Yeah agree its awesome to watch the water just beading off the car. Recently tried meguiars ultimate wax with impressive results. Water beads up as well as the autoglym hd wax but meguiars is almost have the price and so far seems to be lasting well

Bloody raining now :rain: and i have to park on a side road at work. Through my office window i can see my paintwork getting splashed by lorrys with muddy puddle water grrrrrrrrrrr! :wall: . Think i will be out in the rain later hosing it down with clean tap water lol :bandit:

Rich git! Congrats on choosing the best and 3rd best colours of VRS emoticon-0148-yes.gif Looks a good job on the paintwork well done. Any thoughts on colour coding the chrome grill surround? I used to look at mine in some lights and angles I liked it in some I loathed it! Once colour coded I love it from all angles.

Like this: (don't want to post a pic in your thread, its for your 'bitch' only so just a link)

Guys how do you get your cloths / applicator pads clean afterwards? mine have been in the washer and they have come out practically as mucky and wax filled as when they went in. Does it need to be high temperature?

I wash them by hand with Fairy liquid

Then put them in the washing machine using liquid washing detergent

In work, we use micro fibre cloths to clean the tail of the helicopter as it gets dirty from the engine exhaust gasses. As you can imagine, they end up filthy as they are basically cleaning off soot. Car cleaning is a joy in comparison!

To clean them, we just bung them into the washing machine on a boil wash and then tumble dry them so that they become absorbent again.

476s is a better wax i feel.

If your needing glass sealant look at this its awesome.

I thought heat might be the key for cleaning em, im gonna have a crack at ChrisRS method fairy liquid hand wash then bung em all in the washing machine on as hot as it will go.

Cheers for all the tips guys.

Nice work. Think my record is around 30hrs in 3 days, on one car :)

No idea , clue required

a vRS.

Looks great! I really need to do mine but its going to have to wait until i move now so i can spend some time on it as i have to machine polish the rear bumper due to bird dirt etching the paint and me scuffing the hell out of it as a dropped one of my new 19kg speakers out the boot as i took it out ;(.

As for cleaning cloths, use a non softener detergent (i find powder better than liquid) and wash at 90c.

Sorry mate I couldn't help laugh as I'd been out there in the rain too- I've even ended up finishing cleaning my Octy in the garage before now when it's p*ssed it down just before I'd finished- really struck a chord..

Cheers Ian, just bought some stuff from them including the H2GO so should be brill based on what's been posted here by yourself and ChrisRS.

Had another thought.... anyone else use snowfoam- I find it brill for getting loads of crud off without effecting the polish before using shampoo and mit etc

Yeh John and Matt are good guys, i have 10 litres of it lol, i can do all glass in under 30 mins thats including removal of the sealant off the windows, its so easy to apply and you can get around 6-8 months from it.

as for snow foam i use nielsens powerfoam.

I use AG Sealant before Collinite but then I don't use any polish. I throw away the applicators but I wash all my microfibre towels without any trouble - low temp wash with a smidgen of washing powder.

I got the AG big Red Vallet Bag with loads of stuff in. It came with a load of cloths that are a bit stringy. I think AG call them Stockinettes but they are basically like webing. Does anyone use these and are they for applying or removal? It doesn't really give any instructions on what they are for.

There just fancy polishing rags really, some like em some dont :) use them to apply and a clean, thick microfibre to remove and buff for best results
