If you have a MIB2 then you have an Octavia 3 so you have posted in the wrong forum.

A 2013 Octavia will have a MIB1 Amundsen which has different screen resolution to a 2018 screen for a MIB2 - they are not compatible.

Not convinced that it's possible to remotely detect fuse or wiring problems?

Could be missing/blown fuse or wiring/connector problem too.

For a 1.5ACT engine that's too low, that's the quote for a 1.4 non-ACT engine. The ACT needs special tools and takes longer. 5years/80k miles is the old recommendation by Skoda UK which was "corrected" last year. Sounds like your "local ish VAG garage" is not 100% trustworthy?

All Audi's (S3, A4, S4, RS4) and Skoda's (Fabia, Octavia) I've owned have had the low fluid warning including those without Xenon headlamps?

I hope it's strong enough to withstand being run over by lorries such as bin lorries?

The comment about the water pump being in the same area is only true for some of the engines fitted to the Octavia 3 - it is NOT true for the EA211 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.5 petrol engines where the water pump is on the other end of the engine!

There isn't a "one size fits all" answer as it depends on driving style, environment, etc. Which is why VAG as a whole advise a time/mileage after which it should be regularly inspected.

It's not that the parts are being made better it's that Skoda UK were out of step with the rest of the VAG empire when they were saying 5 years. It seems they were forced to get back in line when the cambelt replacement costs on the ACT versions were so much higher than the non-ACT versions.

Sometimes on the MQB platform, which includes the Octavia 3, this process needs to be repeated up to 5 times to reset the one touch.

Was it made with 25.3 as requested? The header wasn't posted and I'm no expert at spotted the output of hacked versions of VCDS so it's not clear to me.
