  2. Does the cluster go blank when key is removed and car is locked. When I was working on my sons fabia I left key in ignition and battery went flat over two days. As said it may be a faulty ignition switch and car thinks key is still in it so not shutting down. Alasdair
  3. Your expectation isn't unreasonable, and the Approved Used wording backs you up a bit. On the Skoda Approved Used benefits pages that retailers publish (Marshall Skoda's, for example), the line is "all service work has been completed if due within 6 months, including your vehicle's cambelt", along with the 100+ point inspection and a copy of the report at collection. I'd find the same page on your selling dealer's own website, screenshot it, and ask them for the actual inspection report rather than the A4 prep sheet. That report is what says what they checked. Then it comes down to dates. Ask Worthing to print the maintenance list showing when each of the three items fell due. If any were already overdue, or due within six months of the date you bought it, put that to the selling dealer in writing with the printout and their own Approved Used wording attached. That's a much stronger position than "I think it should have been done". On the fluid question: Skoda's schedule for the Octavia is brake fluid first at 3 years, then every 2 years, whatever the mileage. A 2019 car should show it at 3 years and again at 5, and the next one falls this year, so check the history for both. As yours is a DSG there's no clutch pedal, so there's no separate clutch fluid to worry about. Start/Stop: Approved Used comes with a 30 day / 1,000 mile exchange if a demonstrable fault can't be fixed by the selling retailer. Report it to them in writing now while you're still inside that window, even if it turns out to be nothing more than battery charge. Then it's on record either way, and the 12 month warranty is there behind it.
  4. Sleep pack can be - headrests and you change a section of the door trim for the one with the roller blind cartridge in (and install clips to hook it onto). I looked for that as kids get a fair amount of sun in the rear despite the windows being partially tinted. Went for Snapshades instead - frame with mesh covering but shaped to the rear door opening and magnets hold them in place. Work perfectly and if the kids don’t want them they can take them off and chuck ‘em on the rear parcel shelf. Come from Oz and we’re here within the week.
  5. Hi. Thanks for the reply I’ve tried the fuse 35 and it’s still happening. Does this video help any better? This is the noise I was on about. Cheers TomIMG_5227.mov
  6. Bought it from this listing on eBay. VAT was already included, but a couple of weeks after delivery, UPS slapped me with a £7 customs processing fee on top, which is still not too bad. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/267743686604
  7. I would have expected the glove box light to be switch operated, on when open off when closed, my 2025 Fabia has no glove box light. Cost cutting.
  8. I just did the same as you, I guess. Just downloaded the sheets from the app. And yes, I think maybe the only thing they didn't put on the car was the panoramic roof....!
  9. Today
  10. What a great spec. How did you get the digital certificate? The one I get in the app just shows the service history etc. (2019 model)
  11. I am searching for MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T too. Can anybody give it to me? Thanks in advance.
  12. Almost like ours. We have 2018/2.0tdi/4mo/L&K with options. Its missing only TV and Sleep pack. Sleep pack could be retrofitted. Should I? I think TV was not an option in Finland back in the days.

  17. I have the 4x4 tdi version, and I was wondering, what are the main changes in car s behavior, when these modes are involved...it seems that manual is not that clear, and also minor differences apply depending on production period...mine is 5/25, so production period is 11/24 -6/25...

  21. Be aware there are 3 “280” engines: EA888.3 pre GPF CJXA 280 EA888.3 GPF DNUA 272 EA888.4 GPF DNFE 280 Won’t tell the difference in standard form but the Gen4 is revised and has bigger turbo. For an off the shelf (RacingLine/Revo/APRetc) remap it also turns 280 into c.400 because of the big turbo. No impact on economy - I can get the same results as numskull on a longer run.

  23. There's a thread in the Karoq Forum on this issue, may be worth a look
  24. Hope so, 1 owner car L&K wagon 4x4 DNUA <40K miles
  25. Priming can be done w/o VCDS. Just with setting contact ON and OFF (w/o starting the engine) several times. 10s ON / 15s OFF. Then start the engine and rev at 15000rpm for 20-30s to get rid of potential bubbles.... I've done this on 6 TDI engines over the last 20 years. No problem at all.
  26. Cybertruck killed Did Elmo get to Mars yet 🤣 https://apnews.com/article/cybertruck-cybercab-discontinued-musk-sales-6938a145d365f8e31b26bb9c45264b24?
  27. Thank you, it is a good car you will like it!
  28. So you should be able to get going by swapping over parts OR wiring. I have no experiance of the new Superb lights, but hopefully I will start learning if the one I see next weekend is the right car. Good luck!!
  29. So the “new” ones are used ones. (Perfect condition, from the outside.) So the “new” ones are built in, with the factory control module( i bought it with it.). I tried with the old one but the symptoms are the same sadly. But if i just unplug it and plug the connector to my old one, that one works perfectly. I mean here that the old one do everything except the new one which is not doing the calibrate and not leveling.
  30. In the UK we call it CP Component protection. Your dealer would have been able to release it IF it had CP using ODIS I would have thought using function enabling. Did your lights come with new modules or did you swap them from your old lights?
  31. I purchased my current Octavia, a year ago under Skodas approved used scheme, yes the servicing was up to date to Skodas service schedule, I checked, prior to buying. Although their oil change was 1/4 of a litre low on the max level of the dipstick, as I checked it when I arrived home, cold & hot read. I just topped it up. My car has just been in again for it's last Skoda service (a year later), as the supplying dealer offered me a one off free MOT with them. Plus they collected & dropped my car off for free. Again I checked my oil level, again a 1/4 of a litre down from the maximum level, may just be standard practice. I've just paid them £230 for the minor service, inc the free mot. Next year, I'll be using an independent. I also purchased a previous Octavia, within the past, different dealership, under their approved used scheme. This time they deceived me with regards to it's previous service history, it was missing one service, they promised me that it had a fsh, just their systems were down, couldn't print off a copy. After I purchased it, I again chased the service history up with them, eventually I received a printed copy, 1 service missing. Fortunately with a bit of detective work, I tracked the missing service down to an independent, checking it's mot history. I rung the independent, explained the situation, they emailed me proof of the service. Regarding your original question about missing servicing items, I'm not surprised. I've been buying used cars for a very long time, generally speaking dealerships just want the sale, often cut corners to achieve it. I'd first ring the service manager up within the supplying dealership first, explain that the car is not fully serviced, would he rectify this for free? As it's an approved car. If he won't, I'd then possibly take it up with Skoda directly, put in an official complaint in writing, stating that you'd expect an approved car to be fully up to date with it's servicing, what resolve you are expecting, await their response. Or another option, as you are within the 30 day rejection period, look to reject the car with the supplying dealership, due to it not being serviced up to a satisfactory standard & it being faulty, not fit for purpose, as the start & stop system is not working at all. Again you'd need to put this in writing to the dealership, send it recorded, so that you have proof of posting. Regards to your S/S, sounds like your battery is getting down a bit, may need replacing, coding in. I've never found any S/S system to fully work 100% of the time, but if I were to use it (I don't), I'd expect it to work at least 50% of the time. All really depends how strongly you feel about this, how far you want to take it. I've always found the friendly option, ringing them directly, first, the least stress option. I purchased my current Octavia locally from a Skoda dealer, not for better service, just closer to go back to within the event I had an issue.
