A Skoda Fabia S2000 Evo 1 bonnet! Upon further investigation I've found out that this was on the car of Patrik Sandell




I couldn't wait so I installed it with my mate during this afternoon just to check if all fits ok and get an idea of the future final result. It does need some tlc but nothing that can't be easily fixed.





Will keep you posted with the progress. I can't wait to see the final result, nice to have some racing heritage on the car

What are you going to do about the colour, I think it would be great all in black.

Looks a lot better than the Ford Ka I saw this morning with a HUGE air scoop in the bonnet (which was black and the rest of the car was purple).

I saw a listing on ebay from Baumschlager Rallye & Racing http://www.brr.at/cms/baumschlager_rallye_racing_de.html a while a go and after some back and forth with the manager we made a deal and I simply placed an order. They got some other bits and pieces online http://stores.ebay.at/baumschlagerrallyeracing but the bonnet was the one that caught my eye. Probably the hardest to get but maybe now that Evo1 is in the past and Evo2 is the current runner more Evo1 bits will be up for sale.

The idea is, as others suggested, to paint it all black. Must remove unfortunately the locks and replace the mesh with a better looking one but overall it is in good condition so after a good paint job I bet it will look mint

Also I bet it is going to help with engine bay heat a lot!

With regards to the bonnet the terms "Evo1" and "Evo2" relate to the pre-facelift (Evo1) and facelift (Evo2) model. Between the two they got different Bonnet/Side Panels/Headlights/Mask/Spoiler.

So for example in your case the correct bonnet would be the Evo2 and it would sit just perfect on your vRS

Nah the rain will not be a problem but the engine bay will probably get dirty quicker.

It would be good on the vRS... That engine gets very hot !
