Coming/leaving home lights (I do I activate them) Octavia VRS 2010 2.0 ltr (FL)
Proper CH/LH needs a rain light sensor (RLS) plus an auto light switch then the settings can be configured via the maxidot (instrument cluster). There are no car related setting via the infotainment/radio for this generation, only via the maxidot. If I remember correctly, the vRS doesn't get a RLS, auto light switch or maxidot as standard I think you can get 'manual' CH (but not LH) by using this method: https://www.servicetutorials.com/en/2020/01/07/how-to-set-activate-coming-home-without-light-rain-sensor-on-vw-golf-mk6-gti-jetta-in-3-steps/

Factory Alarm? & OBD Eleven Coding!
Taken from https://www.thatcham.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/January-2021-OE.pdf It's in the Category 1 section: So that would be: R - Remote T - Transponder S - Software Lock U - Ultrasonic M - Microwave L - Central Locking Anti-tilt motion/jacking up the car? Probably not, easy to check with a jack... Exterior proximity sensor/protection? Probably not, try kicking it or quickly dropping it off the jack Door, Boot, Bonnet, Trunk protection? Yup Battery Back-up siren? Yup (should last ~6 years and will create a fault code when flat). Thatcham category 1 or 2? Cat 1 I'm not sure a better alarm will deter theft. These days cars are often stolen to order so if yours fits, they'll still take it A tracker maybe a better option as at least the cops can hopefully find whoever took it.

Coming/leaving home lights (I do I activate them) Octavia VRS 2010 2.0 ltr (FL)
I'd dump the H7 LED kit... It's not road legal and a decent set of halogens will give better light output, especially at distance where you need it. Just keep your headlights cleaned and aligned properly. As for the instrument cluster, it's probably the LEDs inside that are failing. It's quite common on the age of MK2 it seems. There is a guide on their replacement here: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/425611-instrument-cluster-led-replacment/ Not on a MK2 Octavia I'm afraid The OP will need VCDS or similar to enable them. The exact coding will depend on the equipment fitted so it might be worth check the VCDS owners map and owners list for someone local who can help

Change to ABS Pump part number
Hopefully the car is still apart or they at least took some pictures of the parts for you. If the original ABS module has been refitted, a VCDS scan or similar should also confirm the part number - assuming it's still communicating

Skoda Octavia MK2 issues with wiring for trailers.
Assuming you did need coding, there are plenty of member with VCDS that are happy to do coding if required, it'll just depend where in England you are to who is local Anyway, I assume you're still trying to use the TEB7AS mentioned in your other thread? Not sure what the other module you've tried is? In which case, it seems others have had it working on a MK2 Octavia: - https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/209000-tow-bar-bypass-relay-wiring/?do=findComment&comment=2470657 - https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/179204-mkii-fog-light/?do=findComment&comment=2155362 I'd wire it up as: - Yellow, left indicator - Green, right indicator - Red, brake light (either side) - Blue, fog light (drivers side as stock cars only have one side enabled) - Grey, reverse light (either side) - Black, securely taped up - Brown, securely taped up - White, a good clean earth point! You've not mentioned if you're using a single 7 pin (12N), dual 7 pin (12N+12S) or a 13 pin socket. Therefore, I'd suggest you use the screw terminals on the TEB7AS to check which are getting power. Skoda Octavia MK2 issues with wiring for trailers.
I'd contact the bypass kit manufactures and see what they suggest? Otherwise maybe ask a local towbar installer if they have any experience with the Octavia and what kit they would recommend. Personally, this is one of the reasons I prefer dedicated kits over bypass style on modern cars

ABS, Traction, Tyre pressure lights all on dash
A wheel speed sensor would... There aren't pressure sensors, instead TPMS is done by comparing the rotation of each wheel via the wheel speed sensors. It could also be a corroded reluctor ring that the sensor reads. Ideally, the fault codes need checking with something VAG specific like VCDS.

