like dark hero says, material is £230 from one company and fitting by a separate company is £130. They said its £30 an hour and will take between 4-5 hours to fit so even on the top side it will only be £150

That's extremely cheap for a wrap and labour!

Admittedly the Nissan is bigger, but that was £2,000 for a complete balls up with added paint damage, then £1,700 for a good job including removing the first.

should be fine i think, seen some of the work the fitters have done as there only 2min up the road from me and it looks pretty good to be fair. As for the wrap thats still to be decided but they do say it last 7-10 years so can't be to bad of quality

Cool.

Just for info no wrap lasts more than three or four years in real world conditions.

The material might, but you get a small amount of shrinkage, dirt gets in the edges long term and they get holes from stone chips and stained by tar etc...

I had these issues with my yellow car, I figured the front at least would need doing every three years at the most.

Due to doing track days I'd have been doing the front yearly.

Just my opinion of course, I've never heard anyone claim it'll last 7-10 years.

After my car got screwed up by a wrapper I spent a fair while looking into it.

I'm just going off what they say in the advert for the vinyl boss, like you say though it probably wont last that long but knowing me I'd probably be bored with it by that point anyway lol

Can't wait to see what it looks like, good choice on artwork! :)

i know you guys like them white but I'm going to spray the wheels black tomorrow as white is just to much hard work to keep clean all the time. Will post some pics tomorrow. Hopefully it should work well with the wrap that's going to be done

Nice, are you going for a metallic black on the wheels?

just a gloss black, doing it myself with spray can lol

There are different grades of vinyl. Some last for 3-5 years and some 5-7. Vinyls can also last longer, printed or not, if a protective film is applied. It protects from dirt and scratches as well as uv rays and gets cut to the shape of the design. You don't know it's even there and comes in both gloss and matte finish. Will defo bring the cost up but the design will last a long time if taken care of.

Looks good! Have you thought about spraying the inners of the headlights?

  • Author

i have but I'm not quite sure how to do it

Looks good they play off the black spoiler nicely.

I'm hoping they will go well with the vinyl aswell :-)

Don't like the black, in the pics at least. The wheels are totally lost almost as if they aren't there! If you're going monster energy decals then maybe neon green wheels would have been a better choice. Then again that's just one mug's opinion (i.e. me) lol. I have been known to be wrong before...

well the cars going back to the body shop this Friday to sort out my biggest niggle with the car which is the window trims and I've also contacted a local spring company about having some custom shorter rear springs made, I'm thinking an inch or inch and a half shorter than the ap coilover spings

Good news :)

How do you plan on keeping the rear spring seated in the perches though?

Could be dangerous

i can either find some shockers an inch shorter or modify the shocker mount so it sits an inch lower than it does now which may be easier to do

Can you not get the springs made the same length but with a lower poundage?

would be worried about it bottoming out with softer springs as the ap springs hardley move as they are so should work better when shorter
