While not fantastic, 7.5 litres per 100 Km equates to a little over 37.5 mpg - which, depending on type of driving style and trip, is not all that bad - I wouldn't call it 'abnormal' You quote your previous consumption as around 6.5 litres / 100 km a year ago - this makes a little under 6 mpg difference. Are your tyre pressures correct? This can make a significant difference to fuel consumption. You seen a little uncertain when the oil was last changed - it is entirely possible that the oil used was not the correct grade, this could make some difference. How many miles since the last oil change - and how many miles do you travel per year?

+1 for check battery condition for the stop-start error.

Front assist will only 'kick in' with full ABS mode if the system thinks you are not producing enough pressure on the brake pedal to avoid any obstruction the front assist radar is seeing. If the system can see that you are already reacting, it will not do anything. It takes very steady nerves (and judgement) to test it in real conditions! - unless you have some sort of soft, reflective, target to try it out on.

Also be very careful about small metal objects like that hair clip near the socket.

Ideally, use the same fuel pump to do the top ups if possible, that way you will know the fuel tank is approx. same level.

Hi Gru, welcome to the forum. I think you should get a quote from a few other places! I had my cam and auxiliary belt changed during a service in November 2021 - cost was £436.66 for parts and labour. This was at a large independent. The cambelt kit (including tensioner) was £98.42.

The energy recuperation system on these micro-hybrids tries to maximise battery charging on overrun or braking, meaning that the alternator will not usually charge the battery to more than 60-75%. One thing to watch - you say you have dash cam, does this remain on when parked? As Viking says, at 6 years, it is possible that battery is starting to fail. A battery condition test after a full recharge should give some indication is this is the case. EFB and AGM batteries require around 14.6 VDC to charge.
