  2. Why do you bother with the physical key? The Skoda app has remote locking / unlocking function.
  3. Ianhar started following DSG issues ?
  4. On 18000 miles ish now and maybe a gearbox issue, had a few times when it seems to be unsure of what gear to be in, and on one occasion pulling out pf a junction, no drive at all, engine revs rise but no forward motion, then it started to pull away. Anyone else had issues ? Car will be in for a service soon and will mention it then, but without them experiencing it i doubt they will investigate anything.
  5. Thank you everybody, sorted now.

  7. 2011 Red Monte Carlo 1.6 cr tdi (105) Reg 23rd November 2011 New to me 3rd June 2026 Standard just now with options of Full Size Spare Wheel and Cruise Control Planned Team Heko Wind Deflectors, New badges, Amundsen, Lowering Springs, Rear Anti Roll Bar, Wheel Refurb and new Rubber. Only done 61k with full Skoda Service History. Few wee bits of paint to sort out but pretty clean and goes quite well.
  8. Ah that makes sense. Had it in my head it was a safety thing. Alasdair
  9. I did it on my 2025 Monte Carlo Edition with OBDELEVEN. It's one of the pre coded options in the app and you can select either start off or on or alternatively you can set it to remember the last setting, which is the one I chose. I then turned it off from the steering wheel and it remains off until I choose to change it.

Also queued up for an 85 Sportline, from Marriott Ipswich. Ordered 7 August, build started week 40, but no news yet. Was originally quoted end November, so in line with your dates. Added a Maxx pack, Winter pack and Towbar.

  14. I believe the feature is to prevent the wipers catching on the hood lip when it's open.

  16. I see, thank you for the help in any case!
  17. It's not possible to do it on the pre facelift cluster by just enabling an option like you can on the facelift cars. You'll need something such as this to do it. https://fis-control.de/index_en.html
  18. Wipers caught me out as well. Had been servicing car and started it to get car upto temp to check oil level. Had changed wipers and went to check they were aligned ok and nothing. Moment of panic as well. Seems an odd safety feature?? Alasdair

  20. Hi @christy_berserk. For me it happens straight away as soon as i start the car at home or anywhere i am parked at work or shops and it's always been normal at these locations don't know if anything has changed at these locations and it's never happened as I'm driving. Maybe it has something to do with power transformers I'll have to look into it. Fortunately I've managed to get get it to work properly again and it hasn't for now at least had any issues been ok for 2 days now. I'll see tomorrow if it has problems connecting. I'm hoping it won't happen again. Thanks again for your suggestion.

  22. Hi everyone! Last month, I bought a used Nov 2023 Superb L&K 2L TSI - loving it so far! My previous cars were a 2014 Fiesta ST, then a 2021 A-Class, so this is a very different car, and very welcomed! I'm excited to learn more about my car, and potentially do some subtle tweaks/upgrades. I'm now all about comfort and style - I think I found the right car!

  25. Go for it mate, was very straight forward. I actually need to do mine again as I broke a vane using a cheap phone holder.
  26. No hadn’t considered that as a solution. Is that why the alarm hies off - because the keys are inside?

  28. I just spotted this, and was very confused lol Yeah, its an iV, I only tend to have 1/3 a tank of petrol in it as I do 95% of my driving on the pure EV side (10 mile commute, with free charging at work - so I rarely use the petrol engine. But the missus is away in it for the weekend, so no doubt it'll come back empty on Sunday!! Might try to eek it out a few weeks then and get the winter fuel. I knew about this with diesel's (my last 2 cars of 8 years), never knew it was a thing for petrol too. I had the original Cross Climates on my Seat Exeo, loved them - in the snow they were amazing, I remember driving around stuck 4x4s LOL I was assuming the newest models would be at least the same, if not better - no?
  29. I have the view on my dash that shows the amount of regen, I'm pretty invested in trying to brake early and using that regen to put power back in the battery - its almost like a game. Its when you go past that 100% regen and into actual braking, it just seems there's so much pedal travel to get any real braking. But yeah, when you press the pedal right down, it does brake sharply.
  30. On the drivers side B pillar of my 2026 Enyaq VRS. I'd imagine the 85 SEL is similar.
  31. Inside of the charger flap has a big rubber seal mounted on it so no stickers or ice scraper there. On the EV's the tyre pressure sticker is usually on drivers side B pillar.
  32. Hi, Thanks for getting back in touch so soon. I am thinking that the dash of any Skoda Superb concerning air vents is the same on any model. The elegance or L and K won’t make a difference to this part of the car in terms of trim. Yours is a mark II, the same as mine. I am going to risk it. The connector is showing on the Aliexpress image, so if it arrives and it doesn’t have one then I should be able to send it back. Thanks again. Jim.
  33. Hi guys, Recently my music streamed over CarPlay started crackling, I figured and read in different topics I probably need this software: MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P0080L_MU8755 As I now have MU8740 and that could cause the issue. I am struggling to find a trusted source to download it from, anybody here that can send it to me?
  34. Hi there eventually found old post Serrated face is 70nm plus 90deg Smooth face is 200nm plus 180deg Checked and they are still tight so will remove tomorrow when new bolts come and retorque/angle tighten. Reckon will need a fairly long bar extension to get 180deg. Still using car but only short journey per day and will keep an eye on it. Hope havent wrecked bearing but need to do front drive shafts at some point soon anyway. No noise from bearings as yet. Alasdair
  35. After some more digging through the online manual, I found that the setting is briefly shown in the braking assists video at about 1:00. That video describes the braking as "abrupt", which I think is a little mild for what it actually does.
  36. Hi @oxonpunter I don't have a tow bar, so I'm not sure if there are additional steps needed in your case. The setting for temporarily turning off the manoeuvre braking is available in the parking menu on my car. My mental checklist before reversing into my garage is: Turn off Auto Hold. I prefer the 'auto creep' for very slow speed reversing. And I really don't want to have to dab the accelerator to release auto hold and have the car lurch within the confined space of the garage if I need to make minor adjustments to my position. Select reverse gear. The camera and the parking menu appears on the infotainment screen. Open 'Settings' from the bottom of the menu on the screen, and turn off 'Manoeuvre Braking'. Re-select camera from the screen menu to hide the settings screen. Reverse into the garage, remembering to fold in the wing mirrors just before they reach the doorway. They will fit if extended, but there is less than an inch on either side so I don't risk it. 😉 Steps 2 and 3 there are the ones that you want. You can also get to the setting from the Park Assist screen if you need to turn it off when you are not reversing. I checked the online manual and I cannot see this setting documented anywhere. Remember the setting is not permanent; the auto braking will re-engage whenever you start the engine.
  37. Hello, anyone here has a download link for MEN2_EU_SKGPX_P9160L other then mibsolutions? Thanks
