Has anyone changed out the turning light bulbs for an LED type? I'm hoping to find out if it was difficult and what make is the bulb?

Yes. If I understand correctly you're referring to the fog lights, that most in this thread have replaced.

I used these from a UK online seller:

https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/h8-twenty20-cree-led-12v-canbus-foglight-bulb.html

Brightness and colour is a great match for the Xenons and DRLs, but the beam pattern is a little high. I worry they could be dazzling in the Winter, but I'm keeping them under review for the moment. I rarely use front foglights and really only wanted to change them because the aesthetics of having the horrible dull yellow standard lights appear on cornering irritated me.

Great, thanks. They're the front fogs alright but they also come on automatically when cornering/turning...

Vety easy to do. Took less than 10 min for both. The manual has the instructions

Hi,

i’ve had a scan through and couldn’t find if anyone had done or asked this before....

I’d like to install the genuine Skoda license plate LED’s on my S3. The eBay ad for the items mentions coding? Can anyone confirm this? If so who near to Nottingham can help out with some coding?

Genuine Skoda License Plate LED

thanks

beam from these will be so much different than from stock halogens,
LEDs must be as small as possible.

also we don't need LEDs on the top of bulb, only side emission

check how is designed "benchmark", Philips

Thank you, is it possible to send me a valid link for the fog lights.

Thanks in advance

@New2018 The ones for the turn signal you posted are not ok. Light is not strong enough compred to the original ones. Also with these you will have an error on the dash. I took these ones and they work like charm:

http://s.aliexpress.com/eUR36nMN

For the fog lights i used this one :

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/HLXG-2Pcs-Mini-6000K-4300K-Yellow-9000LM-CSP-H3-H4-LED-H7-Car-Headlight-52W-Fog/32819067221.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.71ef4c4dyNCWvA

I choose the 4300k - because i wanted to have the same light temperature as the xenons - and the combination is great for me. The only cons is that they do not dim like the normal ones - but go on and off instantly. First i tried 6000k - but there was much of a difference compared to the xenons - and having in mind that i changed the fog bulbs because of this difference (xenon compared the OEM halogen bulb) - i decided to order new ones - this time 4300k. Now everything is great - the same light temperature, no errors on the dash, great light power and great look.

@simichoil thank you, just to confirm the figment type is H8?

@New2018 Fog lights - Yes - H8.

Please consider what exactly look you want to have - when choosing the light temperature. 4300 is 1:1 with the oem xenons.

@simichoil I’’m going for the same one as yours and temperature, thanks again. I take it they bright enough?

@New2018 Bright more than enough :) You will stay surprised of the brightness level they provide.

Thanks, awaiting delivery for the lights from Aliexpress.

I forgot to add LEDs for the doors warning lights. Can anyone recommend some?

I bought a extra set of these but I take it these won’t wotk underneath the door as the housing look different.
http://s.aliexpress.com/BVV32yiM

In a contrary post, bought a set of these from AliExpress

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/18-1210-SMD-LED-Courtesy-Lamp-LEDs-Side-Door-Light-DC-12V-White-for-VW-Golf/32703753282.html

Absolutely terrible.   The light from them is pink, not red and not massively different from the stock incandescent in terms of luminance

image.png.dfcac59c0ad65f5fcb6f31abc811a099.png

They also have a single PCB at 45 degree angle so the LEDs only partially illuminate the red plastic area and dont give a diffused look.  Three out of four rattled and the pcb is held only by the two plug pins  extending from the socket to the board and wedged into the plastic housing.  Worth considering before purchase the LED layout - some I've seen have two pcbs which are probably better for light distribution rather than a single inclined one

I didn't follow the install instructions...

@nodigital those look like the ones I bought initially and they were terrible… miles away from OEM and horrible light bleed at the edges etc.

I got these instead and they are pretty much identical to the originals… maybe a little brighter (with the same bulb fitted):

@New2018 those ones will replace the footwell and boot lights... with a little force

Thanks for that. Am I missing something, why diddid you replace them with something that has the bulb/brightness? I’m hoping for for something much brighter or with LED

I wasn’t looking for anything brighter… I was adding them to the rear doors. You can use LED or standard bulbs and the same bulb looks a little bit brighter in the replacement unit. Same colour, light spread and fit though. I also used the units you bought to add rear footwell lights.

Oh ok makes sense now.

Adding the lights the rear doors is  something I need to do too. Is it quite complicated to do? I only got reflectors at the moment.

If you just want something brighter then grab some high output w5w LED bulbs.

Big thanks to @MartiniB and @przemoka
