  • Pet hate, the assumption that because you drive a yeti you're a crumbly with a pipe and slippers. :p I'll get my coat. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

  • Take your pipe and slippers too!

  • Well my pet hate really is serious, I just hate getting out of it after a run about somewhere. The comfort, ride and the fun to drive makes you just want to stay with it all day long.....

Do you mean 'Scotch'?

..... but then surely you should call him 'Welsh'? ;)

Well according to the Urban Dictionary sotch means:

(n.) One who accomplishes nothing throughout the day other than sitting on the couch, eat food, sleep, and other such redundant activities.

hehehe :giggle:

 Sums me up to a "T".

In an earlier thread I wrote this "Sotch... sorta cross between the shortened version of Susquatch and, er of course, Sotch and Skoda.

The former is a US Yeti; and the latter is my favourite tipple.

My Yeti pet hate is not having one any more. I do miss that car it was excellent.

However when I owned it, my pet hate was the side windows getting really mucky in grotty weather.

Miss having you around too.....

That's cool Mike, thanks!

I will become a Skoda owner again on Saturday, not as exotic as a Yeti, but a rather tidy, used Roomster will be on the drive then. B)

I look forward to trying to tag along as a passenger, when you go for the next bit of green laning.

So I guess another pet hate, not being on here as much!!

Welcome in advance then, back to the 'fold'.

No problems Nigel. Will let you know and give you a bell.

The things I don't like are:

1) Not enough "kick" to the edges of the wing mirrors

2) No heated windscreen on mine

3) No auto on mine

4) The need to faff about with the SD card to make the stereo usable

That said I do adore my Yeti overall - it's the best car I've owned (or had regular access to) and if there's an auto CR170 when it's time to change (work requires I have a car less than four years old) I'll very likely get one.

I love the Yeti.

I hate the ineffective windscreen wipers - not the auto function - just their poor wiping ability.

Mine work as well as any I have ever had!

Reading other member's posts about their Yetis (Your Yeti pet hate?) when we're still waiting for ours!! :giggle:

Has anyone mentioed the lack of a place to put the filler cap when putting fuel in yet?

On my Nissan you can hang the cap on the back of the fuel flap, so it's within reaach of the tether.

:giggle: No, because there are special little cut outs in the cap so that it perfectly sits in top of the fuel door when open.............. :giggle:

It works something like this:

And in this image on the left bottom you see the little cut outs:

Ah.

Classic case of RTFM then. :giggle:

Yep.... :giggle: You will find these cut outs on all VAG car fuel caps.

That's even worse. We own three Skodas and it really annoyed me that none of them had a place for the filler cap. :dull:

Well now you know they have.

Yep - and only appears twice in the manual (page 14 and 201.....) !!

Don't worry - I thought I had dodgy front fog lights as they kept coming on in reverse - why o why is that feature?

It is part of the cornering (fog)lights and is designed to show you what the front might be swinging into.

I have noticed the xenon headlights can flicker some times on rough roads, I think the lights are vibrating in the housing causing this, does anybody elses do this?

I've not noticed it in the yeti, but my octavia vrs used to look like it was flickering on rough roads, I think its down to the self levelling.

The idiotic speedo- why no 30MPH? It can tell me I am doing speeds that the Yeti would not achieve if dropped out of a bloody plane but not if I am doing the built up area speed limit. Ditto with others- not in car now but 50 and 70 missing too I think ?
