Did they fall off the back of an ATS lorry?:tongueout:

“Fixed” the rattle coming from the back seat and filled the tank.

Created a template for a plotter cutter and made a PPF sheet to protect the trim around the gear leaver.  Needs a very minor tweak to the dimensions but otherwise an almost perfect fit and all but invisible.

Took my 17 plate estate to be checked for corrosion coming through on the tailgate just below plate.

only had the car a few months so wasn’t sure it may have accident damaged before, body shop reckon not so awaiting warranty approval.

not good for 2 year old car.

Fitted new rear brake pads.

I could have got another 10k miles out of them easily but that would mean doing the job in February when it’s cold !

Smart thinking, I intended to do likewise and yours is a timely reminder.

Had a go at the pollen filter today to see how easy it is to refit the damper. I didn't change it, car has done 5800 miles so far so not necessary. I tipped out a bit of debris and tapped out some dust but it was pretty clean.

Refitting the glove box is a bit of a faff, I found it much easier popping open the side access panel and using a screwdriver to snap the damper back on once the glove box was all clipped back in and relocated.

I've also done my Daughters on her Seat Leon FR, and annoyingly although its very similar they have made easy provision for changing the filter and the damper does not have to be removed or disconnected. Much better setup to be honest.

No pics sorry. Probably been covered before plenty of times.

Interior valet today, she smells lovely again.

Picked my new to me MK3 up from the dealers in Colchester and drove it home, now wondering why cruise control is not working, it was when i test drove it.

Might drive it to work tomorrow and plug it in and see if i get any codes.

Got new tyres, 245/35/19 Falken Azenis FK510. Half the price of a Michelin and they hook up just as well but arent quite the same in the corners. They rub a little on harsh bumps though which is a shame, I never had any problems with 235/35/19s on the same rim.

Got my tuning box from DTUK yesterday and fitted it in the morning. Piece of cake to fit, took only 10-15 minutes and noticed the improvement in power delivery straight away.. Very pleased with he results.

Not today but in the last month I've had a full service, DSG service, 4 x new uniroyal rainsports and new discs and pads on the front!

Its the 3.5mm increase in diameter of the 245 tyre compared to the 235, tyre profiles are measured as a % of the tyre's width therefore, increasing the width increases the sidewall which reduces the arch gap.

Would seem the O3 allows you to go to a 235 but, 245 is just a touch too much

Was about to give it a wash, but the plan changed. Might do it later or tomorrow.

Looked at it, decided it needed a wash.

Turned out outside tap, pipe is leaking as it comes down the outer wall of the house.

Went and sat back down inside.

Poor thing will get a bath before winter eventually.

Didn't actually do anything to an Octy yet, i havn't got one , but have looked at loads for sale. Got to rest the eyes before starting again.

Took it to the city of York in the beautiful Yorkshire weather (23C).
