been down the garage for a couple hours trying to work out how im going to run this pipework for the twinpass. I dont really want to start cutting my car up and mashing up the crash bar. So with a little help from a birdie, and a bit of drilling spot welds i come up with a Forge Crash bar!! haha!

Drilled out and wacked with a hitting stick..

IMAG1827.jpg

one side done and i can get my hand down there...

IMAG1828.jpg

Span it over and done same the other side. There are 2 spot welds you cant get to (1 on each side) so you need to anny the neighbours a bit with some very loud banging till it brakes.. Once there all free and with a bit of wiggling and jiggling you end up with this..

IMAG1829.jpg

which allows you to do this!

yeh, i dunno why i didnt think of it! lol

did you use oil resistant hose for the catch can ? and are they the creation motorsport hoses youve filled your bay with ?

  • Author

yes mate corse i did ! lol The bits with CM on are from Creation MotorSport.. Cannot praise them enough for the service they gave. The other bits of silicone are from ASH. Again, top boys they are.

Gee which relay do I remove to stop the SAI pump its driving me bloody mad !

The relay with 100 writen on it in the relay box up on the bulkhead - where Gee has his catch can fitted now.

So im hoping today is the last of the back braking stuff! It dawned on me whilst looking at a couple of my pics that i had done my catch can piping wrong! After a quick call to a buddy to confirm i had been a tit i went do do it right this time! lol

I also fitted my resistors that finally arrived, Got rid of the solid vac line for the servo as it was getting on my breasts touching my new shiny catch can, Sprayed and fitted my S3 strut brace, detailed the bulk head (quickly) and some little bits to make it look a bit neater.

looking mean..

IMAG1866.jpg

catch can looking better now the solid vac pipes gone..

before..

after

random shiny servo and painted green cap..

IMAG1867.jpg

Relocated N75 as it was to close to the balk head with the taller TIP in place.

IMAG1863.jpg

Painted the Pipe joiners as there were white and looked shart.

IMAG1859.jpg

Fitted the resisters for the deleted N valves.

IMAG1856.jpg

Engine bay looking neater after re doing some pipes.

IMAG1873.jpg

As i say, just waiting for the IC pipes and J clips now and she should be back on the road!

thanks for the complements. :) Its depressing me not being able to drive it!

iv been depressed at not driving my rs turbo for over 6 years now, so until u get to that sort of time frame, im gonna struggle to have any real sympathy haha

on the plus side, my brother in law bought a mk2 focus rs today, with a few cheeky bits done to it, and running between 370 and 400bhp, and i got thrown the keys to go have a play, so iv had my fix of mental fwd turbo fun for a while :D

that diesel bora bay does look pretty fresh tho, might have to give my bay some attention after all!
