WIFI-6 Ubiquiti vs Draytek
I'm using a U6-lite upstairs so I can have a poke to see if I can figure that out. TBH, I'd assumed AX was a 5ghz only thing much like AC but it seems you're correct and AX is 2.4ghz compatible. I think the only AX clients I have are Intel AX200 and AX201 as my pixel 5 isn't 😕 edit: I just killed the 5ghz radio to see what happened and it seems your correct, at least according to Windows: Protocol: Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) Security type: WPA2-Personal Network band: 2.4 GHz Network channel: 6 Link speed (Receive/Transmit): 144/144 (Mbps) Protocol: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) Security type: WPA2-Personal Network band: 5 GHz Network channel: 36 Link speed (Receive/Transmit): 961/245 (Mbps) Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Description: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz Driver version: 22.70.0.6

WIFI-6 Ubiquiti vs Draytek
Unifi AP's need a controller for the initial setup and firmware/config updates. You can either: - run it on one of their 'cloud key' controllers - run it on a spare computer, Raspberry Pi or VM - run it as and when required on your normal laptop/desktop - run it either in AWS or another online hosted provider I used to run the controller on a Raspberry Pi but it's now a VM on my ESXi machine instead. I always have the controller running but that's mainly as I have routers/switches/AP from Unifi plus have similar setups at family members houses to take care of. Ubiquiti can be a bit eager to push software and certainly can treat their customers as testers. If you stick to the main release channel it's normally fine or at least I've not experienced any 'breaking changes' in my environment due to an update. A better question might be do you actually need AX yet? Most devices don't support it and unless you need the bandwidth, AC is probably fine...

Light Assist Vs Dynamic Light Assist
DLA needs different headlights to control the beam shape A 2016 Superb probably uses bi-xenon headlights. Based on that: - standard headlights will use a normal shutter to enable the high beam - DLA headlights will use a roller shutter to give the various beam shapes If you do want DLA, you'd need new headlights and probably new controllers/datasets to get it working...

Issue with installing head unit and black main input
Looks like the wrong connector to me... A mk2 Octavia uses a 40 pin quadlock but the new headunit looks like a 52 pin quadlock. You'll probably need an adaptor or to contact the seller for advise.

VCDS options not showing
You don't have a controller at address 46... At a guess, you're trying to use instructions from an earlier MK2 and they don't apply to your car. You might find it's move to an adaption or the lcode in address 09. Unfortunately as I haven't got access to a similar car, I can't check for you 😕

Auto Close windows upon rain detection / time lapsed
Most control modules report their part number during an autoscan 👍

Reversing camera
I think that's an OEM highline camera rather than the Chinese variant. No basic settings is normal unless you calibrate it. It doesn't effect functionally. The addition installations detected suggested you've not coded it properly... What coding did you do exactly? Did you add 6C to the CAN gateway installation list?

Replacing indicator repeaters
I only use it to find the part numbers... Now you have the part number, you can use any shop you like Personally, I'd probably use eBay or ask Mike at https://www.coverdalecarparts.co.uk/ for a quote.

Replacing indicator repeaters
Pretty sure you need: - 5L0 949 101 (left) - 5L0 949 102 (right) on a MY11 Yeti without puddle lights... The parts with a suffix letter are either for a newer car or a car with puddle lights From: https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/yeti/yet/2011-666/9/943-943000/#10

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
Whenever a various gearbox components are replaced, it's necessary to perform basic settings with a diagnostic device. This lets the gearbox relearn various tolerances and clutch engagement points etc. I'm pretty sure this is what people are referring to when they mentioned a 'DSG reset'. If something is starting to wear, it might help but I doubt it'll make any major difference. It's just a guided function within ODIS, there is an example of someone running through it here:

Auto Close windows upon rain detection / time lapsed
RLFS supports rain closing, RLHS doesn't Otherwise, I've no idea what the difference is I'm afraid... Older cars got the RLFS and then at some point, VAG decided to swap to the RLHS, only they will know why.

Auto Close windows upon rain detection / time lapsed
An autoscan will show it or you can remove the trim to find the part number: Rain Light Recognition Sensor: Subsystem 2 - Part No SW: 5Q0 955 547 HW: 5Q0 955 547 Labels: 5Q0-955-547.CLB Component: RLFS 024 0042 Rain Light Recognition Sensor: Subsystem 2 - Part No SW: 5Q0 955 547 A HW: 5Q0 955 547 A Labels: 5Q0-955-547.CLB Component: RLHS 037 0059 Rain Light Recognition Sensor: Subsystem 2 - Part No SW: 5Q0 955 547 B HW: 5Q0 955 547 B Labels: 5Q0-955-547.CLB Component: RLHS 050 0107

Installing orginal usb in the backseats
Factory WD for a later Octavia with USB charging in the rear: So I'd expect that connector to slot into fuse 52 from behind as it looks empty on your picture. However, it might also need a power feed as I think both sides of the fuse holder are empty?

Site for equipment that a skoda was born with
Yup: https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showHome.do It's not free but with an hours access you should be able to get the workshop manuals etc too

Smartlink install broke reversing camera
Smartlink activation shouldn't require anything disconnecting. It's just a code that'll allow ODIS to apply the appropriate license or FeC to your headunit via OBD. There is a chance they will have reverted the headunit to it's original factory coding/adaptions which may disable a retrofitted RVC. Can you post an autoscan and adaption map for 5F?

Pedal Response improvement VCDS
There's a much longer thread here: https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/logging-direct-throttle-vcds-obdeleven-tweak.9392853/ It also shows the difference changing "driving profile switchover" does make - namely to how the driving profile changes as it's name suggests There is a youtube clip here too:

Correct brake fluid for MKIII superb
Why not just use VAG brake fluid? I think it's part number: B000750M3

How to remove the DSG trim?
Example WD from an Octavia... Colours seem to match up and show black as the shield: In the past, I'm sure shield would be connected to pin 4 of the aux socket. Much like this pic:

Have I broken the stereo?
The headunits can be programmed to either use the internal amp or an external one. Pretty sure this applies to all MIB1/2/2.5 Bolero/Amundsen/Columbus headunits... The external amp is normally marketed as Canton and gives you some extra speakers along with a sub in the boot. Any chance car scanner can show the fault codes and current long coding for 5F?
-
Have I broken the stereo?
Sounds like car scanner did manage to change something... Might be worth trying to find a VCDS or ODBeleven user to take a look? At a guess, you have an amp aka Canton? If so, it's not compatible with the surround/virtual sub coding so you should undo the change and restart the headunit by holding the power button for 10-15s
-
How to remove the DSG trim?
At a guess, it'll be the unused pin on the black connector... There won't be any solder as VAG don't solder connectors on. Instead, the wire has probably pulled out of it's crimp and the crimp is still in the black connector

Help with cd player please
I don't believe your car supports any USB CD drive I'm afraid 😞

Pedal Response improvement VCDS
At least based on some of the posts in this thread: https://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/30625-i-know-this-sounds-ridiculous-but/ It doesn't seem the driving profile switchover actually changes the throttle response
