have had no complaints as yet. PDi had been done superbly, no rattles, squeaks or anyhting untoward.

Me neither.

Are you still having "fuzzy seat" problems now then?

Ivan' date=' are you having "fuzzy seat" problems too?

flatfourburble, am I right in saying you've had "fuzzy seat" problems too?

[center']In fact anyone who has/are having fuzzy seat problems too, can you update us all as to the current problem report status please? It would be invaluable for everyone to know - including Skoda.[/center]

Many thanks,

Sorry Wayne only just seen this.

Yes still got Fuzzy seats but the dealer we bought the car off is replacing both seats covers for us under warranty.

I have slight fraying seats in my fabia vrs. TBH, haven't approached a dealer about it yet as it's not that bad. But if there's a precedent set by the complaints already made, I will get mine recovered!

I have the same (fuzzy seats) but never even noticed it as a problem until now.

It's only slight, but I'm keeping an eye on it now.

4,700 miles and still no fuzz in here yet.Just a broken drink holder lid cus I kept belting it with my shin, forgetting to close it.Twonk. Totally satisfied

OK thanks for that. My photo is a close-up photo of the seats and seems to exagerate it, but nevertheless, it's an issue. Like you, I think it took awhile for me to notice. Keep in touch.

fuzzy drivers seat for me after only 1400 miles other seat is ok

Good luck in your quest for new covers lads!

Find it v odd that these seats are probably made using the same material from the same supplier, yet some fuzz and some don't

...I have side air-bags in my vRS. Has everyone else whose got fuzzy seats also got side-airbags???

Just a thought because I know chavyboy and my spec is almost identical and he has fuzzy seats too

Questions, questions.

No one at Skoda or the dealer has said that to me that I can't have replacement covers, my question posed to them is what reassurances are there that it won't happen again. I don't really want to have to be back and forwards to the dealer after my poxy MINI experience.

All I hope is that decide to release "Full-leather interior sports trim" as an option. Anchracite Leather please Mr. Skoda!

Oh well, I can but hope...

Good solution that wayne. Thought about the leather route myself, not because of the fuzzies, but because of the colour!

Thought if I was going to change from lovely when new but bound to go grubby in time white,I may as well go down the cow's bum route.

Just the mither of it being off the road...oh yes and the cost, that is putting me off at present.

More important directions to head for at the mo.,like mapping and suspender mods!

No, mine are standard.

I'm on 13,000 miles now with no other significant problems to report bar one or 2 little rattles that have developed, one at the top of the dash on the passenger side and one that I think is in the drivers door. They don't appear very often so it'll be hard to track them down.

Mechanically (which is more important lets face it ;) ) everything is totally sound :D and I usually get 48 - 53mpg. Might look for different tyres to the Michelins though when their time comes though I'm not having any problem with them (probably means I'm not going fast enough). The car has so much more grip than anything else I've owned!

A very happy owner in other words :D

Many thanks,

yes and no. Yes but not in the place where the rest of you have had it hence the no. Mine in at the top by the head rest. Also my passenger seat have "creases" in them dont know how though.

I got a god almighty grinding noise when reversing yesterday it sounded like a train pulling up.

Anyone else?

Ditto with mike no other faults and to be honest I'm 100% happy with it but they I have just come from a car that spent every month in the garage so you can see why I'm pleased!!!

Sorry mate but

Good so it wasn't just me then :o

Good so it wasn't just me then :o

ditto :P

I had an interesting fault recently - I had a strange clonking noise every time I started her up and again when I pulled away - I was convinced the clutch or something else major was knackered

After a look under the bonnet, the engine plastic cover had come away near the bulkhead - there is a rubber grommet that secures it. So when you accelerated etc it was flapping against either the strut brace or bonnet

Phhheeewwww...........

120% Happy - (especially as i used to own a Renault Clio, that was in the dealer at least once a month!!)

I've had it 1 month 2000miles - no sign or furry seat syndrome, however, it sounds like the 10:15 Manchester Victoria to London Euston, when i reverse!

Also, i have noticed that, there seems to be a lot more soot from the exhaust in the last 200 miles, as the turbo kicks in! Is this normal as i've never owned an oil burner before.

NOW I'M DRINKING FROM THE BLACK PUMP

Extra soot might be the recent hot weather - mine has been bad in the last couple of weeks

I get plenty of soot at full throttle.

It's a stealth thing.

Had this recently too, but I assumed it was the suspension loading/unloading and as I've got some new Eibachs on the way wasn't too bothered. Noticed the engine cover was off when I did the washer bottle and it hasn't done it since ;)

Is this because it turns the ventilation system onto recirc when you put it in reverse? :)

Chris

Was thinking more of the groaning brakes :)
