For now, yes, stick with Win 10. I don't think the issue is as bad with the CPU you have, but best to play it safe till it is resolved. As usual with windows, it alternates good-bad-good-bad with its releases, Win 7 was good, Win 8 was bad, win 10 good, so win 11....well, you can see the pattern

Considering this laptop cost me nearly £1,300 in January, I'd like to f****** hope so!
  5. Photo does this absolutely no justice since I couldn't get in the frame plus I'm using my decrepit phone... The building in question is the Old Irvine Parish Church, just outside of the Rivergate Shopping Centre, Irvine. A lot of work has been put into this building over the years and it is truly stunning!
  6. Hi, It seems that I have to replace dumpers in my 2015 3T Superb II Estate (CFGB, 4x4). The thing is that considering that it is a 4x4 estate with heavy duty suspension and also there are quite a couple of other parameters of the suspension @ etka, I have some trouble determining the proper part numbers for dumpers for my car. My codes are: 0YG (Weight range 7 installation control only, no requirement forecast), 1JB (Rear shock absorption, heavy-duty version), G56 (Shock absorption in front), PSW (rough road package). According to the above, it seems that front dumper should have the number of: 3C0 413 031 BB There are different manufacturers here: Sachs, KYB, TRW, Bilstein. Either one of them should be good, right? In relation to the rear dumpers, it is more complicated: In etka they provide two numbers: 3C0 513 049 BN for the codes of 0YB,0YC,0YD,0YE,0YF and 3C0 513 049 BP for the codes of 0YK,0YH,0YJ. The problem is that my code is 0yG, so it isn't listed by any of those - which number is correct for my car then? Moreover, both part numbers (either BN or BP) have very few hits in the online shops, just as they were not really common or discontinued or so. I only was able to find something exotic like dampers from trw, optimal, gabriel. Last thing: assuming tha the springs are not broken, what should be reasonably changed along with the dampers themselves?

Plenty of websites do it for cheap and if it's the original radio the dealer should be able to. In my country it's free given the license plate. Idk about your country though.

    And so it begins.........
  9. Definitely replace the rear foam bump stops, they may already have decomposed, if so then check to make sure that someone has not removed the damper rod cover to stop it rattling, if they are absent then add them to the list, otherwise they are fine to reuse with the new bump stops.
  10. Will do. Appreciate the help! Thank you!
  11. That’s same relay I’ve seen used in other Fabia 2 and Polo but please see PM - no probs if turns out to be different.
  12. Teenager of any age (I've only just become a responsable adult) garage where vehicle serviced etc?
  13. Exactly. It might not be my daily, but it'll be driven at least weekly. The gloss white powder coat finish looks absolutely great too!

