  1. The fact both are alike makes me think it’s unlikely anything to be off. Hopefilly you’re just expecting too much, myself and others have said the headlights aren’t the best. For coding I suspect @JR RS will know as he’s swapped headlights over previously, 99% sure it’s plug and play
  2. Originals aren’t that good, you need night breaker lasers or Philips extreme vision for best light output but do get some pictures of your projectors, there is a way to clean them but involves dismantling it and putting headlights in the oven but it’s a lot of work. The headlights are pretty much sealed units so shouldn’t ever really get dirty or dusty, so if it’s really bad then headlight is probably naff anyway, is it the same on both sides? Cleaning the inside of the projector should be easier, bulb out and get a long cotton bud soaked in isopropyl alcohol, never done this though Replacing headlight itself isn’t cheap either
  3. What bulbs did you get? I’ve also found doing a full turn anti clockwise (heightened) to improve the lights. If the exterior lens is rubbish then you can try something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/3M-39073-Restoration-Discoloured-Headlights/dp/B0078IHJ1K/ref=asc_df_B0078IHJ1K?mcid=d71d28b5dde738efba1b71684a22f97b&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=697364890259&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9403890865363855571&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9191904&hvtargid=pla-467642978334&psc=1&gad_source=1 You will most likely like to reapply uv coating. Post a picture of your lights at night from within the car Abd another of your lens as you said it’s like being sandblasted but might be what we all have anyway and not the issue
  4. If you’re in eco and using acc it won’t go into coasting, something to bear in mind
  5. Bodge it https://www.amazon.co.uk/Under-Cupboard-Kitchen-Lights-LED/dp/B0DCGDTN3S/ref=asc_df_B0DCJ4XNBQ?mcid=85c7ea31bad531a381439416059564cb&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=714655221788&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11789951457197271629&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9191904&hvtargid=pla-2370951649418&psc=1&gad_source=1&th=1
  6. Must admit I can’t hear much Does it happen when there’s a passenger sat in the seat? Also have you tried moving the seat all the way forward or back? Just wondering if there’s something in the rails rattling
  7. Wheel covers that’s going back some years Only thing I can think of is make sure the tyre valve is properly lined up with the wheel cover value hole then cable ties
  8. Not too sure about Ireland, it’s somewhat similar but no way near as accurate as google maps because that shares data instantly. Not too sure about quality difference, I don’t think that when android auto or apple is involved it plays audio over Bluetooth, but in your audio settings have a search for something like “Bluetooth audio sound” my car it was set to low, as soon as I put that to high it sounded better but that was for me playing music
  9. No issues , won’t bring in bugs as it’s literally for maps only so no new features, just roads . I always do it on mine. You should see Europe maps and not just world, if you’re in UK as you using the correct url for Skoda update portal? As the car is new to you in the last few years Skoda stopped receiving traffic reports, if you’ve got vcds etc you can change a code to get this back though. If traffic reports important to you and don’t have vcds etc then just stick with google maps via android auto and apple car play, at least it’s live data for traffic compared to what could be old news through traffic reports
  10. ^ that’s the sticker I was thinking of, shame they don’t have it there, most other cars do 😞
  11. Isn’t it on the sticker in the door pillar? Note the paint code will be there not the name
  12. Inspection service is the basic, which is oil change and visual look at things. ”extended scope” isn’t much better as it’s basically the same If I was you I’d change things like pollen filter and air filter as well, easy to do and cheap enough You can also clear the message by doing some funky button hold and ignition on but can’t remember the order, YouTube will help there though
  13. I’d take it back and ask who ever replaced it. Another thing I can think of is the Skoda connect subscription hasn’t ran out has it?
  14. Must admit I don’t know how to use a multimeter nor have one 😞 I’m sure there’s plenty of videos online but if getting the light out wasn’t too hard, get the working one out and swap around, if the fault follows then it’s the light
  15. Not too many decent EV’s are under £40k and I believe it’s not based on base level so any extras brings you over as well. If someone only does small miles then getting an EV isn’t going to make any sense now, might as well get a diesel like mine and still only pay £35 hmm
  16. £10 for the first year, then £170 a year which is also back dated to 2017 EV’s Then if the car is over £40k which is basically all EV’s you’ll have to pay an additional £350 or so a year too. So from year two on an EV you’ll be paying £400 something a year on VED which let’s be honest is just another tax. I don’t have the exact figures but it’s something like the figures above. Typical labour going after “rich” car owners 😭
  17. I was reading about the VED starting from April for EV’s, certainly less attractive already
  18. Hmm it’s likely the whole unit is faulty of this is anything to go by get it booked in sooner if I were you, because it’ll be costly and they’ll bound to mess you around with “well it’s past 30 days now”
  19. Ah okay, so yeah sounds like issue with car then. Whenever it does it film it on your phone, then get it booked in and show them the videos. The GPS is in the shark fin attends on the roof, Skoda label it as GNSS I suspect they’ll need to change that or check its wiring at the minimum.
  20. Hang on, so if you’re at home and on your phone then map apps on your phone cannot pinpoint your location? Or is it phone apps cannot pinpoint location once connected to the car?
  21. I may be wrong but I think with mib3, you insert the card and leave it to do its thing, no need to click “map update” manually like mib2’s. If you do a long drive (30-40mins plus) check back later and should see the map version change
  22. Next time I get 12v low - charge to drive, I’ll bite the bullet
  23. No keyless for me, and no easy open option either. So I guess people who have keyless can open and close with fob Peasants like me without can’t 😁
  24. I was right next to it hmm, is yours non l&k?
