Superb Sportline TDI with high mileage & DSG --- Go or No go ?
6speed 150 diesel in superb will be wet clutch DQ250. Pretty reliable. I ran one with 230hp 500nm for 110k miles no issue on a 4wd estate

Superb Sportline TDI with high mileage & DSG --- Go or No go ?
Is it a 15 or 190 diesel. I’m pretty sure those gearboxes were the DQ250 wet clutch. Should have had oil changes every 40k miles. 2wd or 4wd ?

Creaking noise on slow manoeuvre fix
Hi mate. Just put my mind at rest. Fitted the trc 1071 caster increase arms. Everything has tracked up perfect but the car seems narrower on the front and have lost about a degree of camber on each side. So just wondering if you measured your Superpro arms against the ones that came off. Were they identical and also do you have a 289 4x4

Creaking noise on slow manoeuvre fix
Hi mate. Just for clarification. You fitted the poly bushed arms and lost track width therefore camber. I’ve had some fitted this week and collected the car and was running 1.3-1,5 degrees neg camber before and is now just running 0.3 and track looks narrower !! Thought it was my eyes but this runs true. So superb arms are defo required with these bushes. I’ve had fitted super pro with caster increase

2023 Superb 280tsi DQ381 mapping
Best decision of the year mate 👍🏻 not many places in the uk do it but if you are around or can make the journey I’d highly reccomend clp tuning in Sheffield !! They do some tasty stuff in there and have a dyno 👍🏻

Roofbox recommendations
This is the older exodus and is the 560l one I think.. biggest you can get. Had it for the Octavia and then the superb. It’s vast but really good. Camping and snowboarding trips alike

2023 Superb 280tsi DQ381 mapping
Seriously look at TVS engineering stge2+ dsg map. It really is nice. Have a look at the features built into it too. I was in their place in Holland last year and they really are true dsg doktors as they call themselves

2023 Superb 280 Sportline Plus 4x4. A good buy?
Something doesn’t sound right there mate. Mine have made a huge difference. I live in Ireland now and the rural roads are quite undulating to say the least but the kinks keep it absolutely spot on.

Stage 1 remap
I personally wouldn’t bother with a box !! A lot of people like them because they think it can be taken off with no trace in the event of a warantee claim. But it can still be traced. Get a good custom remap from a reputable trusted and well reviewed company and the dsg map will make the best of the map. I have a superb 272 running a TVS DSG STGE 2+ map on the gearbox DQ381 that is tested up to 600nm with their map. I’ve had it mapped for 60k miles (car now has 100k miles on and it’s absolutely faultless. DSG map from TVs is best in the business. Also engine mapped by them too 380bhp 560nm I had a 190 tdi 4x4 before this and that was a Racingline map. That too was superb. That was the Dq250 box and was just under 500nm with no issues Beyond 100k on that one also

Thoughts on Superb 4x4 280
I’ve had both the diesel and the petrol 4x4. Petrol is so much more refined BUT my diesel was mapped 235bhp 540nm and was better low down. I picked up the 280 and thought I’d made a mistake swapping because it felt slower than the mapped diesel one. HOWEVER I have the 272 now with 380bhp 560nm and would not go back to diesel. Unless they brought out a BITDI version like the Passat. The 272 now is gorgeous to drive. Crunches the miles silently and very few issues just coming up to 100k miles. Haldex service every 20k. DSG every 40k suspension was floaty so koni special actives and h&r springs sorted that. you’ll struggle to get 38-40. On a run and average over 3k miles I’m on 32 but it does get worked 😂

Upgrade oil cooler
If it’s a good reputable map then it’ll be fine. If the map was the problem the engine would throw a code and it would go into safe mode. I had a superb sportline 4x4 mapped to 235bhp 530nm and never had an issue fully loaded etc !! Uprated rad and fan set would be the thing here I think and if you wanted to an Uprated oil cooler would certainly not do any harm.

Superb MK3 Rear Brakes
Just get obd eleven it’s on special this moth. Makes it soooo easy. Plug in, select brake service and rewinds the calipers for you. You still have to push them back in but it’s easy. Change brakes then close brake service and all done
