CitiGo-Go, a Citigo with more Go.

Featured Replies

I just read that before seeing this! Will your Yeti's friend be getting the Shark treatment? I know you use Jabba but I presume you won't want to give them more work that might slow down the CitiGo project.

It was my birthday earlier this week, but I didn't get my Yeti anything - you've made me feel guilty now :giggle:

  • Update time.           Waiting on clutch and driveshafts for final assembly of mechanical bits to the drivetrain.

  • Actually my Yeti is done. Until we move to phase two this winter and fit a 2.0tsi.   While progress on the Citigo is slow it will be done one way or another by the end of the year, in time for meet

  • Yes.   One painted Citigo 4x4 shell and plans made for the next stage. Rebuild basics to allow for the loom to be made are being done over the next two weeks. Then a motorsport electrical speciali

No need to go crazy on a cage!

The last thing you want to be doing is rolling it :o

Don't Audi fit all their engines longitudinally?  Will it be possible to take drive from a TT engine mounted the other way round?  I'm wondering if it would be easier to start with a Golf 4Motion.

No most of Audi engines are also transverse (including the TT)

Richard have you thought about doing a season or two in a full race series? (I doubt the Citygo will be eligible)

I just spent a long time reading this thread. .. Needless to say I dont venture out the fabia thread much.

Reading I thought. 2012 .. ive well missed this thread. But it'sstill ggoing to take forwver lol

hurry up and get it done !!! :P

It will be epic !

The Ciyyo would be elligible for time attack though.  You know you can do a one hit wander in any of the Time attack weekends!!!!

No he won't...................

What he will do is fit a small radio receiver to the engines ECU and mount a small radio transmitter in his car.. When he sees you going faster than him he will press the transmitter  (or even do it over a wi-fi phone app) & this will initiate a series of cuts in the sparks (like a rev limiter), you will think that you have a fuel stutter/starvation issue with nothing showing up when you do a VCDS scan in the pits which will lead to much confusion.......... :wall: .................

Luke.......I'm not giving you ideas.......................honest......... :bandit: ..............

He could just put the original engine back in  :giggle:

I hope you have asked them to fit a twist knob on the dash that says 'power' and goes all the way up to 11 :giggle:

sounds like you actually put a lot of thought into that! ;) hahahaha

A few of the kitcar guys do sprints which are quite cost effective as racing goes, usually an old airfield somewhere, or even Goodwood if you fancy it. I'm sure there's probably some class or another you'd fit into. Be a scream embarassing some of the knobs that participate

There are a few GTROC/Porsche Club ones in 2014, with a field of GT-Rs, Skylines and Porsches.

That could be interesting using the Citigo in the "guest class".

Would love to see the look on their faces if you ever did it.

Sounds good, if you need a support crew, changing wheels, checking brakes etc, happy to pack a few tools up and come along.

Well I think I've ended up as GTROC rep for the Essex area during 2014 so I'll be able to sneak the Citigo along to a few meets and track days.

There are a few Sprints too.

Ground crew welcome.

Post the dates up sir, I am sure I can be there as unofficial photographer
