New wheels
You could always offer 'free' Bed & Breakfast to a Mobile van person and arrange more work for them while they come over. Head for thinking, feet for dancing.

Module 09 in transport mode
I believe that at the PDI it should be changed out of 'Transport mode'. there as a restriction while being transported, driven by delivery drivers.

New wheels
There is somebody very good near Dyce Airport but if you are not there for any reason then no use. As the very good place in Ayr / Prestwick, hence they are very busy and have waiting lists.

1.6tdi blue smoke until engine warms
If no Recall outstanding when you check the MOT Website or the Skoda Recall site then likely the FIX was done. But not Always. Then it could have been rolled back & flow device removed. Worth looking at the Intake before the Air Filter box and see if their MAGIC device is fitted.

Winter roads, ice, snow and wet or dry driving in an EV..
Car has had a wash for the first time since i got it. No freezing temps forecast this week. It badly needed it, but the Dealers prep guys 'WAX' / Manual Wash Wax was damn good. Wind Deflectors have been great for when sitting charging, or dogs are in car. Michelin CrossClimate 3 tyres have been good over the winter so far. (not over yet) Not been in much snow, but where i was on fresh snow they gave grip but were just so so really. Had to replace a front on Friday and @ £150 thought i might put on a pair of Cheaper Snow tyres as i have used previously, but on checking they are not so cheap anymore, so 1 new Michelin fitted. Much care needed at junctions even in the warm dry as the car wheel spins very easily. Seems to be nothing happening in the way of traction control in any mode other than my foot. PS. Re Wind Deflectors, £45 a set of 4 from China. Took 3 weeks to come. Best i have ever had and i have paid more than double over the years on some right crap sets or even a pair. These double sided taped on to the Chrome Trim and have chrome trim. Great fit, not into door / glass rubbers. *** Panicked and Fixed for 12 months the available Next Drive Tariff from Eon Next.*** I had the 6.7 pence a 7 hours up till July & missed the 7.5 pence a 6 hours still available last Wednesday, but i am gambling by going for what is available now.

Interesting 🤔
My electric car that i had from Motability lost 12,500 miles over night with an over the air software update that locked me out. Then lost more miles when at the Main Dealers getting Software Updates that they failed time after time to do. Finally done on a Sunday when Service Centre Closed and by a person i know that decades back was the local contractor / tech for Clocking back Taxis and Fleet hire cars.

the truth about electric cars
@Graham Butcher Yes HGV deliveries to hubs / depots, then van fills and out delivering and transferring to local agents. More and more now Evri is tracked then last delivery here is Royal mail / Parcel force. DPD recently to me less than 24 hours Germany to my door in Scotland. RoI deliveries Royal Mail tracked or whoever days and days and days to get here 48 hour tracked. Anyway, it is what it is, if the Fleets are punting Electric vans then good. Some like a bargain. Plenty Utilities and Deliveries are using Electric Light Commercials.

Reliability Issues & Strange Noises: Should I keep my Skoda Scala 1.0 DSG?

the truth about electric cars
^^^ Indeed, gig economy, we live in this real world. So as in the many parts of The Real World UK, the van arrives into a town and swaps at the roadside, car park, charging hub into the delivery drivers car. Like with my 2 local delivery guys. The Depot is in the City near by. The van drivers are not wanting the runs up farm tracks, into glens etc when they have drops to do ever 6 minutes.

Did the car get the VW Fix and is running that Engine Management and the flow device in the air intake?

the truth about electric cars
****-ed. Those that are. Those that need to go miles and miles and out and about. That is one group, then there are the others in towns and cities and LEZ,s etc. Light Commercial Vehicles are of all types and for all uses. So there is the big picture to see. Then there are those that can use a car / estate car / MPV type vehicle to do the same job as the van did. @Graham Butcher If you had ever driven a BEV and charged at public chargers you would meet the van drivers, trades people with the pile of poo of a vehicle. Back a few years ago with the crap that they would not take passengers or tools and were charging several times a day. There are still people like that, and there are others that have no issues, they work around charging and their break and glory in the reduced running costs. It takes all sorts.,.

Dpf light & Oil Pressure Issue
I see there is a new issue you have posted about and blue smoke. Easier if the new issue goes beside this one. Did you change the Oil & Filter?

Do you not think liked to the issue you posted about in December on the DPF and Oil Pressure light. What have you done since then to the car?

Greetings from Switzerland
Reversing lights have never been about lighting up behind for the drivers, only letting others know there is a vehicle reversing. Now there are many driving about with Rear Number plate bulbs brighter than some cars front Side Lights and than any reversing lights. For a little assistance reversing if not on a road, put your rear fog light on. Or as we did still into the 1970,s a nice rear Spot Light fitted. (working light.) Rally stylee.

the truth about electric cars
Maxus vans & Pickups. Many many many of them on the roads. As to Vauxhall Electric vans, it is the 75 kWh battery ones that there are many new ones going on the roads not the 50kWh. As it is the small battery ones are 'Much cheapness' as used vehicles. A bargain really for anyone that might not need much range without charging, and will not be towing.

EV real world range and cost to charge
I was kicking myself for not Fixing my energy for 12 months last Wednesday for a few pence more a kWh and an hour less offpeak. So i panicked and Fixed yesterday at the latest price. As to range, that is now @ 4 miles a kWh driving local. I have the AC off and the Rapid Screen demist as not needed, i have used it pretty much all the time since i got the car but now have Wind Deflectors fitted and the windows a couple of mm down, the interior of car is dry even though dogs carried. So 52 kWh @ 9.5 pence a kWh home charge is just about £5. That is good for 175-200 or so miles. Just the Public charging increases to pay, whatever they get to.

Octavia mk2 unstable swerving left to right at 60MPH+
I would as suggested by @MikeTheThinker swap front to back. Behaviour is likely to just crap tyres. 'Arrowspeed'.Not Halfords own brand, Kwik Fit sell them. Check the manufacturing dates.

Octavia mk2 unstable swerving left to right at 60MPH+
@radas35 Is it used tyres that are now on the car? (Already shaped / misshaped) by the previous user) .What width and profile were the 16" and what are the 18"?, what brand / name tyres have you on now, and what pressure are they at?

the truth about electric cars
Healthy Life expectancy is down in Scotland & RoUK. That is for many more important than Life Expectancy. Lets see just how long life expectancy and actual average life of those turns out to be from born in the 1970,s. I would put money on them not living healthy or their lives being as long as women born WW2 time or just after the war. SEARCH. Healthy Life Expectancy 2026. Plenty articles published in the past weeks.

New owner - first service
ICE cars leave the Factory on Variable Servicing so @ 24 months, 18,000-20,000 miles. But might get reset at the PDI to Fixed OIl Service regimes of 9,400 miles / 372 days.

the truth about electric cars
I know that, the question was really for @Graham Butcher, i should have said. The future is not ours to see, and i cvan not understand why anyone with maybe less than 2 decades of driving is worried and no more new ICE cars for them to buy. Just get a new car if you want a new car while they are still available. Last of the last.
