Worth reflecting as President Biden is officially sworn into office that he won with 24% of American voters wishes (80 million) beating Donald Trump who polled 22% of the cast votes (74 million). Democracy is a funny thing when 2% is the difference between the winner and the loser. 52% to 48% sounds like a bigger margin then back in 2016.

ignoring the whole "how many citizens arent eligible to vote"  element to make that number up shy... eg if you have been to prison in the states you dont get a vote. how many people have been in prison.. how many people are under 18 etc etc... can say the same thing about every country's votes and referenda.

 

 

little lord trumpington is gone, his nuclear football codes erased the moment Biden finished his oath of office. he claims he'll back in some way, but either all the legal issues will end that or he'll get bored and go play golf. even if he did contest 2024 it would be as an independent because he wont get out the GOP primaries for a nomination - too many bridges been incinerated.

only 239million americans are eligible to vote and 158million cast a ballot. or about 66.1% turnout. which is decent in any election, not to mention in a pandemic. stop using terribly inaccurate numbers...

Meh! He's an old blow-hard, but he didn't seem to do such a bad job.

Most people's delight at his departure seems to be they just don't like the guy. Which is fair enough.

I'm not actually sure what he did that was so disastrous, all things considered.

He did a few good things for 'Amuricans' of a certain disposition, but the amount of damage he did to the standing of his country on the World stage is staggering. He is also a man who lives in complete and utter denial of the truth and facts surrounding him. A faker, a narcissist, a misogynist, a racist, a bankrupt, definitely a blow-hard, a bully, a homophobe (or LGBQT-phobe whatever the correct term is) and to be honest,  a man of relatively low intellect. Apart from that, he's ace!
