R u talking about the normal Speed Limit exceeded warning?

Or the Speed Limit exceeded based on Traffic Sign Recognition?

The two are different.

The first, is known as Speed Limit Set mode.  It's a fixed speed that u set it to, and when exceeded, while given u an acoustic and visual warning in the mfd cluster.

This has nothing to do with navigation or TSR.

All Superbs have this feature.

The second, as shown by @xpertbg above, is the TSR speed limit warning.  This one will give u an acoustic and/or visual warning when u have exceeded the detected speed sign.  U can set this between 0 and 20 km/h above the detected speed.

For this, u need TSR enabled.

Both r independent to each other, and serve different functions.

Hello,

I have some questions regarding VCDS coding:

1. It is possible to modify the speed activation of the high beam assist from adaptation via VCDS 19.6 for Skoda Kodiaq MY2018? I could not find the setting in A5 module.Maybe it is not yet available for it yet.

2. Rain sensor closing  activation: I have tried the steps that were presented :

1. Go into [09] Central Electronics

2. Go into Secuity Access and enter 31347

3. Go to adaptation channels and set the following:

- (15) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_ein aus (Rain Closing on / off) - Select Active

- (16) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_art (Rain closing Type) set to Permanent

- (28) Access Control 2 - Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen (Menu Control Rain close) – Set  to Active (enables the menu in the infotainment screen)

Coding the RLHS sensor by setting the Rain sensor active.

It is not working and the Admunsen infotainment does not show it.

3. What is the difference between the Light assistant and Dynamic Light assistant? In my Kodiaq with AFS led lights appear in the menu Light assistant.

4. Pedestrian assistant enable in the infotainment menu so it can be enable/disable:  I have add it from A5 module but I cannot be enable or disable it? Must also modify it somewhere else?

Thank you

1. Not possible.

2. Will NOT work.

3. Kodiaq does NOT have DLA option. Google the difference.

Thank you for the answer mtl.

Regarding point 3 I have found the difference between LA and DLA:

Dynamic Light Assist
A camera on the windscreen analyses the traffic ahead as well as oncoming traffic. On the basis of this data, the system automatically switches to main beam at speeds of more than 60 km/h and main beam remains activated without dazzling oncoming traffic. This improves the illumination of the carriageway and the roadside in twilight conditions and at night. Continuous main beam operation can therefore help in preventing accidents. In addition, Dynamic Light Assist offers significantly greater comfort as the driver’s eyes tire less quickly. Dynamic Light Assist is available in combination with xenon and LED headlights and Dynamic Cornering Light.

Light Assist
Light Assist is the basic variant of Dynamic Light Assist for models with headlights that do not feature Dynamic Cornering Light. Light Assist uses a camera in the windscreen to analyze the traffic ahead and oncoming traffic and automatically switches main beam on and off (from 60 km/h).

It is clear now.

Regarding point 2: Rain sensor is not working in general for MY2018 for closing the windows in case of rain?

Regarding point 4: My question was if the prevention detection can be added in the infotainment screen?

Thank you,

Alex

Skoda calls it Smart Light Assist (SLA), and only the Superb has this capability/option.

The mk3 facelift uses LED matrix to do the masking.

The mk3 uses rollers & shutters with the bi-xenons to do the masking.

High Beam Assist (HBA) automatically switches the high beams on/off.

p.s. mine (SLA) activates from 40 km/h or more.

Apparently it's country dependant.

Most countries r set to 60 km/h.

I don't know what the reasoning for that is.

I tried to activate this on my MY16 Superb. It enabled the menu option for rain closing the sunroof, and I have ticked the option to enable it, but as far as I can tell from my own simple testing using water on the sensor, it does NOT work. 😩

Rain Closing won't work, despite "coding" it, as long as u have the RLHS version sensor.

For rain closing to actually work, u need the RLFS or RLS version.

Intially models of the MK3 Superb had this version, and hence could work.

U can check which version u have by looking at ur scans, under 09-Central Electrics.

Hello guys,

Thank you for the answers.

