It'll be Friday lunch before I can report back, but I can ask the Ambulance Service if they have Airwaves.
  2. For once I actually believe them!!
  3. How about traction control faults?
  4. Or perhaps you could learn to read, since this forum is marked "Not to be used for car related questions"?
  5. Sounds like normal function to me.
  6. That is not merely possible but actually probable. It's also good practice and cheaper to get a fault like this fixed.
  7. Those D3S are plasma discharge units, so the price is actually pretty typical.
  8. Check the wiring on the RHR ABS sensor. And check that the chopper disc is clean.
  9. Indeed; it's actually snowed in the micro-climate where I live!
  10. Sensor covered so it thought it was dark out.
  11. Ok, what you say is correct, but your diagnosis is wrong. What you need is a new genuine brake light switch.
  12. The engine is just and only just warm enough to stop the cold start pre-heat engaging fully.
  13. Why do you expect assistance with Spanish consumer affairs laws from a mostly UK website?
  14. I'm pretty sure that JayOrr doesn't understand the point behind "charge to 80%" (optimising fuel burn in CAFE or similar tests rather than maximising battery life).
  15. It is illegal to fit LED bulbs in reflector headlights. It is also illegal to fit plasma discharge units in reflector headlights.
  16. The full wheel sizing information is literally cast (or stamped) into the wheel rim, eg19x8 ET42 5x112 57.2. Meaning 19" diameter by 8 inch wide, 42mm inset from 0, 5 bolts on a 112mm diameter PCD and a 57.2 mm diameter centre spigot.
  17. This won't work well because you're retaining 19" wheels and hence a similar sidewall height. You'd be better to fit 17" wheels and thus get an extra inch of sidewall.
  18. And there's more; there are 2 possible PCDs, 5x100 and 5x112, even if they both have the same spigot diameter.
  19. It's a box full of metal and water.
  20. I don't read Greek; can you supply a translation of the title so I can search for a subtitle or English dub copy?
  21. Turn "Lane Enforce" off; it sounds like you don't need it anyway.
  22. Driving from Notts to Glasgow to get a labour rate of £60/hour and maintain your service log.
  23. I wouldn't recommend this: You have a good chance (better than 1/2) of breaking the hardened steel stud extractor off in the stuck bolt and needing spark erosion to get it out.
  24. Can't help; I don't know anyone East of Motherwell except Agra Engineering in Dundee.
  25. It's a hike from Notts, but "B for BMW" use trained mechanics and will maintain a BMW service history on your 0.5 series.
