Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update

Recommended Posts

Well unfortunately and after updating my AMUNDSEN2 no improvement or even worse, a real fault with my screen which has become far too dark and with too low a brightness (even fully in the settings)

I can hardly see what is displayed in the middle of the day and, almost nothing in the event of the sun = I am sad and disappointed. 😔

Is there a way to go back please? 🤔

EDIT: error on my part, the screen brightness is in a mneu which is not concerned with "mood lighting" but by the "screen" menu so I was wrong, and I finally managed to set my screen correctly (sorry double post but not found how edited the first one) good evening

Based on my experience, update to 0480 for Amundsen units seems to remove patch for using non original SD card for maps. No other issues noticed.

Do you have original Skoda SD card or not? If not, you need to get one to have navi back working or patch the unit again. If you have original card, no quick hint.

Happy New Year to all here. Really nice to see such an active community of Skoda owners/drivers and support here.
Looking if there is an update available for my system. It seems that @pab567is a real expert and specialist.

Pls see attached

Thanks in advance

I don't think so... download link on PM

Is the SD card original? hae you unpacked files directly to the root of SD?

The card is not original. Trying it on a regular Sandisk SD card. I've put the files on the card like they are on the original. Using MacOS.

Should I erase the original card and then put the files on it?

You need an original SD card for a factory/stock Amundsen to load the nav data :)

It checks the CID and if that doesn't match, it won't work. There are a few SD cards where you can change the CID to match an original card but there are quite rare, it's certainly easier to grab the correct card.

I have the original one, will try to erase and put the new data on it. Hopefully it works :)

Thanks