I have another 2 questions for skoda octavia 3 FL:

1.Is it possible to activate: Driver alert?

If yes what are the step with vcds?

2. Off road information works for bolero? I saw on a fabia with bolero

The steps I know are:

Activate ‘Off Road’ display

Controller 5F (Information Electr.)

10 - Adaptations

Select channels:

(81)-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_compass: ACTIVATE
(83)-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_compass_over_threshold_high: ACTIVATE (this was already set to Activate on my L&K)
(41)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-compass_0x15: ACTIVATE

Thank you

Hi Alx,

fyi this is a Superb thread but no worries, I'm sure someone will be along with the answer

I've enabled off road display on my Superb, it's sometimes interesting to see your altitude but other than that it's just funny :D unless perhaps adding it to a 4x4 Karoq/Kodiaq but surely they already have it!

How did you do that?

I’ve tried 2-3 times, but never succeeded in my MY17 L&K...

Did you make a soft reset at the end? I have to say, I didn’t on each of my attempts... 🤔

Thanks for your answers

Adding off-road menu to Columbus & Amundsen
These functions are only available with the MIB2 (from MY 2016)
STG 5F information electronics 1
Access authorization: 20103 (if required)
Adaptation
Car_function_adaptions_gen3
Menu_display_compass
Set to "active"
Menu_display_comass_over_threshold_high
Set to "active"
Car_function_list_BAP_gen2
Compass_0x15
To "active"
The radio may have to be restarted afterwards to find the menu in the car-menu (press the power
button for 10 seconds)

I just followed the instructions on this thread for it. I’m not sure what you mean be a soft reset - if you mean a restart of the ignition I always do this after coding.

Mine is a 16 plate with the older Columbus with buttons either side of it.

A soft rest can be useful when coding anything to do with the infotainment system.

Ok, I’ll try again...

Thanks

Hello guys

1. I saw that this is the superb thread  but I see that here are more technical discussion for VCDS modification (on kodiaq less topic).

2. Regarding Off road information for Kodiaq is had it default but my question was for a skoda octavia FL which have the Bolero. I try it and tested for a skoda fabia  Mk3 with bolero and it was working and it have no navigation or gps antenna. Also on tiguan with no navi on it. It is just not enables after the above steps are made. What are the difference is that the compass in the off road display is not shown: only the tires angle, oil and the other pictures.

I have also try to activate the Driver alert or driver fatigue as the Kodi has but seems that the octavia in the CAN gateway module byte 17 is activated but the output test for driver alert gives me condition not correct: negative answer: 0x22 at the end.  I guess something else need to be activated.

3. My last topic would be the emergency flashing via hazard lights activation: I see that that default is activated the adaptation:

ENG141648-ENG116636-Aussenlicht_Heck-Notbremsanzeige NBA- active

Is this sufficient to have the hazard lights activated in case of an emergency (precondition: stop the car with a speed above 50km/h).

Shall we have also:

ENG141649-ENG122209-Außenlicht_Blinker-Notwarn_blinken_NBA_Phase_2
ENG141649-ENG121966-Außenlicht_Blinker-Crash flashing
ENG141649-ENG126819-Außenlicht_Blinker-Emergency_alert_blinken

active?

Thank you,

Alex

@Alx21 For Driver Alert or driver fatigue, you can't do it with VCDS, you need VCP... 😐

Hey!

Speedy question from Finland!

Do anyone know, what would be security access to channel 13, auto dist. Reg.?  Its MY2017

Sorry, i should wrote those on first poll. But yeah, i ve tried these three codes:

14117

91153

89531

I only have 14117

What interface are you using?

What interface are you using?

Hex-Can Rosstech, newest full VCDS 19.6

That maybe the issue then, after 2015 the HEX+CAN is limited to what controllers it will fully work on.

HEX-V2 and HEX-NET are the latest interfaces that work on all controllers.

Okey, didnt know that. I try find newer cable!

+1, I have the same code for module 13.

I have a HEX-V2 cable.

Did you try 31347? May be 🤔?
