Hello to all. I have one question for You. Just had anual services. Have Skoda Kodiak FL from 2022 with MIB3. Only 2 usb-c have in front. Do not have sd card in box. My question is, after services, they have update my Amundsen to SW 330. Before that it was SW308. I have never paid for extra subscrption after first year. Last subscription expire at half od 2023 year. I just have downloaded from skoda portal last navigation maps for my VIN number car. It says it " OI_P129_EU_202448_Offline_Update.zip ". I have formated usb-c stick 128gb to exFat and extracted zip content ti stick...no folder from zip file but all content from that unziped folder to stick and plug it to car. Is it going to update my navigation maps from nav.base 23.2 to newer or not ? Do I have to pay sam subscription so I can update or I do not have to pay anything ?

Sorry for my bad english !!! I hope you will uderstand me what I am asking you.

Thanks to all !

  • Update OI_P119_EU_202425_Offline_Update.zip contains data from 23.12 (YY.MM). You can check this for example in the MIB31_EU.ROOT/3D/PRODUCT.NDS file. This is a SQLite database, you can find this

  • I successfully opened the MIB31_EU.ROOT/3D/PRODUCT.NDS file in DB Browser for SQLite.

You don't have to pay anything. MartiniB top post should be the current which tallies with what you have downloaded from what you said. Formatting, getting it in the route directory unzipped and suitable. Yes should install after a period. The only issues are technical issues if usb a to c adaptors are used. Formatting and generally messing it up. It can take a couple of hours or a couple of days... you check the information screen to see whether it's been updated to the map release mm.yy as MartiniB posted. That changes and you know it's done.

Map update just finished. Before it was nav.base 23.2 and now it is 24.6. But as I can see, for my city, ther was big shoping center already in function and on new maps ther is nothing. Shoping center was start to build in february of 2024.

Little bit disapointed.

Can take a year or so if digitised to arrive. Herewego app shows current live data so you can always cross check. You can always join the Mapcreator programme.

Update- i also found that wifi-hotspot also not working its their but cant turn it on (not greyed), so will this issue connected to the navigation database version missing issue?

Hello everyone,

Since there is no navigation in my country, I downloaded the necessary file for my country from the link on the first page, extracted it from the zip, uploaded it to USB and plugged it into the vehicle as USB-C. I activated the update by holding down the menu button and the screen turned off and on again. Didn't anything change after this step? Isn't the file in the link a map?

When I enter my vehicle's WIN number, Skoda Update says no content found for the WIN number. How can I get the map? Where am I making a mistake?

Which country are you from?

What is your vehicle's name and model year?

What is your infotainment system name? or simply share photo of it

For what it's worth I think there are mib3 units sold without navigation outside of "Europe" they seem to have turned up on Seat boards. They are a bit like the old mib2s that never had navigation built in called media units from memory, if it's one of them you are stuck. As per the question above... the next question these guys then ask is for a firmware update 🫣.

The old SSPs that covered mib2 units covered them, suspect if there is an SSP in mib3 you'd see them.

What should I do? Can you give me some advice?

You need to check the infotainment unit model to see whether it was built with satnav. No satnav and you won't get it. Even if it has you may well find it can't be activated without a dealership. Some files and modules about turning US into EU or vice versa. Leaked files reported here. I get the impression that little head way has been made but if they have its on other forums. It's all locked down with encryption as it never was in mib2.

As it happens a Turkish guy is posting on Seatcupra like you. Seems the cars are sold prepped for navigation. You need to check with a retrofitter. Probably for legal reasons they don't come with the map enabled. In there case a retrofitter enabled it. They were irritated that the dealer had one on display with nav but sold without. Seems common. You need the navigation FeCs activated if that's the case.

Durum buysa navigasyon FeC'lerinin etkinleştirilmesi gerekir.

I have received information that this is exactly the case. So how can I activate this FeC? I want to do it myself.

Thanka for your answer.

