  1. I do remember that one yes. I was the one suggested it should be stickied!
  2. Yeah I've read through Matt's excellent thread. He's a fountain of knowledge too. A seat base cushion is one of the things I would have ordered by now if they were still available. But its the kind of thing that can be repaired without replacing if you get some decent foam. A job for the future for me!
  3. So when you turn the key to try to start, does the engine turn over or does it not do anything? If it does nothing, one thing you could try is wiggling the key while its turned into the start position. If you then get action, you probably need to replace your ignition switch. If that does nothing, it might be worth checking the earth leads from the engine for damage and/or corrosion. If your engine does turn over but takes a long time to fire, you might have a fuelling issue.
  4. Mine's heading the same way too. Thankfully hasn't worn through the cover yet but I'd need to do something with it before it does.
  5. I know where there is a full set of mudflaps but I have dibs on them to replace the boy racer rally style ones on mine just now. Set of wind deflectors on it too... The mudflaps and boot struts should be easy enough to come by. Sounds to me more like your shock absorbers are shot, not your springs. Good luck with your search anyway Ryan!
  6. A snap of my Karoq after a wash.
  7. That will most likely be your thrust release bearing but could be other pats assossiated with the clutch assembly. Either way a gearbox out job. Does the car drive normally and are you aware of the noise while driving in gear?
  8. @Achrys, the 1Z3,5 etc is the model number which can be found in your Dad's car's VIN.
  9. No, it'll be a bolt with a built-in flat washer.
  10. Gave mine a wash along with the two Fabias. It is a good looking car when its clean I have to say.
  11. No, it appears that it's Corrida Red they've got shot of as well as any solid colours. Velvet Red is still a costly option although not as expensive as the paint options used to be according to the Skoda UK configurator. And Rallye Green has been mixed with Sprint Yellow to become Hyper Green!
  12. I thought it must be something like that. That's no bother. It'd be interesting to know how you get on if you don't mind keeping us updated?
  13. Ah ok, I don't think it will matter what age of one you get from then. The overall shape of the dash is the same throughout. It was just bits of trim changed in the facelift I believe. A Google search of images from brochures would give you a better indication. Compare from maybe the 2016 brochure and your own car. Just being nosey but what's happened to your dash, is it not repairable?
  14. Yeah I would think it'll be hardy noticeable. But if you're intending to actually drive the car it makes more sense.
  15. Cleaned the wheels of my Fabia vRS. Hadn't been done for possibly two months I'm ashamed to admit. Hoping to give it a proper wash this weekend depending on the weather.
  16. What wheels are you getting done?
  17. The Fabia got a facelift for 2018, hence why you're seeing things for '18 on. If your car is a '20 model you'd be safest going for a dash out of an '18 on car. Is it the instrument cluster or the actual big piece of hardware you need?
  18. Yeah the wheels will look good with some tyres on.
  19. Spline drive/XZN Keith. 😁 Not that you care in the slightest. Mine went back in with a liberal slathering of grease. Not that I am intending to take them out again anytime soon but I will need to change the front shocks at some point in the not too distant future.
  20. Those wheels look great.
  21. Yeah I did that all too. The nuts were no problem at all. But one of the bolts had seized into the holes. Bit of heat got it out though.
  22. It doesn't take that much to spread the lugs at the base of the strut. Even getting a lever in there is enough to do it. I found getting the pinch bolt out a bigger issue.
  23. In seriousness, you will need to take the existing rubbers off before you fit the new vRS ones.😁 I would need to get a new set for mine. There's only a few bits holding the metal on the clutch pedal.
  24. You should be able to get another garage to order them from TPS for you. There's a branch in Aberdeen, I'm not sure about Inverness but I would think there will be garages near you that'll work with them. At least enquire about a price. Or check eBay of course.
