  1. Thank you @JR RS I also did the SLA retrofit according to your post. That was in 2023. The matrix retrofit resulted from a broken SLA headlight in 2024 and i like the facelift look 😃
  2. A few from this evening............
  3. Have to go now as Mrs Montecarlo is beckoning with a bottle of wine, but I will check in again tomorrow. Thanks for your help so far!
  4. It's the cobbles that make it hard to enter onto the screen!
  5. I'm getting exactly the same issue - app says "Sent to car" but nothing ever arrives. Don't know when it stopped working, but certainly it hasn't worked for the last couple of weeks. Used to use it fairly regularly, wife found it easier to find destination on phone rather than getting finger-jolts entering it onto the screen. I updated the app last night to 8.2.0, still the same. Can lock the car, flash etc so the app is communicating to the car. I've opened an issue with Skoda support. For info, I've a 2023 Kodiak 2.0 SEL and am based in the North West (near Stockport).
  6. ? You are a freeman - free to go (or stay) where you please, or are you fed up with the Up Owners site, or they with you, movers remorse perhaps.
  7. Just resting maybe. & someone put the boot in.
  8. This is a full kit containing everything needed to upgrade from rear only to front and rear parking sensors on a MK2 Superb. It includes the button to activate, 4 new sensors, sensor brackets, the speaker, upgraded module and all wiring. Once installed it's exactly the same as if fitted from the factory. I.e the parking display on the stereo will show the front and back sensors etc. I think this can also be used on Octavia, Yeti and other PQ35/PQ46 cars, but you'd need to swap to the correct button. I bought this but never got around to fitting on my previous Superb. I have the fitting instructions. Part no on the 8K parking module is: 56D 919 475A They are around €600 from Kufatec. https://kufatec.com/en/complete-kit-park-pilot-front-incl.-ops-for-skoda-superb-3t/41362 £75 posted.
  9. Skoda Superb Estate boot divider. Fits into the sliding rails and is extendable in length. It has some white paint on it, so a bit untidy. However, it functions perfectly well. Collection from EN5 3EA or I can deliver locally. Cash on collection or PayPal (buyer pays fees).
  10. Hi, Just joined up after viewing your site for ages before buying a new 74 plate Karoq Sportline petrol manual. Yes - I've experienced the low speed stalling!!, and been stranded trying to turn right at a busy crossroads - scary Currently running on Shell V-power - seems to run smoother and not so many cut outs Changed 19" wheels for 17" Ratikons shod with Continental All Season 2's - much better ride over the terrible roads in Southampton Oh and found the pedals too high so created a false floor - I'm a lot happier now. Cheers for now
  11. Not many Citigo posts, especially since the barely-usable redesign.... The VW Up! owners forum is massively bigger and better, and welcomes Citigo & Mii owners... Just sayin', before I abandon visiting here....
  12. I have the same. This feels like a violation, because I do not remember agreeing to this kind of use of my data. Basically, getting the gdpr request from them now and then will involve our countries ombudsman. This is not fine. If anyone wants to see what data they have collected on you, you can use their automated tool: https://privacyportal-de.onetrust.com/webform/4f52de0a-110f-4524-8986-02d49fa567c3/b52d4bbc-8309-429d-bcbb-fe8618251619
  13. ETA: It is not against the law to use the handbrake even if the car has hill assist, hold. If you brake gently that can confuse the computer systems, the start-stop won't like it if that's active though. Yes cars are very complicated, trying to make out they're anywhere near self-driving and taking as much away from the driver as possible (for good and ill). But then the German marques have always liked to over complicate things and the electronics and computers systems go back many decades (possibly why they're so glitchy, legacy, plus the cheap chips, imagine the 'fun' of a 2023/4/5 car).😁
  14. It’s the manual 5 speed, only other picture i had but can take more tomorrow
  15. Thanks! You have proper roads that far north? I suspect it is a glitch in updates and or the problems around the current cyberwarefare. There is a lot going on but not all in the news. I like to look at routes on a decent size 24" computer screen at my desk and then put the into the phone and then transfer to the car when we go. Much easier than sitting in the car faffing about with constant "why aren't we moving?" in my ear Mine is a 2024 Karoq 1.5 TSI SE L in the midlands.
  16. I have been dealing with Škoda Customer Support since January trying to get some help. They regularly contact my retailer who tells them that no update to fix the issue is available at the moment. I have emailed the CEO of Skoda Uk and I am now dealing with their executive support team who seem to be taking the issue more seriously. I have told them I just want a car that works! It still seems to be the retailer who has to sort the problem out but I think the blame lies with the manufacturer, Škoda, who are making and selling cars that don’t work properly! I’m expecting a result next week. Will keep posting!
