  1. nickytheshaft's profile states a VRS
  2. You've both got different engines. You're not comparing like for like. My 1.6 TDI idles at 750/800 RPM regardless of what load the engine has. It only goes to 1000 RPM when it's doing a regen.
  3. I've read the original post and OP says the windsceen washer isn't working along with the rear wiper Are you saying the pump doesn't work for either front and rear?
  4. You're talking about the heater fan? I thought you were talking about the engine cooling fan.
  5. Is the fan running from a cold start?
  6. As the dash lights dim I suggest you get the battery and alternator checked out.
  7. Are you just looking for answers from 1.5 TSI owners?
  8. Thanks for letting us know the outcome, so many don't.
  9. That coil light can come on for many reasons. Start stop failing could be a failing battery. Suggest you get the battery and alternator checked out first.
  10. Where I park it's level ground, so i just leave it in P, handbrake off.
  11. What engine do you have? Manual or auto?
  12. Is the fuel guage fluctuating as well?
  13. Is the engine getting up to temperature going by the water temp guage?
  14. Ask an insurance company.
  15. Good question. You were right.
  16. Did you use the same keys on your wifes car?
  17. If I understand correctly, he's fitted a device which senses when the voltage in the battery is getting low and cuts power to the circuit he's running his cooler from.
  18. Low battery voltage can throw up all sorts of fault codes & warning lights. How does the car run? How old is the battery?
  19. I like them permanent, as I like to keep the dash cam running. So far I've managed to remember to unplug it when I know the car won't be used for awhile.
  20. Are you sure it has this function? @gregoirmentioned his cooler box flattened the battery and he now uses a 3rd party cut out system.
