I put a full set of Linglong Greenmax all season tyres on my Octavia, 205 55 16 91v, 7 months ago, so caught the tail end of last winter. They were decent on snow/ice/slush, good all year round. Although I don't drive to their limits often, I just wanted a tyre I could use all year round that felt safe. No they're not as good as Michelin tyres, but I've had those in the past, too. I paid £54 per corner for them, fitted. I drive an estate with 16" wheels fitted, so it suites my needs, don't need to drive it like a sports car. They are also wearing very well, as I've only lost 0.5mm from the front two over 5k driven, so far. I thought I'd give them a try, as I generally fit mid range tyres, not disappointed. If I still have my car by the time they hit 3mm, I'll replace all 4 with whatever I fancy, next. Probably all season tyres again, as they suit my needs.

This might could be a model year difference, I ditched CarPlay because it wasn’t fully integrated with the steering wheel controls and the digital dash in my 2023 Sportline- but I understand in later cars 25/26, it is.

waze is displayed via android auto. Works beautifully. Voice defined destinations too.

Not just smooth but good body control by using advanced multilink suspension rather than torsion as oft used in B segment cars. Paired with low centre of gravity too. Much better than my first Renault 5 Campus of decades ago.

Mine is also booked in at National Windscreens. The online reviews are mixed to say the least! Hope I have a similar experience to yourself. Where is the manufacturer label on the windscreen? Some reviews I read indicated they don't use genuine parts. Thanks for the heads up. Will do.

Renault has always had a reputation, along with Citroën for an excellent smooth ride.

Good to drive too with its suspension geomerty. 18 inch wheels bit big and I wish uk had the All Season option with 16s or 17s. Other than that ok for a 2 or 3 adult seater and 1 or 2 smallish kids.

Is that a round crater I can see in one of the valves (images 3&4)? A lot of pitting on piston crown - I'd suspect that could lead to issues given the conditions during combustion.

Note, that Maneuver braking doesn't activate at very low speed und cuts off over a certain value. I can't remember the exact values, but just on the top of the head, I would say it activates from 3-5 km/h to 15km/h. 'Electronic systems gurus', feel free to correct me if these values are wrong. Otherwise, you can make some test with an empty cardboard box behind your car. It won't be risky. 😉

On Kodiaq MK1 FL (TDI200 DQ381), coasting is also set in Normal mode. But I have to say coasting activation is quite smooth and I don't really notice it. Thus, it doesn't bother me when it's activated... I think, they've made progress in the geabox settings...

This is what I would do. I already jumped the gun on the previous project and bought Passat B8 LEDs and a spare set of mirror housings to mount them in to. Will need cutting and gluing but a significantly cheaper option than the pre-made ones on AliExpress, or OEM.

Hi, @Binx1310 Just sharing my humble experience. I used to have BSD LEDs in the mirror glasses on my ex Superb Mk3, but I way more prefer the BSD LEDs in the mirror housings on my current Kodiaq Mk1. Additionally, you can trim the LEDs intensity from the MMI (assuming you get OEM parts and correct coding). Much safer!

B4s are the standard replacements and I went with these and eibach pro on my 64 TDI VRS, they were a great combo. A bit lower than standard but still comfy enough. Throw on wheel spacers and the clubsport RARB and it felt really good. I have a 68 VRS tsi now on standard everything until the warranty is done and it feels boat like in comparison 😂
