  1. Good morning Dave, welcome to the forum. 1. Yes, Mk.3 is Canbus. 2. Yes, almost certainly given comments seen from other members switching to LEDs. From your last sentence, did you use your previous trailer with current car?
  2. My wife had a similar issue with her Fabia - the symbol was displayed above the plan-view image (car silhouette) in the matrix display.
  3. 2006, way too long! The Fabia is the wifes wheels, it has the 110PS engine. Not as smooth as the Octavia but goes very well. We got it from a Skoda dealer in Eastbourne - who thought it was only a 90PS! Pretty odd as the 6-speed box should have given it away. Result!
  4. Hi John, welcome to the forum. Was a symbol displayed at the same time? - Possibly a warning that front assist is unavailable (radar sensor masked by debris, etc)
  5. Hi Belinda, the 90PS would be ok - but keep an eye out for one with the 1.0 TSI 110PS engine.
  6. Hi, yes - have been away from home for far too long. Wellington boy, but moved to Taradale in 1980 because of the horrible winters. OE trip in 1984 - still here!
  7. Hello HMS, welcome to the forum. The low level light will come on with around one litre of oil used - contents of engine oil sump is around 4 to 4.5 litres, so around 25% used - do you not check oil level more than once a year?
  8. Tena Koe Bazza, there was an update to the coolant level expansion tank sensor in the past three years, where the sensor probes were changed - I believe this change was made exactly for the reason you describe. A search in the topics section should show you the difference. It might be possible to carefully clean the probes using an old tooth brush, but the cost of a new, updated tank shouldn't be that much anyway. Does your existing tank still have the 'Mit Silicat' teabag in it? - get rid!
  9. Is there anything attached to the underside of that screw? If not, perhaps some scrote thought it was the fuel tank and was trying for a free top up but was disturbed in the act. They'd get really disturbed if I caught them!
  10. Hi Rob, re. dropping off the 15mm fuel line - I did that once while marshalling on the Mobil economy run, (when all NZ motorsport was cancelled in 1974) - I ended up looking and smelling like a monk about to self-imolate!
  11. Hi, how much inconvenience is it to have to press the remote button on the fob? - not to mention possible security issues and reduced fob battery life. Useful to have the tow bar, even if you only use it for a cycle carrier. How often would you really need the park assist? Seems a fair price for the mileage - this model and engine is really great.
  12. Just checked for the 2020 Kamiq the radio antenna is in the side rear glass. The GPS/GNSS antenna appears to be in the windscreen, near the rain sensor / front camera.
  13. Hi Ben, I can't say for sure for the Kamiq, but it may be incorporated in rear glass.
  14. Hi Rob, that fuel filler pipe does look pretty flat - if not actually "uphill" I recall a Toyota flat deck that had a filler like that, and it was a bas7ard to fill unless it was parked on a slope.
  15. Is it too late to cancel the deal? especially as they are now moving the goalposts. I rather suspect she will be better off with the old car back.
  16. In polite language - "The Fundament of the World" Your pictures made me feel quite homesick. Was a visit to The Chateau included on your run?
  17. Guess what we used to call Waiouru ATG?
  18. Which, at almost $3.30 a litre, means you have to sponge it up off the deck!
  19. 2) - really bad idea, the legs just snap off and the carcase comes straight through the windscreen.
  20. That's because it was DAF's design project P900 replacement for the DAF66 - sold reasonably well, especially the 360 with the Volvo B19 engine.
  21. Get the thermostat checked, common fault.
  22. Hi Tony, welcome to the forum. Very likely to be the thermostat sleeve sticking - can be a common fault on certain models. Try a search for this under cooling problems. What car and engine do you have?
  23. I agree, spalling on the 1st picture does suggest something internal letting go.
