Replacing 17" Alloys with 16" Alloys
Rim width and offset might be important too. I'd think the 16" would fit over your brakes, but worth checking that as well (e.g. most vRS's can't use wheels less than 17"). 'commercial rated tyres' - are they van tyres?: G

Visually etc. My car of the day -today
Mrs Gaz had a 1981 1.3 in 1987 in two-tone blue above silver. We think it was a Sport, rather than a Supersport. It replaced a 1.1L (but was never as good). I worked in LA transport at the time and we had Chevettes as fleet cars (amongst others). They were really hit and miss - I remember one, brand new, being rejected because of roof rust, and another, also new, going back for using a litre (might've been a pint, my memory fails me) of oil every 500 miles.

Bit disappointed on checking out the Elroq
I sat in my first Elroq yesterday and was surprisingly underwhelmed too. But also from the fact I couldnāt have one. At 6ā4ā the only way I could get in was with the seat all the way back, but then it also had to be all the way down too, which was then a complete no for me as a driving position. Gaz

Best for long distance motorway miles?
According to the age youāre looking at, the 1.6TDIās had the seven speed DQ200 dry clutch, whereas the 2.0TDIās had the six speed wet clutch DQ250. The DQ250 is, in my opinion, the better and more robust of the two. Gaz

Tesla Model Y SUV, will be launched on 14th March 2019
Iām staying up on The Wirral at the moment with a friend who has just had her car written off. Looking at cars today, and Iāve just had an hourās test drive in a Model Y Launch Edition. I have to say I was totally blown away by it. Awesome car, that I struggle to fault at all. Itās certainly made me reflect and reevaluate my views on EVās, as the test drive was a revelation and thoroughly enjoyable experience. That I can actually afford one (might even be better off) was a real surprise! Gaz

Approved used warranty + extended warranty
Agree 100% š Skoda dealer not offering a Skoda warranty on an āApprovedā car. And then trying to say āYeah, but this warrantyās betterā (until you need to make a claim). Nice try, but itād be a no thanks from me. Gaz

I had a Brown Water Scorpion on my patio just now: About 2" long. I don't recall ever seeing one before, but looking them up, they're native to North America. As it flew off, that pink under the wing cases is actually quite a vivid red. Gaz
