A lot of people just hate it because they think they should not because it's bad.

I think it's getting better every week.

They need to do something about that stupid star in car segment but other than that it's already better than the childish Clarkson crap.

  • No one.   Just leave it to Chris Harris, Sabine and Rory.   No need for doing stupid things and blowing up stuff. That's what Clarkson, Hammond and May do and you are never going to replicate the

Much better, Chris toned down (or was he used less?). It's watchable now - less cringing...

Much improved, and yes I think they are using Chris less in that episode.

Pretty much liked all the bits - Star section is a complete waste of time again, need to drop it IMO.

Really enjoyed the Ken Block piece - although fairly pointless, I do appreciate his skills though.

I didn't used to mind the SIARPC section - at its best it was a very strong segment with Clarkson having a knack of getting the inner petrolhead to talk cars quite intimately, particularly when the star in question was a real petrolhead. The Jay Leno interview springs to mind, although there were many more

The new version just seems excruciating with a kind of fake gameshow format of "best first car" etc etc like some crappy playground game, after some long non-car related preamble that invariably involves some celeb peddling whatever crap they're currently appearing in. The only stars I need to see in TG were the Ferrari, Audi and Focus RS in the features...

and clearly more than a little nuts.

I quite liked the Ken Block bit, nonsense but car related nonsense. I see the bit at the Cenotaph was sensibly left on the cutting room floor.

I think Ken was playing the 'evil driver' bit hence chucking coins at the bloke on the piano.

I was thinking about the whole Daily Mail driven fuss over the Cenotaph as the Ken Block piece went out, and I was thinking how, had it been left in, would it really have even been noticed if last night was the first we saw of it? I don't think so. Bearing in mind that the Cenotaph, far from being in some leafy enclave but rather stranded in the middle of a very busy main road, would hardly have been noticed amongst all the tyre smoke. I thought that was a big fuss about nothing stoked up by the Daily Mail et al as yet another oppotunity to attack the BBC. See also Sachsgate.

Much better than Ep 1. Didn't bother with Ep 2.

Matt seems rather embarrassed to be given the leader role in the studio, but in the absence of the BBC acknowledging Evans is a hindrance, dumping him and giving Matt the Captain's Chair, I reckon it's as good as it's going to get.

The only shout at the telly moment for me was when CE called the Audi "she" three times in 15 seconds. It's not a female, it's a MACHINE. They DON'T HAVE GENDER. Idiot.

Tg is much better for this.       Wish Evans would stop the puking up bit on camera, not pleasant.     Besides he seems to be phasing himself out of the lead role now and the programme is much better for it.  Mrs Shmidtz, M Le B and Chris Harris looking like to be  the future front men of the show now, I hope.

I think it was so much better, as the ginger whinger wasnt in it much, all he did was be sick. Much better to give the others the segments... all the others actually produce entertaining viewing, I enjoyed the RS segment, the Chris block segment, but didnt like the R8 due to CE killing it, he cant deliver a full sentence while driving, it always pans out to cinematic car angles while he talks. stars in the car, was good this week, funny guests and only 2 thank god!

I agree it went down hill, but his books are really funny and if you're on his wavelength, he can be really good. If you're not, you'll just think he's crap.

I watch it for the cars, not the personalities

If I wanted constant belly laughs I'd watch a Lee Mack DVD, not Top Gear

Really?? Lee Mack?? I dont find him funny at all... John Bishop on the other hand :D

SIARPC was ****e, even though I'm a big AJ fan I fast forwarded it. Chris Evans is ruining it for me

Episode 3 was a vast improvement. SIARPC was utter garbage as usual so fast-forwarded that. If they ditched LeBlanc and Evans and continued with Chris Harris / Sabine and the chap who did the focus RS piece it would be a far more watchable show!

Good so far but what did Sabine say in German about Stiggy?

We're not allowed to kitten tell you! ;)

Who were the "stars"? No really, I have never heard of either of them before.

Anthony Joshua was the taller one. He's an MBE, current IBF World Heavyweight boxing champion, and won gold for Britain at the 2012 London olympics in the super heavyweight division. Don't know who the little guy was, but he had a very big mouth.

At least the little guy was having a laugh at his own expense. Too many of these "celebrities" spend most of their waking hours either looking in the mirror or with their head up their @rse. And sometimes both at the same time.

He's a fairly big US comic

However according to Wikipedia he's got a DUI charge, so maybe not the best person for a driving show. I did think he was quite funny.

Evans is saying the viewing figures were over 6 million against last weeks figure of 2.8 and this weeks 2.4 million.

I think they might get 6 million if Evans wasn't on the show.

If we delve deep enough they've probably all got a skeleton in the cupboard at some time or other

It's up against the football which seems like a bit of a silly move considering their target audience.

Episode 3 was a significant improvement; I particularly enjoyed the Ferrari and Focus RS pieces probably because neither Evans or Le Blanc were in them! I like Anthony Joshua so also enjoyed that segment, especially when the results were announced and he had whooped the gobby American's tiny butt!

And am I alone in finding Sabine hot??? She could take me sideways any day!

I've mentioned it before on here but It would appear drink driving is acceptable on TG

He confesses that he has himself been caught driving under the influence. ‘Twice, I think,’ he offers without any duress. ‘When I was young and stupid. I wasn’t driving fast, just crooked. The press never got hold of the mugshots. I was lucky.’

Depends on how you want to take it. Maybe he deserves a 2nd chance. But I still don't think it projects a great image.

TG need to get rid of Evans and LeBlanc and be something different to old TG. With their existing viewer numbers they could have had anyone as presenters rather than two famous people who aren't brilliant but we'll know.

I rather think VBH is on to the point