Android 11 & Android Auto Wireless
We don't tend to use model years in the UK to describe vehicle ages. In this case, I expect they have a 70 plate which is likely a MY21 with an MIB3 headunit.

Experience of upgrading the firmware on Amunsden MIB2.5 system
I think it's actually developer mode rather than diagnostic mode? I don't recall needing to enable it when I did my firmware update...

VCDS / OBD coding inputs for MY 2020 Kodiaq
You should have a look around MQB-FPA, the section you're most interested in is profile position it returns to after restart. The only tweak I've made to my dataset is that the 'vRS mode' button only lights up in 'sport' rather than in every mode apart from 'normal'. Be warned, there are very real risks involved when modifying datasets so make sure you fully understand what you're doing...

vcds help
In which case, reinstall the latest 20.12 version and contact ross-tech for support (https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php). Assuming it's a genuine interface, I'm sure they'll help you to get it up and running Feel free to post a picture of it as that may also help clear this up.

Towbar coding
You might want to start by posting an autoscan, the coding will depend what modules are fitted

Replacement windscreen - does ADAS need calibration
No it doesn't, it used two rear radar units behind the rear bumper Still, I agree that given the OP doesn't have lane assist, no recalibration should be needed after windscreen replacement.

VCDS / OBD coding inputs for MY 2020 Kodiaq
The first one isn't valid for MQB vehicles as there is no 'channel 34' :( The second one isn't possible by VCDS but looks to be possible by dataset modification

Canton system - can't listen to it
Plenty of people are happy with the stock and canton systems. Or at least happy enough they don't want to spend money changing it. As the connection between the headunit and amp is optical, the cheapest changes are likely to be replacing the speakers and adding sound deadening to the doors. Might be worth talking to an audio shop to see if they have recommendations? This might help:

PDC Parking Module Software update?
Best bet is to contact a few VAG retrofit specialists to see if any can tweak the module if you post it to them. Lockdown restrictions means most are probably too far away to travel to. https://www.vw-retrofit.co.uk/ seem to be closeish but I've never dealt with them.

Part number
There are numerous versions which all look pretty similar depending on DSG/manual, backlight colour and if the wheel is heated. The part number will depend on which variant it is

Playback from SD Card - MP3's first track missing from album
Our Octavia's have the same headunit but mine is running slightly newer software. If you can share the files and directory structure, I can chuck them on a spare SD and see if they work for me

2017 Yeti Rear DRL’s
Certainly possible but not with VCDS. You'll need to tweak the lighting configuration directly in the BCM EEPROM using VCP or ODIS-e
-
PDC Parking Module Software update?
ODIS or VCP can flash software and datasets, the harder part is finding the dataset... Where are you based? There are a few VCP owners on the forum so if you find one close, they should be able to check which datasets they have access to. Otherwise, there are a few companies that have access to ODIS who may be able to help. Including some that can do remote help if you have the right hardware

Speed ,i items to be fitted to all new cars by 2022
As far as I know, you need ODIS with a valid certificate and an online subscription to access the VAG servers. You can re-activate any SWaP/FeC codes that are linked to the VIN. Some are available to purchase later such as Smartlink or drive modes (at least for VW). I have no idea if TSR is just a dataset or SWaP/FeC issue on later cars, nor if there is any easy path to enabling it.

Change to ABS Pump part number
Welcome! At a guess, that part number is for cars a MK60 pump (with ESP) but your car has a MK70 pump (without ESP). It might help if you can confirm the part numbers of your existing ABS pump/unit
-
Speed ,i items to be fitted to all new cars by 2022
I expect it's become a FeC/SWaP function to stop people activating it for free It's normal that speed signs on the instrument cluster to need an appropriate camera and TSR enabled. Without the camera/TSR, it'll just show on the radio screen.

Wanted.
I'd earth it to a suitable point on the chassis. That's how the originals would have been wired in. As for the light switch, I believe it's pin 5 on the light switch to connector A, pin 21 on the BCM

Option codes
Those wires aren't stock. You might need to take some trim off to find out what's been done. Looks like it's been cut off whatever it was...
