What is the 'A' button for on the centre console? I had not noticed it until today (I just drive my Kamiq, there are yet more bells and whistles to be discovered!)

I was looking through the infotainment to find what updates had been done. Getting bored and noticing that passing cars were getting close to the offside mirror I fiddled with the control for the mirrors and found I could fold them in, end of story 😀

Check your engine mounts are good, the rubber can become unbonded and look ok but can cause selector problems.

Too hard a tyre and you will find handling changes, I usually use the ECO settings unless I was towing andthat quite often did not need altering as long as the Noseweight was right.

I have just noticed that my Kamiq has had a software update. Any ideas what it might have been? I saw the oil service notification and havebooked it in but the software update is a mystery .....

On a long drive I find that quite often I nudge it into S, I'm not complaining, I love it!

I mislayed one of the black anodised star drive screws and it was longer than the rest, take care they were ( I found) difficult to come by. I always push screws into a cardboard drawing to keep them safe and in the right order, so what happened to that one I know not!

Don't carry your wallet in your back pocket, this simple act has solved more numb bum problems than altering the seat. Too much seat back rake or even too upright a seat back, is another fault but the one that plagues me most is the front edge of the seats cut into the backs of my knees.

I hit a flooded corner on a country lane at around 30mph and the front wheels became rudders luckily the undertray aquaplaned the car enough to help me across the water until the front wheels gripped. I will always fit a tray.

Why do Pigeons ..... land on my Kamiqs roof rails and almost immediately turn around and defacate on my car windows? Is this a considered opinion or just a random occurance? They do the same on the bird baths in my garden as well, always turning around and pooping in the drinking water.

Thank you very much, it was a very necessary clean out, there were nuts and leaves and even more detritous in the drainage channels a job well worth doing plus it is easier to clean the wiper blades. The washer bottle cap is a blue rubber thing, with a loose filter which has no means of attachment neither were attached properly to the bottle!

I cannot remember how to park the wipers (Kamiq) so they don't foul the edge of the bonnet (Snow position?) The scuttle area is full of fat, peanut bits and seeds from nearby bird feeders.

Thank you, I found Manual change today and I know I have normal and sports ratios but I don't seem to be blessed with eco or hill descent. Shame really but I do have a lot of fun with the Kamiq.

I assume that driven carefully in DSG, 'S' mode the higher ratios would make the car more economic?