  17. Many thanks for the advice, the accelerator moves smoothly so I don't think it's dirty and the mileage is very low so I don't think it will be wear and tear related. I have an iCarsoft code reader which is quite good so I will have a look through the settings for any kind of calibration. I'm fairly sure it's not been remapped as the previous owner was a middle aged lady who bought it from a main dealer, but I guess I shouldn't categorize her. What is IIRC?
  18. DQ381 for all TDI and 2.0 TSI models in Superb 4. Haldex for 4x4 models. The more often you change oil the better. Many people change the oil in DSG around 45-60k km. In Haldex even more often, especially on used cars. If you plan to sell the car after 3-4 years or 120k km then factory intervals should be in most cases enough, depends on the warranty period. I would advise changing engine and gearbox oil more often if you plan to drive it longterm without serious issues. The moment something breakes down with the engine/transmission out of warranty, be prepared for high maintenance costs if done by decent service workshop.
  19. +1 Bilstein B6 + Eibach Pro is one perfect combination! to avoid lowering choose Eibach Pro kit from Kodiaq -> https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/510961-2023-280ps-lk-replaced-2016-220ps-style/page/3/#findComment-5854160
  20. Same vote here for the B6, in my mind B8s are only for dropping much further than stock sport suspension. I have used B6 on Mk1 Superb V6 TDI (redone sport springs front, raised HD springs rear) and on Mk3 Octavia vRS TDI (stock sport front, raised HD springs rear), work very well without issues, in case of Mk1 Superb and over 200k miles, and in cases of both Mk1 Superb and my wife's Roomster for over 12 years and still counting on the Roomster :) Regarding springs, in my experience usually the rears sag more than fronts on liftback cars, so if you want to replace, it would be the rear ones. Personally, I prefer handling of the car with HD / slightly raised springs at the rear (ca 30mm over stock "sport" height), especially when the car is full of luggage and/or at high speeds (as in autobahn, 120mph+). This has certainly been true for Mk1 Octavia, Mk1 Superb, and my current Mk3 Octavia vRS, so my guess is Mk3 Superb won't be much different in this respect. So if you decide to replace the rear springs, it may make sense to get ones 1 or 2 groups up from stock, but it is your decision.
  21. Yes Warrior I think that is my concern 🤔🙁. Thanks for the clarification about the resetting of those things not being of any real relevance.
  22. Hi nta16, Thanks for the reply much appreciated. I will ask in forum n link provided by you. Thanking you. Kind regards, Mirza
  23. These hit every branch of the ugly tree IMO.
  24. I don't see what the site software has to do with anything - it's no less navigable than it was before. Same topics are in the same forums and sub-forums. Not many CitiGo posts maybe because as mentioned it's been taken out of production. Last one rolled off the line five years ago.
  25. Idk, I'm used to hard reboot module if it looses connection. Just make sure ignition is off. If manipulating settings helps without rebooting hardware, then that's even better.
  26. Are there any new problems or upgrades or questions to be asked about the discontinued Citiigo that can not be found if anyone does a search or goes back through the pages and looks? Goes to the Citogo Guide or Projects even? Maybe if in the other sections people looked before expecting others to answer about the same old same old there would be less replicated threads and more tumbleweed blowing through.
  27. Are you sure there is no Pedal Box fitted? Are you sure not remapped if you have not had it from new?
  28. Hello again, Today I bought a timing light, this one; https://www.kroftools.com/en/regulation-and-test/digital-display-timing-light_p1781.html Should be more than enough. I'm gonna try to set the timing today or tomorrow and will keep you updated. Sorry for not responding but I didn't have any time to work on the car as I was harvesting honey with my brother. Cheers! Is the procedure the same with the timing light?
  29. If the dealer is not being particularly cooperative, I’d be inclined to walk away.
  30. If it makes you feel any better, my car comes equipped with the remote park assist and I've only used it once. It constantly fails and backs out of the maneuvers. Fine for a party trick but it's not that useful.
  31. you can also get your maps and speedcams here : https://mib-helper.com/
  32. Check that your car has connection, a little globe icon should be white. If it does not (icon is grey), switch off ignition and pull fuse 19 for a minute.
  33. I came in looking for this error. The same thing is happening to me (in my case, my car is a 2024 Kamiq). I guess it's a bug on Skoda's website, maybe they are updating the version of the maps available on the website?
  34. 1 point
Transport mode. That is for new vehicle delivery. Taken out of Transport mode at the PDI.
  35. If you collect your points every day you get an extra 10 points once a week so they build up quite fast.
  36. Yes, it might. I think your car should have the later, duplex chain, which is less likely to itself be a problem. I can't remember right now when the later chain design started to be fitted in mk2 Fabia, but I could check for you tomorrow with VIN number. If the car has had regular oil changes with suitable oil and filters, I doubt the oil pump would have problems. Don't know anything about the high pressure fuel pump, yet.
