  3. @square12464 ? where has the 75,000 miles come from??? Just a salesperson without a clue who never showed you that in writing. The manufacturers Advice, Recommendations, Spec, Schedule is at 80,000 miles on a DQ381. And Dealerships say oil filter at 2nd service. Both things are crazy if you have a car that you own and is a keeper. ** Ask that same Salesperson about a VAQ Diff and when that is due a service. See if they say 30,000 miles / 3 years, or 20,000 / 2 years (Mk4) or if they even know what it is. Brake fluid @ 3 years, or now at 2 years, do they know that is the Manufacturers schedule. Does AI.?

  5. As far as I’m aware this is not possible on the newer facelift models.
  6. Does anyone know if the auxiliary pump C situated behind engine block is the same part as the one situated by the oil filter got a P26f9 code up on my Skoda Octavia and I’ve changed the wrong pump because Skoda said I only had 2 pumps and now I know I’ve got 3. 2020 plate 2.0 TDI

  9. If your battery is a EFB+ the internal resistance 7.4 mohm seems a little high. Ideally should be around 4-4.5 ish mohm
  10. If you listen to your car dealer, you will end up visiting the service center more frequently after the warranty expires—precisely because you followed their advice. The transmission manufacturer specifies an oil change every 60,000 km (or 43,000 miles). A service performed at a shop lacking the proper oil-changing machine is incomplete; if the transmission oil is simply drained, refilling it leaves you with a mix of 75% new oil and 25% old oil containing all the accumulated impurities. Still, even that kind of service is 75% better than doing nothing at all.

Hey everyone! 👋 I’m looking for some advice regarding an OCU update on my Škoda Superb Combi 2021. After updating my MIB3 infotainment system from 0270 → 0308 → 0330, I started experiencing an SOS button issue — the light turned red. To resolve this, I attempted to update the OCU from 0035 to 0143. The update appeared to complete successfully, and the SOS issue was resolved: the light turned green again. ✅ However, when checking the software version in OBDeleven, it still shows 0035. I’ve checked several times to make sure the information was refreshed correctly. Additionally, I’m now getting a new warning: “Check Software Version Management.” My OCU details: Software part number: 5WA 035 284 B Hardware part number: 5WA 035 284 Original software version: 0035 Expected software version after update: 0143 For the update, I used the package OCU3_5WA035284__SWUP_package_3G0919360RH. Does anyone know why OBDeleven still reports the old software version even though the SOS issue has been resolved? Could the “Check Software Version Management” warning be related to the update package, or might the update have been only partially applied? Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated! 🙏 Thanks in advance! 🚗

  14. My March 2024 built RS diesel suffers from intermittent reboots. It might not happen for a month then it might return and happen a few times before stopping again for weeks. It seems to happen about 20ish seconds after i start the car.
  15. Hey everyone! 👋 I’m wondering if anyone has found a solution for enabling remote tailgate closing on the newer 6D modules used in Škoda models from 2021 onwards. My Škoda Superb Combi (2021) has the following 6D (Trunk Electronics / J605) module: Software number: 5WB 959 107 Software version: 0430 Hardware version: H04 I’ve been trying to activate tailgate closing from both the interior button and the remote key using OBDeleven. However, my module doesn’t have the adaptation options available on older 6D versions, such as “Activation using rear lid remote unlocking switch – Tap function for closing.” Has anyone managed to enable this feature on the newer 5WB 959 107 module? Is it possible through coding or adaptations, or would it require modifying the dataset? Any help, suggestions, or successful experiences would be greatly appreciated! 🙏 Thanks in advance! 🚗
  16. So, I just did this on a Škoda Octavia 4, and after the adaptation, it really is necessary to lock the car and let it sit undisturbed for at least half an hour—and everything works.
  17. Definitely a possibility, the engine I have is the earlier EA888.3 (as a few components were upgraded after 2017 i believe) but that could be a very possible outcome, its good to keep it in mind thankyou
  18. Probably not applicable in OPs case, but according to some online research, apparently EA888 G3B (2019 on) engines can have 'AVS' which is a dual-lobe cam on inlet or outlet valves, with some versions closing valves completely on light load - the reference was to Audi TFSI, but I wonder if it's in wider VAG use.
  19. Hi Guys, Everytime I lock or unlock my car this chime IMG_5148.movsounds and not sure what it is. Nothing is left on lights etc. I have problems with battery drainage after 3/4 days of no use so thinking it could be something to do with that maybe.
  20. Thanks guys it was the piston
  21. Surprisingly enough my engine has that code (being the EA888.3) If you don't have experience with that code on these engines it could be something more specific in the system (just a thought of course)
  22. Hi everyone, I am wondering whether this upgrade path is possible. I have a pre-facelift MK3 Octavia VRS with the MIB2 High glovebox unit (2 SD cards and internal SSD jukebox function). I currently have the 8" matte screen with physical buttons in the first picture, I'm wondering if the 8" glass screen in the second picture will work? Or even the 9.2 which I think is MIB 2.5? 5E0919606 is my current part and 5E0919605M is the new one. I apologise if I missed anything, thanks!😁

  26. Perhaps consider fitting a bigger aftermarket footrest for left foot?
  27. Thank you for this. My wife is now trying to stop 'riding' the clutch. Hopefully it won't need another new clutch in another 30,000 miles!
  28. Our new Fabia Design Auto is being delivered shortly. We have previously owned a Citygo and Yeti so know Skodas fairly well but wondering if there is anything we should be aware of or any useful hints and tips. Thank you. The new car will be blue so I guess my profile name is now rather misleading
  29. That's standard in my 2023 SEAT Ateca by pressing the 'View' button on the MFSW. TBH though I find it distracting and see no practical reason for it.
  30. Unfortunately, in the free version, the navigation is not centered, which means it can only be used with one View layout. The paid version is practically impossible to purchase, as the author doesn’t respond. I think there will be more updates from other developers soon, along with support for other units.
