  1. Pretty sure that'll be MIB3
  2. langers2k replied to adb55's topic in Skoda Yeti
The quadlock connector changed from a 40 to 52 pin version, if that's your headunit, you'll have the 52 pin variant. It might be worth adding which Kenwood you're hoping to fit? There is a good chance your car supports Smartlink so you might also be able to get maps via CarPlay or Android Auto too.
  3. All depends where you're likely to be driving I'd probably choose ECE5 give it covers the UK and a good chunk of Europe. - If you need Spain and Portugal, choose ECE1 - If you need Denmark, Finland and Sweden, choose ECE6 If it's just the UK, then they will all be fine
  4. You could try following the instructions I wrote a while back: As per the warning, the latest full Europe maps no longer fit on a 16GB card regardless of how you format it. You'll need to remove files as per the post I've linked
  5. Or choose a smaller map pack with fewer countries...
  6. I would suggest you contact whoever did the ODIS work and tell them they missed something Otherwise, you could try contacting Ross-tech for help assuming your VCDS cable is genuine and you install the latest software...
  7. I wonder if your wife might have seen something about "Trained Parking" mentioned back in 2015 regarding the e-Golf... No idea if it made it to market though 😕
  8. Park assist is pretty well covered in the owners manual from page 141 onwards: https://ws.skoda-auto.com/OwnersManualService/Data/en/Superb_3V/05-2016/Manual/Superb/B8_Superb_OwnersManual.pdf I'm not too sure what you mean by that or expect to happen? Can you add some more detail?
  9. There are plenty of OE/OEM stuff on aliexpress so there is a good chance it's "genuine" although possibly grey market. I've had a few modules from various aliexpress sellers, including the RVC on my MK3 Octavia, without any issues Just remember that on a MK4, you'll need a SFD unlock code before you can code the camera in...
  10. I'd be very surprised if the wires were already fitted. Much like the tutorial you've seen, I'd expect you'd need to add the required wiring. The wiring you've described if for a highline kit with moving guidelines which would need wiring similar to this: https://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/cameras-parts/wiring-camera-cable-for-the-skoda/
  11. Even with the VAQ diff, my 245 can easily spin up it's tyres in cold, damp conditions Being aware of grip levels and applying less throttle will help, as will ensuring your tyres are decent quality and suited for the conditions. If you want to know more about have the VAQ compares to a LSD, this might help: https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/how-the-vw-golf-gti-performance-pack-pp-“front-differential-lock”-vaq-works.351185/ As to retrofitting a VAQ, from that link: Is it easy to retro-fit the FDL unit? No! You have to take apart your gearbox case to remove your existing open diff, remove the diff cage & fit the one with the “tube” which the FDL unit locks onto. Then you need to remove the seal on that side of the gearbox case & replace with the one to accept the FDL unit hollow shaft. Then fit the FDL unit & the respective shorter driveshaft on this side. Then you have to wire the unit (5 wires) to the car loom & carry out VCDS coding etc. Considering you are adding more weight & complexity to the car & yet still retain a basic "open" diff in the gearbox case, there is no point. You would be better off spending less time removing the existing "open" diff & fitting a proper LSD like a Quaife or Wavetrac.
  12. I'm pretty sure a 2016 car with xenons will use module 55 for the headlight range. Much like this examples: - https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/8375/ - https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/28100/ As a starting point, the LED matrix lights will need 55 removing and module 4B adding instead. You will also need to make wiring changes to get D6 and D7 showing, as per this autoscan: - https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/30074/ You may also need to change the BCM, CAN gateway or other modules... I would suggest you use erwin to get some factory wiring diagrams if you're serious about this retrofit

I'm pretty sure you'll have airbags in the A-pillars... Curtain airbags run along the sides of the vehicle and drop from the ceiling:
  14. Without seeing the scans, it's impossible to know as it'll depends how your car is configured...
  15. That's very optimistic of you... Did you check the wiring diagram to see if any of the pins have changed function? There is a good chance the matrix lights use modules D6, D7 and 4B which may control the indicators etc. Depending which lights you previously had, you may need to change some other modules to get this working.
  16. Welcome Have you got any VCDS autoscans? Ideally one before you changed anything and one from the car in it's current state...
  17. If it's a Skoda dealer, then they should be able to use ODIS to recode the module automagically using the VAG online servers to generate the code. Replacing the module won't help unless it's actually faulty... It would still need coding as above too It might be possible to create a code for it but we would need a full unedited autoscan to get an idea of how the car is configured etc.
  18. At a guess, it'll be a standard or mini blade fuse... Couple of images that might help:
  19. If the car had no coolant/antifreeze then it would over heat very very quickly and destroy the engine.... If you want to check the level, then look at the coolant tank, circled in red below:
  20. It'll depend on the fault code. Most modules in the car won't automatically clear a fault code when it's been resolved. Instead, it will stay but flagged as either intermittent or inactive. For example, a dealer updated the software for my steering rack under warranty. After the update, I had faults in 6 different modules caused by the lack of comms with the steering rack during the update. All were shown as "Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear". If there's a fault code linked to this issue, I'd be very surprised if most scan tools didn't show it. Where are you in the world, might be worth asking a local VCDS owner to do a quick scan after it's occurred
  21. Maybe take a look at https://www.drive2.com/l/518653929546843243/ If you want some 'stock' value for an Octavia, try this: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/12531/ Good luck...
  22. Laura is the digital assistant available in the latest cars: https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/skoda-world/innovation-and-technology/okay-laura-lets-talk/
  23. As PetrolDave mentions, lowline (address 20) and highline (address 5F) camera's are completely different so it's not a simple replacement. Just to add some more context... Lowline (J844): Highline (R242): The highline version typically needs a replacement windscreen as the mount it very different: They have different connectors, the highline has a heater and may require a second CAN-bus connection depending on equipment Not a plug and play change I'm afraid...
  24. Indeed, the last letter can be revision but it's used to denote different parts too. I certainly wouldn't rely on 'bigger letter means the same but newer' as some folk suggest At least in this case, it's just an air filter so it's not a massively expensive mistake to make...