  37. The other possibility is that after the service you can use the chat function on the Skoda website to check it's been updated. I've certainly used it in the past for info about our Kodiaq.
  38. Hello, welcome to the forum. Your new independent garage should be able to supply you with a print out - or are you worried that, despite their claim, they aren't actually able to update the DSR ? Unfortunately, simply resetting the service counter does not necessarily prove that the service was actually completed.
  39. This evening I'll edit this post into a big version, but a spoiler is that it was addressing the oil leak, quite a significant one, mentioned on the last few MOTs as an advisory "oil leak front of engine". I'd already guessed at the culprit, and even headed down to the car on my first visit armed with the necessary gasket, since the replacement involved alternator removal amongst other things, and I thought it would be nice to 'kill two birds with one stone', while I was fitting a good alternator to get the car mobile anyway. I posted a video of the seal replacement in a related thread after doing a search for 1.2TSi oil leak on here, and coming across this thread: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/438119-2011-12tsi-dsg-oil-leak-head-gasket-gone/page/2/#findComment-5931213 Typically in that vid, the lambda sensor removal is made to look much easier than ever happens in real life, in my experience. It does have to come out in order to get the heatshield off, annoyingly, which then gives access to the right-most screw that holds the filter/cooler/alternator bracket casting on. Wildly underestimated the work involved, and didn't even contemplate it on that occasion. Spoiler: this figure of 8, plus another loop, rubber gasket seals the casting that holds oil filter and cooler onto the front of the block. It had stopped sealing it. The rubber was hard as a rock, squished flat with no compliance left at all. Can't blame it at 13 years old and 159k miles driven. Not the best design, possibly. There were also a few tiny bits of casting flash around the edges of that face where the seal sat, maybe holding it off the block a smidge more than planned. Tidied up before new gasket was fitted.
  40. Next was a couple of electrical fixes. Partner had told me that high level brake light was inop, following me back from collecting the car. I'd noticed that the passenger side wing mirror was pointing down and inwards at an unhelpful angle, and the adjustment didn't work. Boot wiring problem was unsurprising. Previous repair evidence on a few wires, and one newly broken wire responsible for brake light non-function. Easy fix. Mirror fault was imagined to be similar, and sure enough, after minor battle to release the bellows from (right) A-pillar 28-way connector, a couple of broken wires greeted me. Don't seem to have pics, except this one, taken just after loom removal and before bench repairs, to remind me the shape/profile of the loom as it comes into the innards of the door. Repaired wires restored function of the mirror, and I did a couple of other wires that had cracked insulation but no sign of strand breakage yet, splicing lengths of super-flexible silicone insulated wire pre-emptively. Was glad to discover that the loom removal and refitting process wasn't too bad to do. Had cause to inspect the other (passenger) side at the weekend and there were two wires with cracked insulation but none broken. May get round to future-proofing them at some point when everything else is done!
  41. Issue apparently solved was a split line to the fuel filter now been replaced seems to have sorted it
  42. It's indeed too late to stop it completely. Man-made CO2 is excessive and will create climate change was definitively known back in 1970's. It is unfortunately capitalist greed that caused intensive lobbying to create the "climate debate" as though scientific discoveries can be debated by general public. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_change_denial But it's never too late to minimise damage. Every little helps :)
  43. I do mine every 18 months regardless of mileage due to where i live ( channel Islands) i only take the car away once maybe twice a year and driving on an island is pretty much like city driving it's through the gears all the time. This is how the haldex filter looked on last change approx 7000 miles away
  44. Don’t forget to include price

If you are putting the gearbox in Sport on the lever then only the DSG change points will get adjusted. Using the Mode Select button in sport mode will change the DSG change points, throttle response and steering weight.
  46. Hi this is my newly acquired superb, its been a bit of a project needing a few bits done but it feels good to drive despite age.
  47. My car has lost its internet connection twice in a year. The last time I solved it through a complicated trial-and-error process of deleting and re-establishing my account and setup, off which I have deliberately suppressed any memory. This time I decided to try the fuse removal trick. I took out number 19 only, left the car for five minutes, and then put the fuse back in. Internet connection was magically restored, and so was my apps ability to get in contact with my car. As others have reported, I lost my driving data for the last two weeks - you gain some and you lose some..... Now I'm just wondering: would there be a market for a third party ALT+CTRL+DEL button to be mounted somewhere on the dashboard? 😉

The 90mm ones are too long for the standard front suspension, and if you used them you would loose 20mm of front suspension travel. This should have been changed when the lowered front suspension was fitted.