Think I'll pass on that question... they use ODIS which is the Vag system so you find somebody to do it for you. It's like the early days of mib2 high where modifying the firmware was something that you had to pay someone to do. The impression I get now is the boxes are much better locked down. Previously mib2 highs they put on the bench and rattled through a sequence of passwords to get into them. There is no reason why entry to the boxes system isn't SLA protected as the rest of the firmware, maps and radio logos. Which has a high level of protection, they just didn't put that on the backend in mib2 highs why they got hacked by retrofitters and hobbyists. Then the mib2 poi import was found not to be locked down in any form by placing code after the import. That spored all of the toolboxes. If you see mib3 toolboxes then you will know they have cracked it. Otherwise it's paying someone to use the official systems. It could be they have found how to access the backend, if so they didn't provide very good security to stop retrofitters tinkering.

This one BTW

https://github.com/jilleb/mib3-toolbox

Is a place marker without any code so I surmise no GitHub projects. The guy who I believe I located on Briskoda says he's retired now and the Google doesn't turn up anything now:

https://www.google.com/search?q=mib3+toolbox+github&client=firefox-b-m&sca_esv=214c5f27b0d18acb&sxsrf=AHTn8zoB9LCNRpM-JZLTEsv_oMDPEpTm-g%3A1742939497500&ei=aSXjZ6KhHsilhbIPlK2qmQs&oq=mib3+toolbox+github&gs_lp=EhNtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1zZXJwIhNtaWIzIHRvb2xib3ggZ2l0aHViMggQABiABBiiBDIIEAAYgAQYogQyBRAAGO8FMgUQABjvBTIFEAAY7wVIwU5QvA5YnkFwAngBkAEAmAGGAaABvAaqAQM1LjO4AQPIAQD4AQGYAgqgAtEIwgIKEAAYsAMY1gQYR8ICBhAAGBYYHsICCxAAGIAEGIYDGIoFwgIFECEYoAHCAgcQIRigARgKmAMAiAYBkAYIkgcDMy43oAfJJLIHAzEuN7gH_Qc&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-serp

So I reckon the hobbyists are out of it now.

@MartiniB it's come to pass that the Skoda link for the Golf region has a CRC zip error in it using 7zip to unzip.

# Gulf Region    1.9 Gb
 VW portal:   https://navigation-maps.volkswagen.com/vw-maps/MRM1_AGCC_12PR119_CT3W-23131_Offline_Update.tar

                         2.8 Gb

Škoda portal:   https://infotainment-cdn.skoda-auto.com/base/maps/OI_P129_MRM_AGCC2_202448_Offline_Update.zip

I have advised that they use the VW older link. There isn't a revised Skoda one under a new title file by any chance ?.

@Tell

i haven't downloaded them all, as backup i can share only these

Thanks. I think they can try the one 6 months before that you had listed and may be circa June there will be a new one. Hopefully.

It was the Golf states that they were after. I wonder in anycase whether it's a used import European car and if so it would be the holly grail of changing the navigation FeC, so the maps wouldn't be much good without that changed. That's currently a job for a retrofitter.

yes, it gets an error each and every time i unzip no matter i change the computer....do you have link for India? which doesn't get me a CRC error?

Why I was asking @MartiniB incase his methods had found another file updated but I guess, when and if it's corrected it will have the same filename. So hasnt been corrected. The file sits on Skoda servers and they have a history of messing up the manufacture of zip files. They probably sorted out the European one but haven't got round to this one. There is the VW one to try that's listed. All being well come June, Skoda or Vag will have the summer release. Have to wait and see.

Here we go again I have map version 24.6 in my Kamiq , which i installed some time about Sept last year. Works fine.

I must of course say I am in Australia so is a 2Gb file loaded From a USB C stick Normally takes about 20 min with no visible action

Now there is a week 48 map on both the Skoda and VW portals and I have downloaded both and tried to install them into the car.

Nothing happens ever Have tried several sticks and both the maps and nada nothing.

On looking through the files in the map they are all dated 6/24 and I wonder if this is still the June map I already have because I know that an identical map version will not load over itself.

Unfortunately I dont have the June map to compare any more.

Map iterations I note the versions are done as year xx and month x or xx so 24.6 then 24.12

Had troubles like this a while ago and was similar in that the maps were same version.

Anyone have any ideas Martin ????
