Locking Wheel Nut?
You did remove the plastic wheel bolt covers before checking.

Thermostat replacement Kodiaq 2018
Most of the overheating faults reported on here have been down to the variable sleeve on the water pump being the culprit, rather than the thermostat.

Looking at moving from Superb to Kodiaq, after some feedback.
A lot of options there which could increase the allready rumoured 12 months waiting time for a new Kodiaq. DCC, never had it but posts on here suggest it doesn’t do much for the money, comfort too soft etc. Park assist, had it on a Yeti a few years ago, and only time I used it was as a party piece to impress the grandkids, pretty pointless IMHO. Running boards could have an effect on ground clearance, and only function I found they did on the demonstrator Kodiaq I had a test drive in, was to make the back of your trouser legs dirty. Rear seat backrest release seems pretty pointless. Heated Windscreen really useful, and since my Yeti that had one , I’ve always picked as an option on my 2 Kodiaq’s. Virtual Cockpit is a nice addition, does the L&K not have it as standard anyway? Latest models have the basic digital dash as standard now. Agree with the mats comment, rubber mats front and rear and rubber tunnel mat also, much easier to keep clean. As other have said it’s really up to you to choose the options that you will make use of, and that suit your lifestyle. Hope you enjoy the Kodiaq if you get one, I’m on my second one.

Sticking exterior door handle
I had the same on my previous Kodiaq, and there have seen reports of similar on other models , and always the passenger door handle. Spraying the mechanism exposed when the handle is pulled out with with white lithium grease solved the problem for me. I wouldn’t advise using standard WD-40 as this would just wash away any of the original lubricant , and doesn’t provide any useful lubricant properties.

Rules on charging car batteries?
Also remember to use the dedicated earth point on the bulkhead to connect the -ve lead from the charger and not the -ve terminal of the battery.

Blind spot detection
According to the August 2021 brochure I have, Blind spot was a £575 option, or you could get Lane assist and blind spot for £1000. The Travel assist pack was £1020, and does not include Blind spot detection. Attached is from November 2022 and as you can see the Blind spot options have disappeared. The Travel assist pack is still available, but as before does not include Blind spot detection.

Telephone
Strange,I have been using the steering wheel buttons to answer the phone on my previous Yeti, Kodiaq and current Kodiaq. The Yeti and previous Kodiaq had a dedicated phone button on the wheel, but on my current Kodiaq pressing the RH roller button on the wheel connects incoming call.

Excessive Revving
Strange it going from coasting to a low gear, mine only does this if you touch the brake pedal and it drops down a gear to provide engine braking. Only thing it might be is if your battery is low the car is clever enough to engage a gear so the battery charges on the overrun.

Type C usb behind rear view mirror
Yes

TPMS Direct or Indirect
Not strictly true, maybe in the case of the Octavia, but Skoda do fit sensors in the wheels ( direct TPMS) as is on my Kodiaq.

PCP for our Kodiaq ends soon and we would like to keep it - now what ?
I would check, you could find by taking out a bank loan to pay the ballon payment, you might end up paying more monthly than a new one on pcp especially if there is decent equity to pay a deposit.

- Will my car die if I replace the battery??
Typical bull droppings from Halfrauds. Any new/ replacement battery requires to be coded/adapted .- Skoda yeti 4x4 question
- Dash air vent
- Coding specs required please.
This any good? , hidden in plain sight at the top of this superb section..- 3rd row seats additional mat protection
If you use your 3rd row seats and have the rubber mats , there is a new piece to protect between seats and floor. Handy for kids / grandkids mucky feet Part no 565061580B and I got mine for £12 + delivery from eBay. Had to search web for where it actually went as picture only showed item.- Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Apparently latest cars that don’t have factory fit tow bar, or tow bar prep may not be able have tow bar retrofitted.- TPMS Direct or Indirect
Your tyre valves and your tyre monitoring display will look like this if you have the direct tyre monitoring system.- "Coasting" in other modes than ECO?
My 22 Kodiaq is exactly the same the eco symbol at top appears when in 2 cylinder mode, and the D with no gear number and revs at idle when you lift off the accelerator ( Coasting) This occurs in normal D mode as opposed to my previous 2018 Kodiaq that only coasted in Eco mode. - Will my car die if I replace the battery??