TRW JGT1054T looks like a better option as it is being sold as a replacement for just 1JA and 1JB type suspensions. However, I suspect the TRW JGT1054T is simply a 1JA type shock absorber so you may be better off looking for quality rear shock absorbers that are sold to replace 3C0513049CP rather than the TRW rear shock absorbers. Notice from the above chart that TRW also do a TRW JGT589T that according to the specification on autodoc is of similar compressed and uncompressed length to the TRW JGT1054T model. I would guess that the TRW JGT1054T has stiffer damping to the TRW JGT589T model. 15. It looks exactly like someone has started flatting out a scratch or scuff in the clear coat & then given up before going through all the wet n dry grades, compound, polish etc, had you recently bought the car I would say that someone had gone over it with highlight polish & it has now washed off but not in the case of 3 years. You say that you rarely clean it, was it cleaned in any different way last time, a hot jet wash perhaps?
  16. Thanks for your response. Yes I have had it from new and there has been no accident or any other repair. The mark has been there for a few weeks now, I don't clean it very often and have never polished or waxed it. No-one else could have tried to repair it. I don't work and my senior management doesn't touch the car.
  17. Digifish produced this great video.
  18. Yeah I would think it'll be hardy noticeable. But if you're intending to actually drive the car it makes more sense.
  19. Thanks, DM! I'll be sure to keep that in mind.
  20. I agree that for a child, the rear windows are a little high when smaller, but I generally believe that this is due to the changes in car designs for side impact protection. Personally, I would not be adding a cushion to a child's seat so they can see out of the window, as this would compromise the safety of the seat from how it was intended to be used. The cushion would also move them up into a position out of the seats protection zone in a side impact collision. Keep your littles one safe and use as intended without modification.
  21. Is there any truth in the rumour that all orders for Brilliant Silver will be shipped in Bubble-gum Pink 🤣 🤣
  22. The white ones from the WRC. Although they won't be OEM candy white, they'll be much more durable.
  23. From the top, there's a circular pin in the middle, push this down with a suitable tool, then pull the whole clip up.
  24. Those fit 100 percent fine. Same pedals I have in my monte as standard. The throttle pedal cover just goes over the standard one, but the brake and clutch pedal ones need to be removed before you put the new ones on. I've swapped my montes brake and clutch pedal ones for the normal ones, the sports pedals look lovely but I prefer the normal ones. I kept the throttle pedal though because it means I dont have to "kick" the pedal so far when i'm going down a gear. The cover has the effect of "lifting" the pedal closer to the height of the other pedals I found.
  25. Cleaned the wheels of my Fabia vRS. Hadn't been done for possibly two months I'm ashamed to admit. Hoping to give it a proper wash this weekend depending on the weather.
  26. Reporting back after spending some money 😚 with roofbox.co.uk who were v helpful Atera SIGNO RTD 122cm black aero-profile aluminium bars kamei husky 330 in gloss black (KM447) INNO Tyre Hold 2 INA389 can fit the box and the tyre hold carrier on the top no problems, then also had a 3 bike tow bar carrier if getting fully loaded up or a choice of either. had a bit of trauma with deliveries which came via DX couriers. Roof box turned up busted, forklift had speared the cardboard packaging and box - Kamei dont appear to do more than a big cardboard box, then a pretty thin foam sheet, then on the box a clear tape is on the gloss black lid - a bit flimsy really. So check over your deliveries very carefully. Also the roof bike carrier, whilst seemingly packed well, the rear fascia of the carrier had suffered another impact / drop. roofbox.co.uk were v helpful swapping out the box and offering a swap or a decent discount for the bike carrier. recommended. onwards to half term duties and more expected miles with the winter tyres now on...
  27. Not if you’re not on Facebook you can’t. Can you please share it here?
  28. I'll give you that one, but my point of not trusting everything you read stands, I feel. 😊
  29. So the best answer you could have given to my request for supporting evidence is: "No, I cannot, I was just parroting stuff I'd read". That would've been fine.
  30. what depth of tread have you got left, and what sort of tyres are they ? I still have 5mm of tread left after 11k
  31. I've had another look at mine. Still no beeping. With trailer/bike carrier plugged in rear sensors are deactivated. Selecting reverse shows a brief schematic of a trailer attached to the tow bar on the infotainment screen. Messages are displayed on the 'virtual cockpit' if there is a fault with any of the trailer bulbs. Indicators show an extra green flashing icon if the trailer indicator bulb is lighting up; no extra flashing icon if the bulb doesn't light up. Still no beeping. I guess it's complying with the regs in a different and quieter way.
  32. great news some are starting to come through - enjoy @Theo5 not having the order accepted yet i'd be tearing my hair out and asking the dealer why. Hope it get sorted soon
  33. Stacks up with what I have been told. My car is part built, but they are "getting through the backlog and releasing cars".
  34. Looks like there is really some movement going on thats great news for those allready waiting few months!
  35. Had a call from my dealer just now... apparently my new Kodiaq is sat in Germany, awaiting a boat over here. So hopefully I should have it in a few weeks 😁.
  36. My order from June hasn't been accepted by the factory yet (last checked a few weeks ago before the system went down). I'm guessing it's because you got it directly from a dealer, and mine is via a broker (goes through a dealer as a fleet order) . They seem to be prioritising direct orders. Just checked the status with Skoda chat today, the response was "We are still experiencing technical issues with the update platform and are unable to check the statuses of vehicle orders. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you, however, I assure you that we are working hard to resolve this, on time. I will suggest you come back to us next week and hopefully the systems will be up and running again to allow us check the status of your order."

