Seen a Steel Grey Yeti parked across from my office in Blythswood Square, Glasgow. My second favourite Yeti colour :smirk:

:hi: , O level in Greek no good at all, now O level in Double Dutch may be better :giggle:

I can't disagree with that hypothesis - problem id that our local authority doesn't offer classes in DD !

Saw a Yeti with a small trailer at Cala Mitjana beach, Arta, Mallorca on 28.05. Really nice location. The color was Muscovado (maybe) :) The driver was enjoying the view :)

Spotted a steel grey 11 reg Greenline, with roof bars and 3 cycle holders attached at Tower Knowe Visitor Centre in Kielder today. Anyone here? Plus another aqua blue passed me on the way home, just a few minutes from leaving Tower Knowe.

Beautiful place Kielder (biggest man made lake in Europe). Anyone been before?

The Yeti feels right at home on the twisty country roads leading up to Kielder, and got a lot of admiring, or maybe curious? looks from people milling around the area.

Saw a Black 60 reg, with ally roof bars fitted, in my rear view mirror around 6:30 this morning on the A41 Hendon Way travelling south, just after the Brent Cross flyover. It was in the Lane 1 and took a left fork into Wayside going off towards Golders Green.

Mornin'

A Black SE has appeared on a drive at the bottom of my road, replacing a silver Rav 4 that used to park there.

Was getting fuel the other day at the dealers and he told me that they have now sold 15 Yeti's, being only 9 x 5 miles Jersey must be the most densely populated Yeti area in the UK. :giggle:

Two today; a silver/grey on the Halifax to Queensbury road with a private number (X11 ***) and Maffa, I saw your 'vicar' complete with dog collar between 'Fax and Hebden ... and I got a wave!

Glad somebody waves.

I've seen 3 yetis now, two musco and one in red and every time I've waved they've stared at me like i'm a loon.

:giggle:

On the way from Durham to York on the A19. Red 60 Reg SE parked on kerb in Shipton near York.

Then A1(M), Dual Carriage near Pontefract, heading North, Dark Blue (not sure which one) Elegance with Spitzberg.

At long last, my duck finally broken today - first one spotted, a Muscovado on a bend near Cadwell Park on the A153. Got a cheery wave from the driver, hope my reciprocated response in kind was quick enough to be seen. Was beginning to wonder if I'd ever see another :wonder:

Weird one today, spotted one parked and block by a Astra near Peabody Square (estate) on Blackfriar's Road.

Cappacino (Light Brown/Beige) SE.

Lost count of the number and colours of the Yetis we saw on our visit to Exmoor last week (mostly A361 and B3224), but they included a white, a silver, a green and a couple of others - one was towing a caravan. I attempted a late wave at a couple but no response. At least I'm now getting better at discriminating between Yetis and Roomsters! Saw a couple of Superb Combis too - I was quite close to buying a TFSI to replace my XF when the VAT-free offer was on.

Silver/grey '11' reg one in Hebden Bridge yesterday, we passed in opposite directions in a slow moving queue through the roadworks in the centre of town. Youngish (well, compared to me) woman driver gave me a very odd/worried look as I waved furiously and grinned like a lunatic.

Very smart Black one at top of Hullen Edge Elland (11 plate)7.40am on my way back from my morning yomp to get my Yorkshire Post. Did not wave as he would think whats this pillock doing :)

Never mind, I'm sure I'll be waving at you soon! :D

Came up behind a Dutch (NL) registered Black Yeti 2WD (no 4x4 on the boot) travelling North on the A1(M) this evening around 7:00pm at Junction 1 with the M25 junction.

After a couple of miles, I overtook, gave a blink/blink of my 4 way flashers and in return received a headlamp flash and cheery wave from the solo (male) driver.

I left the A1(M) at Junction 3 and he carried on northwards.

Sat in a queue of traffic eastbound on the A646 just west of Hebden Bridge this morning, about four cars behind a grey Yeti, PF10 ***. He managed to slip though the temporary traffic lights at the roadworks on 'green' ;) and I was stuck behind so lost touch.

... and another one, dark blue, '60 plate, basic model (no TDI/TSI or 4x4 badges, and no cover on the dashboard top cubby) parked in a disabled bay in Tesco at King X, Halifax.

Is that a cross between Elsie, Judy and Lucy, Bob? Make a great song/noise

Hebden Bridge is a small market town in the South Pennines once described, in a national newspaper, as "the lesbian capital of northern Europe". The town is full of crank vegetarian wholefood shops and restaurants, many of them run by members of the aforementioned sisterhood, known locally as 'the Muffia'. Hebden Bridge railway cafe is probably the only place in West Yorkshire that you could ask for a 'raspberry and echinaccea tea' and not get a punch in the face. Every alternative therapy known to humankind is on offer, usually supplied by the dreadlocked folk who live on the canalboats, and who grow interesting plants in windowboxes, and smoke the most peculiar smelling substances. The alternative crowd will tell you that they were drawn to Hebden Bridge because it has ancient and mystic properties - being at the confluence of two rivers (the Calder and the Hebble) and three 'ley lines'. Perhaps that also explains why I keep seeing Yetis here :D Three more today (two of which I have seen before), grey PF10 xxx (thanks for the wave), grey YH10 xxx (shame on you) and a red one in the distance.

I knew it..........Bob's an aged hippy really!!! :giggle:

I took a narrowboat up the Rochdale a few years ago & found Hebden Bridge a fascinating place. I can quite believe there there are all sorts there which probably adds to the town's "charm". I do recall that there was (?is?) a superb outdoor clothing/hiking etc. shop there & there was (canalside) am excellent Thai restaurant. Hate to think of you discouraging any but the pink sofa brigade from visiting, Bobdog.

Hey, I live just outside Hebden. The Thai is the best restaurant in town ... I'm so much a regular that the owner plies me with free drinks. Hebden has lots of good little shops (it calls itself "the town of small shops" on some of its publicity literature)including the hiking one you mention. The pubs and cafes are regular watering holes at weekends for thousands of people who come out from Mancs/Leeds etc to walk on the surrounding hills. However, everything in my previous post is true (albeit written tongue in cheek) and none of it is intended to be negative.
