  1. Welcome. Sorry if stating the obvious or it is my eyes deceiving me. The broken lights need replaced.
  2. The Parking Lights are ignition off and indicator stalk down, left or right. one front sidelight (position light) on and one rear side lights and a registration plate or 2 light bulbs lit. Side Lights are not Parking Lights in the UK.
  3. Best check Exhaust / Cat / DPF shields, or even the Core of the DPF or silencers. ? The DPF has not been stripped out by any chance?
  4. Are you certain it is not the back plate dust shield for the disc brakes?
  5. @IainCly Is your car really a Mk2 Octavia Estate but not first registered to 2016. It maybe is a very special build.
  6. ^^^ Maybe the case if you have the car from new or know how it was used in it's previous life. If you are buying a used one, maybe one someone got rid of because they were told it needed a new DPF then that is where you actually need to read soot levels.
  7. Welcome. Something someone had installed or did for what ever reason. Machine guns, Ejector Seat, rear bullet proof shield, maybe on a Skoda it drops oil on the road.
  8. So maybe the second thermostat regulator as discussed in the other overheating or coolant temperature fluctuating threads. As to Towbar prep and the changes that involved as far as the Coolant system, they will have designed and engineered that because they thought it was necessary.
  9. No horror stories, but you only know how engines & cars are after 5 years when they are over 5 years old. That time is coming. Cam Belt change time for early ones. 4 cylinder TSI's dropped because the WLTP & RDE were coming and then GPF's fitted to petrol cars.
  10. Welcome. Sorry i can not help you with that gallery unit. But on ebay there are similar, Campervan pod for campervan, Vangear Mini-pod etc. £525. http://vangear.co.uk
  11. Very nice. Every little helps. They are sitting on billions of quid as it is as the £ is poor, and hopefully it is invested well, maybe in renewables and not Government Bonds.
  12. Plenty busses around the country have no drivers to take them out. Great to see there is no un-employment among people with a PSV licence or people that could get one. In Inverness there is a bus that needs no driver. Once they teach it where it actually has to go then all might be well. http://pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/transport/4882207/inverness-driverless-bus-launch-delayed-as-bus-doesnt-know-where-it-is
  13. I am happy to be back in my car. Total comfort for me . Simple controls where they should be. I think the software update could have made some more battery capacity available. Maybe just spare capacity they had for when there is battery degradation. I will see if any improvement in range & run the battery low and see how much it takes to recharge. Today it does look like it was slower charging from 90- 96 %. I would normally of charged to 98% and quicker. Maybe that was an issue that the Update was addressing. Fair review here by him IMO. A simple upgrade measure is better tyres than ECO Ditch Finders. As seen here. Suits the not so slim.....
  14. The battery is the least of the worries. They did engineer them with the usage in mind. No worries with those. Well as long as the Safety critical recall actions are done promptly. Not something that VW group / Skoda seems to be bothering making possible.
  15. The Arial Nomad comes with a choice of tyres, Geolander A/T's or Mud Tyres.
  16. @Aspman I used the Geolander G012 in winter and they were good. Not that good in muddy conditions though.
  17. Be aware some performance pads are pretty crap for everyday road use just getting about in town. Consider that you drive in the wet and cold sometimes or lots of the time. You want brakes that you can start a journey when cold and if a child runs out 100 meters after you are down the road you can stop as quick as possible. Nobody cares how good your brakes feel to you when driving in a spirited manner with heated tyres and brakes as long as you are not killing or maiming them when you fail to make a corner or stop. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/425257-another-reason-to-avoid-ebc-pads http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/483106-anyone-has-recent-experience-of-ebc-discpads http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/261036-green-red-or-yellow-stuff http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/491867-product-review-bluestuffyellowstuff-pads-gd-tested-on-skoda-octavia-vrs http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/301968-feredo-ds250s-performance-pads-my-arse
  18. What were they doing for that price and what was done at the last service? How many miles has the car done and how old and is it just an Oil Service, Oil change or more service items. There is a Skoda Fixed Price Service & Maintenance list with Participating dealers. 3 to 10 years, fixed service regimes. Younger cars might get a matched price or cheaper or more expensive, depends where you are going or to whom. http://skoda.co.uk/owners/servicing-maintenance-fixed-price An Oil & Inspection service was £185 and might still be, extended scope at 3 years is extra £60. A pollen filter @ 2 years is £35 if they change it. Oil & Inspection Service £185 Extended Scope £60 Pollen Filter £35 ......£280. Maybe Brake Fluid @ 3 years, Haldex Oil change due at 3 years / 30,000 miles.
  19. I flagged it to them. The 3 dots up on the right hand side, and there is a 'report'. so i did that.
  20. Interesting that in the UK you can get 'All Season tyres' on 17" rims. Not on a iV PHEV though. The 'Rough Road' package with 19" wheels is a rather odd spec. Surely not for handling boat like, maybe more style than practicality for tyre choice.
  21. Or @Damian@DPM forum sponsors.
  22. They really are not going to be putting them out handling like a boat. Blue light emergency services might well be using them. They might need to really do an Elk test! How much higher is the measurement given ground to roof by Skoda over to car without the rough road package and what clearance measurement is given with and without the Rough Road protection panels?
