  2. Reckon if its still there its either worn splines or worn cv joint. Get someone to hold shaft and try turning wheel by hand if its still there it would I think rule out Gbox and inner cv. Alasdair
  3. That's an excellent project and thanks for providing so much valuable info, I didn't know the mirrors from mk4 could be installed on the mounting bracket of the mk3! I also love that the LEDs will be integrated in the mirror casing instead of mirror elements since they are incredibly expensive and can easily be stolen I also heard that the 2Q0 radars are better than the 5Q0 ones because their range is bigger. I have just finished installing BSD/RTA myself this week on my Skoda Octavia mk3 1.4 TSI 2017 using the 5Q0 radars and original mirror elements with BSD LEDs and dimming and I am happy how the system works: I will follow your topic @Cairus to see how your work evolves! Good luck!
  4. Or maybe not 🤔
  5. Dont Work anymore What i know Can check with my 3 devices
  6. Thanks, makes sense! Do you know what dataset I need for my unit? I tried to search here https://mibsolution.one/#/1/9/Datasets/MQB/5F by my unit number 5Q0035874C and couldn't find anyting.
  7. Maybe, but still true nonetheless: all demos are always done in as near-perfect conditions as possible, never reflecting real-life situations and therefore spreading misinformation and false hopes.
  8. If you're going away from OEM sizes you probably need to clear it with your insurers.

  10. Hello. I'm having a problem with my 2021 Scala 1.5 petrol. There's a display issue and an SOS message appears. I've read that a system update might be necessary. I'm currently running firmware version 1800. Has anyone done the update themselves? Is there any instructions available?
  11. I use https://tiresize.com/comparison/ if you go for 205/45 at 60mph its actually 62mph and 205/50 its actually 64mph according to their site. As previously said as long as all tyres are the same size ABS etc wont be affected. Had 225/40/18 on a people carrier but the weight rating was too low so went for 225/45/18 and didnt really notice. On it the larger size just cleared the bottom of front strut. Make sure you have enough room. Alasdair
  12. Jeszcze raz witam serdecznie.

  14. From reading that reply…. I think you completely missed the point I was making, through use of sarcasm.
  15. Good morning and welcome to Briskoda. Please use an online translation tool prior to posting in order use the required language of English. Thanks! And again welcome onboard!

  18. The mounting base is screwed to the door. You have to detach the mirror from the base plate.

  20. Thanks! Nice catch! Sorry, what is the Ground Blade?
  21. Octavia 4 But you need the Ground plade from Octavia 3
  22. I own Skoda Octavia mk3 1.4 TSI August 2017 with MIB 2.5 (5Q0 035 874 C) and I was experimenting with Car Scanner and decided to improve the sound using it. After experimenting, I decided not to change anything and selected the original value and saved it… But I overlooked the fact that I should have reverted the changes using the special button. In that case, the original coding would have been preserved instead of whatever coding Car Scanner generated for me. But ultimately, it was my fault. So, I currently have incorrect coding, and there is one and only one error stored in the 5F module and it's an eyesore: Address 5F: Information Electr. 23. And I suspect the vehicles "involved" in the simulated RTA were pretty much normal, complete cars, and also handily spaced apart to give the FF's plenty of space to work in. Whereas in a real RTA, the cars are more likely to embed into each other, be badly twisted out of shape, etc. They may even be in a ditch or somewhere cars aren't normally found.
  24. I didn't get what mirrors you had installed. Do you have reference number or what car they were from?
  25. Extra radiators will likely be for oil or aftercooler.
  26. If you want more sidewall height, changing to smaller diameter rims such as 14" or 15" would be a better choice than oversize 17" such as 205/45R17. 14" rims clear the 256x22mm front brake discs, whereas 15" rims clear the 288x25mm front brake discs. 288x25mm front brake discs are the biggest fitted to the Fabia MK2 as standard, so 15" rims can be fitted to all models...but for 14" rims you need to make sure that the front brake discs aren't bigger than 256x22mm, otherwise the 14" rims won't clear the front brake calipers. You might find that the Fabia MK2 has the 288x25mm front brake discs only with engines that have at least 105HP, but check the car's build codes to be sure in case there are exceptions. Outside diameter of tyre 185/65R14 596.1mm (non-standard tyre size on Fabia MK2, but fitted to some Roomsters) 195/55R15 595.5mm 205/45R16 590.9mm 205/40R17 595.8mm
