Skoda Felicia hood scoop?
You can say that again. Let's not forget that it takes a while to recover the cost of LPG installation.

Engine System 136B
VAG-COM showed clearly what the problem is. The coolant temperature is an important factor in setting the air/fuel mixture ratio. In your case the mixture is too rich.

Let me ask you this: the decision of buying a new fuel sender is coming after a proper diagnose of it? Details?- SKODA FUN FUEL SENDER UNIT
It depends on the fuel pump nozzle model. Modern ones can be more temperamental. It might help rotating the nozzle in the fuel filler. Also you can ask the pump helper to show you the proper technique for that specific nozzle. Not sure who is "they" but aftermarket parts are still manufactured. The part code is 6U0919671B. https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/bugiad-8117097.html- Felicia 3D Tuning

Enjoy tuning a Skoda Felicia in 3D. http://www.3dtuning.com/en-US/tuning/skoda/felicia/5.door.hatchback.1994 Post your creations here.- Skoda Felicia hood scoop?
True. The air flow is a science. Cool design, zero efficiency. In fact it will do exactly what current grill does. Bring air to the blower for the cockpit. Nothing to do with the air filter.- Leaking Fuel Pump Problem
I don't agree with this conclusion as a GENERAL rule. Since you found the mechanical pump to be faulty, open it. You'll find the problem in the photo below. You'll understand what is wrong. It is OK having low pressure otherwise high pressure would overcome the float needle valve and flood the engine. It has another advantage too. If the pump starts once the ignition key switch is set to on, the float chamber will be primed (filled with fuel) before cranking the engine. Usually the fuel evaporates from the float chamber if the car was not used for a while, especially on hot days. That leads to long cranking times from fuel starvation.- Skoda Forman 135L: Black Smoke, Rough Idle and Fuel in Oil
RicardoM replied to NichiBlembom's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanYou're welcome. The moral of this topic is this: The vacuum seal on Felicia/Favorit cars with carburetor is crucial. It makes the difference between loving your car to death and wanting to ditch it and set it on fire... Continue with replacing the fuel hoses and basic tuning as mentioned. If in doubt on anything about the engine, post a topic in here. Have a look also in https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/178-classic-skoda-guides/ for gathering more knowledge.- Skoda Forman 135L: Black Smoke, Rough Idle and Fuel in Oil
RicardoM replied to NichiBlembom's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThe liquid gasket is the secret weapon for sealing. Apply it and let it cure as indicated on the tube. I have used Victor Reinz sealant called REINZOSIL with great success. It is fuel resistant, temperature resistant.- Felicia 1.3 mpi oil leak
There is a pinned topic in this section of the forum called Online catalog with PART NUMBERS and ILLUSTRATIONS- Skoda Forman 135L: Black Smoke, Rough Idle and Fuel in Oil
RicardoM replied to NichiBlembom's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanWell, I've seen all sort of seals. Some cheaper ones from VIKA are a disaster both in terms of flatness and rubber resistance to fuel. You can't do anything to straighten them. Hopefully the rubber ridges of the seal will compensate any defect. Sure, I was reluctant at first too then I saw it is very easy. There are videos that explain it. But you might get lucky and get away just by changing the seal, the accelerator pump diaphragm and the enrichment valve diaphragm. The latter could flood the engine if it is faulty. By the age of the car I'd say there are high chances to be crispy.- Skoda Forman 135L: Black Smoke, Rough Idle and Fuel in Oil
RicardoM replied to NichiBlembom's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanOf course. The fuel level in the float chamber will be disturbed causing a fuel flood. The carburetor on Favorit is highly dependent on the vacuum. The seal below the carburetor is crucial. Any minor vacuum leak will make you very unhappy with the car. Tips You ordered the seal you say. There are two seals on the market. One made of steel encased in rubber and the other looking like a sandwich of one steel plate and two plastic spacers with cardboard gaskets in between. Depending on your luck, the seals might be flat. The base of the carburetor might be flat. The top of the intake manifold might be flat. Don't assume they are perfectly flat. Check. Don't overtorque the four screws that hold the seal and the three screws that hold the carburetor on top of the seal. 8Nm is the correct torque. You can check for vacuum leaks in two ways: having air filter off, listen on top of the carburetor. A constant hiss of air is OK. Any gurgling or snoring-like noise is bad. Another option is to use butane gas around the seal and listen for idle increase. Ideally you should strip and clean the carburetor. Some inner channels or jets might be dirty or clogged. I would also replace the accelerator pump diaphragm and the enrichment valve diaphragm located on the side of the carburetor.- Engine Coil Resister & Fuel Pump Resister (ohms) # Skoda Felicia II 1.3
The resistance measurement doesn't mean anything unless it is open circuit. Why do you keep asking about it? Did you read any reference material about those values? Also, what milliohmmeter are you using with such high precision? It is more important to measure fuel pressure on the injectors ramp and how well it holds pressure.- Engine Coil Resister & Fuel Pump Resister (ohms) # Skoda Felicia II 1.3
@Joob The ignition transformer is good. The issue you are describing (long cranking, stalling at idle) could happen from several reasons. low fuel pressure (clogged fuel filter, fuel pump is worn out). You need to measure the fuel pressure. faulty coolant temperature sensor dirty manifold pressure sensor- Engine Coil Resister & Fuel Pump Resister (ohms) # Skoda Felicia II 1.3
The image I posted is very clear. The output of the ignition transformer consists of 2 secondary coils. One between the outputs to spark plugs for cylinders 1 and 4, and the other between the outputs to spark plugs for cylinders 2 and 3. Each coil should have a resistance of 8.4 - 9.1 kOhms. The primary coils are not directly accessible to the ignition transformer connector but there is a window with a cover.Under it there are 3 prongs where you can measure the coils. The 2 coils should have 0.8 - 1 ohms each. It is not relevant. What is the issue with the fuel pump?- Engine Coil Resister & Fuel Pump Resister (ohms) # Skoda Felicia II 1.3

A Skoda Felicia Pickup stock in good condition (definitely no rust) is worth maximum 1800 pounds. Note: I am not interested in buying it. Something is telling me this topic is going nowhere. - SKODA FUN FUEL SENDER UNIT