Do you have a Stop/Start battery system? Is it the original battery? If you have a Stop/Start battery then having no SOC figure is normal. This is because the battery is not charged fully by design and is also allowed the fall to less than 50% before the 'Smart Charging' system kicks in. If the car showed the SOC most people would think that their battery was no good. 12.3 volts at rest and 13.3 volts ( if ) when it is charging is low for a Stop/ Start battery system? Thanks, AG Falco
  38. Year of registration 2013 Skoda Octavia Elegance Engine 1.6 tdi Mileage when fault occurred 108000 miles (38000 / 2yrs 3m since last pump/belt change) Diagnosed as pump failure of new version! (Full Skoda service history/independent?) Cam Belt & Water Pump changed at 70000 miles pre purchase as an approved car from this dealership. Full service history from same dealer throughout life. Have old parts in hand to have checked. Started route of The Motor Osbundsman, as this is a complete and utter joke
  39. Driving in B roads. This feels like quite an upgrade vs MK3.5. The cornering, the placement in the road and especially the electronically controlled diff that enables you to go out of the corner faster and lowers understeer by quite some margin... Cool
  40. If it’s never had the plenum chamber fix, it’s a 100% fact; it will leak and given the issues you now have, it already has at some point and it sounds like the convenience unit is already damaged. You also need to remove the two rubber drain bungs in the chamber too. Your method of trying to stop debris blocking it will not work, because it’s the smaller debris which initially blocks them. Your mesh installation will will make the problem worse. I spent over £1,200 pounds having the convenience unit and complete wiring loom replaced about 10 years ago, including the section to the parking sensors, which they also fully resealed. I checked the loom and unit today and it’s still as new.

  43. Speedboat, fishing boat and a yacht.
  44. I didn't replace my strut mount bolts, I reused them, that was six years ago and they're still all intact, likewise the pinch bolts. You don't have to replace every fastener if they're not stretch bolts.
  45. another improve will be installation of accelerator pedal in right way
  46. ŠKODA’s only appearance at the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race came 70 years ago in the extremely rare ŠKODA SPORT and one of the only two prototypes ever built will make a return to the same event in 2021. On 24 June 1950, a Saturday, the ŠKODA factory team finally made it: The enhanced version of the 1101 Sport was positioned diagonally in front of the pit wall of the 13.65km ‘Circuit des 24 Heures’, ready for the Le Mans start at 16.00 hrs, which was still common at that time – the drivers lined up on the opposite side of the track ready to sprint to their racing cars at the signal, jump in, start the engine and speed off. https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/skoda-world/heritage/skoda-sport-fast-at-le-mans/ https://classiccarcuration.co.uk/rare-skoda-sport-makes-welcome-return-to-le-mans-in-2021/
  47. Following on from this great forum, after buying my 2016 TDI sportline estate and found the ride to be dreadful, I recently replaced my own shocks with Koni Special Active dampers bought from here; Performance Car Parts - K&N, Bilstein, BC Racing, Eibach Exhausts and Suspension and more (dcperformance.co.uk) again as documented on this forum. The difference is amazing and DC Performance service was great. Made my Superb much more pleasant to drive Angelo
  48. I own RS version, almost max spec, and despite few minor software bugs (like spotify resume bug on apple carplay, occasional slow touch after ignition) and very silent exhaust - it is amazing car. Love it, and upgrading after MK2.5 RS, it is like I space traveled into the future. 10/10
