  1. They should fit fine Ryan. Put them in a bowl of boiled water out of the kettle to soften up the rubber before fitting them if they don't want to go on dry. And obviously remember to take your old ones off first!😁
  2. I realise it's a bit late for the OP now but Scouts came with the panoramic roof and vario-flex seats too. I personally think the extra body kit compliments the looks of the Karoq very well. I think the grille surround, roof rails and window surround trims would have gone better if they'd been colour matched with the silver bits of the body kit and wing mirror caps. That's maybe just me though.
  3. Ah ok that narrows things down a little. There might well be an intercooler situated behind the driver's side front bumper, if that's the case then the pipes going to it might be leaking from the joins. There is a cut out in the under tray section of the wheel arch liner for said pipe so you can have a quick look underneath and see instantly.
  4. If the tray is on, it could be coming from anywhere and travelling until it drips. Front corner suggests from the front of the engine somewhere though. Also what engine is in the car?
  5. Seconded. They're not expensive from the dealers and take minutes to replace. Hold up the boot lid with a broom or an extra body. With a flat screwdriver, pull out the metal band clips at each end of the strut which should then just pop off easily. They are usually just push back on for refitting. The band clip will go around the ball joint itself.
  6. Good calls there John. Surely though, if there was an interference source, using the key as normal (pushing the button to unlock) wouldn't work either unless very close to the car. And even then it might not work immediately. I would have thought the same would be the case for the receiver on the car end not working. The way to be a bit more certain of signal interference would be to try unlocking the car by pushing the button from a bigger distance away from the car. Not more than five to ten metres away though. I've seen my keys being affected by being parked next to a certain kind of car too but never had KESSY affected in such a way. Let us know how you get on.
  7. It looks like the previous owner couldn't be bothered to redo the clip behind where the cable tie is there or said clip can no longer fasten. Try redoing that clip and you won't need the cable tie if it stays shut.
  8. Yip perfect logical progression from a Felicia which is perfect for the basics.😁
  9. And when you don't so they can need something really expensive! 😄
  10. Shhhh! 🤫 Don't let the car hear you say that. You know what will be coming next...😂
  11. I would far rather it was separate switch or on all the time like Merc's have. Ford's have it tied in with the rear screen demist and it doesn't stay on long enough to clear the mirrors if they're wet.
  12. It's not a theory, it's fact! 😄 Mine needed a new radiator and I thought I'd give it a new block coolant pipe too but then it thought it wanted a new oil filter housing gasket! It needed a new track rod end on the driver's side and then it decided it wanted new lower arms and joints on both sides. And that's not the end of it.😂
  13. @Colin170CRGet a project thread started!😁 Not done anything today but yesterday I put the rear seats (varioflex) back into the car after using it in van mode to pick a bunch of flat pack furniture.
  14. It looks like that yes. And if you look back at some of my posts from our discussion earlier in the thread, you will find a reasonable description of where it is and how to get to it.
  15. Yeah no worries. I've just read your post in the other section about number plates. Would you not be best just going to your local factors?
  16. Ah I see, you mean the centre caps. That makes more sense, I thought you were referring to your bolt caps. 😁 But at least they were modifiable and you got them sorted. @DieselMonte That's the way! I had the same problem on my Fabia on the passenger's side front wheel too. The cap was there when I got the car but disappeared the first time I drove it. I found a spare cap in my tool box at home last week so that went on.
  17. The locking bolt must be opposite the tyre valve and the flat of the arrow in the badge must be perpendicular to that bolt. 😄 So if they're a couple of mm bigger, they're not the right size surely and not what you ordered?🤔
  18. Yep that's definitely better. But your placement of the locking wheel nut and centre cap are triggering my OCD so I'll stop looking.😄
  19. Sellers look to have cottoned on quickly to the increase in demand for second hand cars. I count myself lucky to have gotten my Fabia when I did. There's a lot of sellers now looking for nearly twice what I paid for mine for cars with higher mileage, poorer bodywork etc. If you have a reasonable budget, an SE might be worthwhile investing in. Good luck with your search. I hope you get a good one!
  20. Well I was charged £77.50 + vat a wheel up here last time I got some done. I realize I probably could have gotten it cheaper south but the cost shipping them back and fore would have cancelled out any saving. I think you'll be alright with the clear. As they say, the key is in the preparation, which you appear to be getting on well with.
  21. That one looks good.👍 I would need to give this a go with my spare set of wheels. I just always wonder if paint will be tough enough to resist damage when refitting the tyres. I would usually get mine powder coated.
  22. Welcome to the forum Robert! I look forward to seeing this restoration progress. Remember to add your name to the Fun Register in the Classics section!
  23. We definitely think along similar lines then. Subtlety all the way!
  24. Yeah that will look good. I was expecting you to say red to go with the car though!
