Limited Edition vRS

Featured Replies

why does anyone still want one of these with a whole host of newer better cars out there.

The Fabia is very much a polished turd these days i'm afraid.

   Wash your mouth out!!

There still isn't another exclusive Diesel hot hatch out there yet and what with the value for money and build quality, it's still right up there.

Just wondering (as thinking of ordering), what if any discount has anyone been given?

I got a decent px-9300 for a low mileage 04 mini cooper but no discount given.Dealership where i ordered is very confident all will be sold at stated price. No info on delivery, paperwork just states asap.

My dealer specifically said there was no discount available as its limited edition and they are sure they will sell all 1,000 so dont need to sell at discount to anyone!

I have asked my dealer about the 'leather seats' as I personally did not like the seats pictured a few pages back with leather outside and blue suede inside. I would rather have the all black leather vRS chairs with blue stitching and piping. My dealer believes they will be all leather i.e. not with suede middle, but for whatever reason they dont seem to be 100% sure about anything to do with this limited edition.

Does anyone know for sure what the seats will be like? Suggestion was the ones pictured may be from foreign markets, which do differ as some seem to get xeons as standard judging by posts on here.

Be interested to know what everyone else is being told about the seats. Also, has anyone been told where the 'numbering' will feature?

I asked if I could add any optional extra's to mine and was told you couldnt add anything to the ltd ed? Is this also what everyone else is being told as everyone appears to be getting diferent information?

I phoned the dealer and after talking to a sales person who I have bought cars from before I managed to get a few hundred off.

The seats are shown on Skoda's main site and have the blue piping. There is now a section about the Special with pictures. Also, I was told there are no other options.

To you teok >

You have ordered one of a 1,000 motors in a super colour. With an enhanced spec. Last of the production run. A wealth of knowledge to fall back on. Pretty reliable with a solid motor underneath the bonnet. Absolutely super grin factor. Good MPG. Good resale value. Low insurance for a hot hatch. Potential to pimp if required. VRS Stu`s webby to look into. Lots of little extras you don`t get with other cars. Ability to fill up at the garage nearside. I.E choice of 2 pumps, nearside and offside. Yes the fuel pump will reach. Low insurance and you want Xenons...:)

You made the right choice, can`t answer the questions but you made the right choice.

hmm... still not convinced!

Looks as though it has all been confirmed on official site;

I like.

Blue piping had me worried as I thought there'd be more of it than that. But that's quite nice.

this is just making me more and more impatient to get mine !!!

Does anyone know if any dealers are doing 0% finance on this?

I'm relieved to see that the seats are all leather with blue piping. The suede inserts shown previously did look great but I felt would look tatty after a while.

Re the need for xenon lights, I also was looking for this option but dealer advised it's not available with the ltd ed. However, the last issue of Diesel Car showed some new Philips X-Treme Power replacement bulbs which give 80% extra output than standard bulbs. Available in H4 and H7 fitments for

The 0% offer was only valid for cars registerd before the end of March.

I think you'd have to be quick/lucky to be in the postion of a dealer being able to register a Ltd Ed during March, plus there may be small print which rules out "special editions"

no harm in asking, I suppose

Was in a dealer today, he has sold 5 of the 8 cars allocated to him and the 0% is not an option.

I wanted xenons also, thats why I didnt opt for a ltd edition. Oh and mines being built after the run of ltd editions.

Yeh, same here i would have bought the limited edition if it had Xenons or ESP or both, even it did cost abit extra. Would have been worth it though.

So instead i bought a black one.

Also I've heard that some of the cars which are after week 12 are being cancelled by Skoda.

I dont know if its all, but apparently some of them are not going to be built.

When I went to order my vRS I went in to order a black one to take advantage of the 0% finance deal. Unfortunately I was told that the dealer (Norman Fairweather in Dundee) would be unable to supply a new vRS, unless it has the Limited Edition as all the body shells had been used and no more were being made in the Czech Republic as the factory had changed over to the mk2 Fabia. The only option I had other than the Limited Edition was a pre built one (hence I couldn't spec options) already in the uk and that they wouldn't be able to get it and I would have to travel to the location of the car. If this is the case I would be worried If I had ordered a vRS and it hasn't been built yet.

I've not heared anything from my dealer, so I presume all is well and that my car will be built next week as planned. Wont be happy if it is cancelled though.

Too many stories, all different Skoda european countries have speced the Ltd edition differently, my understanding is 7000 have been made with 1000 coming to the UK, Skoda Uk have chosen the options hence the fitting of limited edition numbers on the seats, do you think the 1000 original interiors ( seat covers) will be on e-bay soon.

Well, as they probably come from Seat Surgeons in York, you could yourself an identical set for
