Audi TT Seats
2012, a fatal accident here in Greece to a pro-racer. Take a look below the seat, a wrong modification cause it.

Audi TT Seats
Sometimes the frame does not fit and need customization which means money and time plus cutting-welding isn't always the best for safety. We have seen seats detach from their frame with fatal results for the driver. Even without modification the seat has different dimensions (width-height) so in the end you can end-up with seat higher than before and have problems with the seat belt bracket. You have to measure so many things before, it's a risk.

Does anyone have an original thermostat for 1.3mpi facelift felicia?
I had the same problem in the past, a new thermostat this type costs about 24 euro. If i was you a would buy a new one but if you look hat part only you can buy a new Vika for 6 euros and use that part only. If you use a used one it's a risk, soon or latter you will have an issue.

Engine bay surprises
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanOne of saddest days in my life with Trusty, 5 years back the return from a beach Cafe turn to be a nightmare. Was the day that the radiator fan motor decide to leave this vanity World. In the beginning i thought was the fuse or the relay or the switch but No. For first time i had to call for Road Assistance and thankfully i wasn't in the country far away from town. I don't want to live a moment like this again.

Checking transmission fluid level on 1999 Skoda Felicia 1.3MPI manual gearbox - help please!
Take you time and do not overfill. Try not to pull the cable too much otherwise you will have problem with the white clip inside the dashboard (connects the cable with the back of the factory gauge). Also don't put grease in the end of that square wire rope, let it dry to ''click'' better.

Checking transmission fluid level on 1999 Skoda Felicia 1.3MPI manual gearbox - help please!
A degrease spray (even a carb cleaner) can help plus some gently knocks (from all sides) with a hammer like this will help for more slacking.

Checking transmission fluid level on 1999 Skoda Felicia 1.3MPI manual gearbox - help please!
I thought that you problem was only the latest part, the teflon gear. Now the photo shows that your problem is ''bigger'' but as i can see it you can try pull it out with a plier after you use a cleaner-spray to remove any dirt around it and slack it gently.

Checking transmission fluid level on 1999 Skoda Felicia 1.3MPI manual gearbox - help please!
You mean this white in the end? https://a.d-cd.net/wiAAAgEL7-A-960.jpg I think it's from Teflon, too hard to be smashed and go to the drain plug in small pieces. Engine bay surprises
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanA month ago i had another unpleasant surprise, i was standing in the traffic light and i noticed that the temperature on the factory gauge was rising more that 92 'C which is not usual in light traffic. Immediately i said to myself ''NO, NO, not again!" ,i turn the switch to the Heat and i rushed to go to the parking lot while the needle was showing about 99' C and i couldn't hear the ventilator motor working! Also i noticed that i had no Long Beam signal and no Horn (i discover these because i was in a hurry and tried to notify the driver in front of me that the light turned to Green). I parked the car and my first move was to check the fuse box and yes, the guilty was an 25A fuse which i don't know why but decide to leave this World suddenly. I have spare fuses in my trunk's tool bag, replace it and every came back to normal while the radiator fan start spinning. The next move was to open the hood for inspection, everything fine and case closed. Yes it was something simple but imagine this at night in a country road or to happen in a driver which does not knows the basics. Final thought: i wish my Felicia had some kind of Warning for the coolant temperature rising. 😟

Tailgate wiring harness
1st photo: the original with ''scrap work'' by me which didn't last long. 2nd: the patent from the mechanic which ''married'' 2 grommets. Some others as example. Different provider from different country-year so different stamps, shapes etc.

Tailgate wiring harness
While organizing my folders on the computer i have found another 2 pictures from the procedure that the electrician send me back then: The first attempts by me to ''cover'' the problem didn't last long. So a patent by a Pro with the front door grommet is done, the photos are from May 2021.

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanAn older ''surprise'' from the 2 cables than i mention above. I find that damage in a routine engine-bay inspection.

Skoda Felicia ECU overdo spraying
Friendly advice to anyone who wants to buy a used ECU: if you are not car programmer or have high knoledge in car's electronics DO NOT buy ''second hand'' ECU units especially from internet. If the seller does not provide you some sort of warranty (some give up to 6 months) don't buy them just because the image looks right, many of them have problems inside the chips-plate, seal with cracks etc or outside as pins broken or with corrosion. Here we have an example of the opposite, the previous owner sprayed the plugs too much for protection (storage). So this means more work for the new owner to clean this mess and who knows of what's happening inside the unit. Since the risk is huge let the ''expert'' do the job and take the responsibility.

How much time do you warm-up your Felicia?
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanUpdate: Due to the summer vacations i manage to make a trip to the country, i had in the odometer only few kilometres in City traffic and the rest were an National Highway and Mountain roads although i was carrying some heavy luggages. 11th Gas station pump test: 255,8 Km distance, 18,660 ltr fuel which means 7,29 ltr / 100 km or 38.74 Uk mpg which are very good results. As for the Cold starts although the temperature was high the ''fastest'' always were at the noon, in the morning always i had a ''delay'' but never count it in seconds but i don't think would be less than 3:40

Favorit paint codes
D.FYLAKTOS replied to chargerbandit's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanWhy don't you make a difference and paint them something else that none Felicia owner has? Chrome or black for example.

Tailgate wiring harness
Excellent job ! Simple-cheap silicone won't last more than a year, you have to apply silicone for aquarium: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/CCkAAOSwVRNZgmbC/s-l1600.jpg https://www.cvexotics.com/uploads/1/3/6/0/136043125/s997513736972108604_p664_i1_w1500.jpeg to be sure at least for 10 years. The worst ''enemy'' is the bending procedure every time you close the trunk door, after some time a ''crack'' can show-up in the plastic tube, happened to me twice but let's hope that won't happen to you.

Engine bay surprises
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanA friend of mine with Opel Astra, he thought he could pass some stagnant water, the car stopped, he turn the engine off and then tried to turn it on! This cost him 1600 euro because the soaked water end up inside the engine and "game over".

Electric windows
They work even with the key out, slowly roll-up than when the motor is running of course.
-
Electric windows
No problem, digging in old threads is very good! Is something wrong with yours? I have changed the window mechanisms in all my windows but the mechanics never told me to fit from another car.

What is this bolt in front of the engine?
Few months back i was reading an article about plugs that a motor has as a safety feature, i think was for expansion of the water due ice-cold situations.

Engine bay surprises
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThey copy whatever they see in movies from USA although their road and distances have nothing to do with Europe, many of them buy them as a sign of ''i have money'', others to intimidate other drivers in cross-roads (''look, i have a massive car and i will pass'' and the most ridiculous comment was that: ''in a case of a crash i have a bigger vehicle than the other guy so i wont get hurt much as him". Yes it true if they crash with a much smaller car but those show off idiots never heard that the more the mass the more the momentum when they crashed in something steady and tough as wall-tree, they can turn over very easy, can not perform suddenly S turns etc. Many year back here in GR some upstart silly people start buying Hummer but the very soon they discovered that they could afford the cost of maintenance and they couldn't drive that jeep in small streets of find a parking spot and start selling it at a humiliating price . ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back to engine surprises: Few days back when i was in a traffic light i heard a 'Hssss'' sound from the engine bay, the sound was present at low rpm and was continuing till the time i was parking the car. My first though was the pulley belt, i opened the hood and i saw that was OK, i checked deeper and what i found? A plastic tie-wrap was broken and the protection of the cable was touching the pulley belt and rubbed against him. It was a matter of seconds that the cable would be cut and burn a fuse, thank God i was lucky and i discovered on time otherwise when i was starting the car at the end of the shift at night after few meters i would be in a serious condition.
